    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Jurnal Pembelajaran Fisika, Vol 6 No. 3, September 2017, hal 305-311Most people are often doing indoor activities that they demand indoor comfort to carry out better, calmer, and comfortable activities. This study aims to assess the change of room temperature towards time in Building 3 FKIP Jember University. The research was conducted in lecture room number 35C 201, 35B 203, 35B 101, and 35E 105Building 3 FKIP Jember University. The method used was adescriptive method. Data was analyzed using One-Way Anova using SPSS 22. The results of this study indicate that the ambient temperature in the room changes by time, in general it appears that the room temperatureat 06.00 until 17.00 had a p-value (significance) <0.05, which means there is a significant temperature difference. However, there are several variables that had a p-value (significance) ≥ 0.05 that means no significant temperature difference. The average temperature measurement shows that the highest average is in room 35C 201 (28,445 o C), while the lowest is in 35E 105 (27,8 o C). The average temperature of the four rooms scored above optimal comfort scale, which is 28.1 o C, or higher. The lowest average temperature is obtained at 06.00 WIB with 26 o C and the highest average is at 13.00 that reached 29,525 o

    Students’ Ability In Solving Physics Problems on Newtons’ Law of Motion

    The ability to solve physics problems is one of the goals in learning physics and a part of the current curriculum demands. One of the physics problems that are often the focus of attention in learning is Newton's law of motion. When solving physics problems on Newton's law of motion, students need to utilize various aspects of certain abilities and rules. The purpose of this study was to reveal how the students utilized aspects of the abilities and rules in problem-solving. The study was conducted by providing physics problems on Newton's law of motion to 105 high school students. The result showed that most students were able to write equations, solutions, and system of units correctly for each problem. However, students’ ability to determine the coordinate axes, depicts free-body diagrams, forces representation, and determine the resultant forces and direction of motion was unsatisfactory. Students tended to refer to the mathematical formulations in solving the problems. Therefore, physics learning that requires students to actively learn collaboratively, peer instruction, and procedural thinking can be used as an alternative learning strategy to overcome said problems

    Rancang Bangun Alat Peraga Fisika Efek Doppler Menggunakan Modul Sensor Suara dan Arduino

    Telah dilakukan perancangan alat peraga fisika efek doppler menggunakan modul sensor suara dan arduino. Alat peraga ini dirancang dari beberapa unit yaitu sensor suara FC-04 sebagai pendeteksi suara, dan sensor jarak HC-SR04 sebagai alat untuk mendeteksi jarak benda. Data yang diperoleh dari sensor akan ditampilkan melalui layar monitor laptop. Pada perancangan alat peraga fisika ini menggunakan desain pengembangan dari Nieveen, dengan tahapan-tahapannya ialah studi pendahuluan, perencanaan, dan penilaian. Sensor jarak dalam mengukur jarak memiliki tingkat kelinieran yang sangat tinggi yaitu 0,9822 %. Sedangkan untuk sensor suara dalam penelitian ini mampu mendeteksi bunyi dengan frekuensi 500 Hz sampai 3000 Hz dan memiliki tingkat kelinieran dengan alat ukur frekuensi sebesar 0,8386%. Hasil uji coba lapang yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai error terendah -4,147 % dan nilai error tertinggi sebesar 3,335 %. Selain itu, didapatkan hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan nilai y = 0,9787x+1119,6 dan R Square (R2) sebesar 0,959 %

    AbstractScience module based on local wisdom of coffee was an alternative on developlearning tools by integrating local wisdom into science materials. This research wasa development research using Plomp development model that was adjusted into 4phases. The purposes of this research were to describe the validity of science modulebased on local wisdom of coffee, effectiveness and student's response. Theeffectiveness of science module was calculated from aspects of cognitive learningresult and student learning acitivities. The data collection methods were validation,test, observation, questionnaire and documentation. Science module based on localwisdom of coffee on material work and energy in Junior High School was valid withfinal validation result 4.39. Field trials were conducted in class VIIIA Argopuro 2Suci Junior High School with total of 39 students. The result of classical learningachievement was 82.05% and total percentage of student learning activity was84.33% with very active category. Both values indicate that science modules basedon local wisdom of coffee on material work and energy in Junior High School effectivewere viewed from aspects of learning result and student learning activities.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran PBL berbantuan E-LKPD terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajarserta respon siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berbantuanE-LKPD pada pokok bahasan besaran dan satuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalaheksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Jember tahunajaran 2022/2023 dengan menggunakan dua sampel penelitian yaitu kelaskontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas danjika data terdistribusi normal akan dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesismenggunakan uji independent sampel t test, sedangkan jika data tidakterdistribusi normal maka akan dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan mannwhitney u. Setelah dilakukan analisis data diperoleh hasil untuk aktivitas belajardilakukan uji t dan menghasilkan signifikan sebesar 0,000 yang artinya tesdinyatakan signifikan dan untuk hasil belajar dilakukan uji mann whitney ukarena data tidak terdistribusi normal dan didapatkan hasil signifikan sebesar0,000 yang artinya tes dinyatakan signifikan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkanterdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan E-LKPD terhadap aktivitas dan hasilbelajar siswa SMA pada pokok bahasan besaran dan satuan

    This research aims to assess the influence of project based learning modelusings surrounding for student learning outcomes of physics and to describe the students activity who learned physics by using project based learning model use surrounding. This research is experimental reaserch using Post-Test Only Control design. The sampling using purposive sampling technique and the classes are chosen X-Tr class for experimental class and X-Mm class for control class. The independent variable in this research is project based learning model using surrounding and the dependent variable is student learning outcomes of phisycs and student learning activities. The results show that (1) project based learning model using surrounding give significant influence to student learning outcomes of physics, (2) student activities of phisycs learning by using project based learning model using surrounding were included in the category of very high.Â
