of the occult not only lived in the past but penetrated freely until Era 4.0. Although the development of the world has advanced in such a way as with the sophistication of its technology, the belief in supernatural and magical things cannot be erased. The magical world has its own charms and problems in the lives of Balinese people. Undeniably, the attractiveness often invites the attention of the author in welcoming and recording the phenomenon into literary works. In this paper examines modern Balinese literary works in the form of short stories. The short stories studied were taken from a collection of Leak Pemoroan stories written by I Wayan Sadha. This study examines three short stories in a collection of Pemoroan Leak short stories entitled Jeg Pragat Ka Balian, Pemoroan Leak and Walik Sumpah. The focus of the discussion in this paper is to raise the magical aspects contained in the three short stories that have been mentioned. The magical aspects to be discussed are the Pangiwa aspect and the Panengen aspect contained in the short story. Keywords: Magic, Pangiwa, Panengen, Short Story, modern Balinese literatur

Translation of English Passive Sentences into Indonesian

    No full text
This study aimed at comparing the English passive voice with Indonesian passive voice using the English-Indonesian passive translation results. From the perspectives of passive structure translation, the study was expected to find out the variations of English passive translation into Indonesian since passive structure can also be found in Indonesian. The choice of verbs in the Indonesian passive sentence was determined by the action conducted by the doer found in the sentence whether it was intentionally or unintentionally done by the doer. When the doer did the action intentionally, the verb with prefix di- will be applied whereas unintentional action is marked by prefix ter-

The Translation of English It-cleft Sentences Into Indonesian

    No full text
The translations of English It-Cleft Sentences into Indonesian is the topic of this study. It is interesting to study because there is cleft construction in Indonesian. Since there is no cleft construction in Indonesian, sometimes the result of the translation can be awkward. The purposes of this study are to find out the translation of English cleft sentences into Indonesian found in The Intelligent Investor book and to analyze the naturalness of the translation in Indonesian. The sentences were collected through note taking technique and then analyzed qualitatively by using the theories of Quirk (1986) regarding cleft sentences, and Newmark (1988) related to the levels of translation. The results show that the sentences were translated into both simple and complex sentences in the Indonesian TL. From the translation results can be seen that not all of the sentences sound natural in the target language because the cleft construction is not found in Indonesian, however, the meaning of the sentence can be transferred into the target language

Following a rigorous, carefully concerns and considered review of the article published in International Journal of Communication and Society toarticleentitled “Computer mediated communication for construction-supported constructivism in communication and cultural learning" [International Journal of Communication and Society Vol 1, No 1, 2019, 34-42], DOI: https://doi.org/10.31763/ijcs.v1i1.29 . This paper has been found to be in violation of the International Journal of Communication and Society Publication principles and has been retracted. This article has been retracted at the request of the Supervisor, Rustam Shadiev (Nanjing Normal University, China), of the author, Wayan Sintawati (Nanjing Normal University, China), because the author didn't communicate with him to publish the research work in this journal and didn't write his name on the article as responsible to teamwork effort. This practice is count as the unethical publication of the International Journal of Communication and Society.Â

Title: Modeling of animal groups based on individual goals Author: Ema Wayan Danielová Department: Department of Macromolecular Physics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Viktor Holubec, Ph.D. Abstract: Collective motion represents a fascinating example of self-organization in non-equilibrium systems. This work introduces and examines a modified Vicsek model of collective motion, enhanced with alignment-induced local attractive and repulsive interactions. Numerical simulations demonstrate that such a system spontaneously forms stable clusters with a characteristic size determined by the interaction radius. The results show that group cohesion can be achieved even without periodic boundary conditions and by using using finite-range interactions that are reasonable from a biological perspective. RNDr. Viktor Holubec, Ph.D. Abstrakt: Kolektivní pohyb představuje fascinující příklad samoorganizace v nerovnovážných systémech. V této práci je navržena a zkoumána modifikace Vicsekova modelu kolektivního pohybu doplněná o lokální přitažlivé a odpudivé interakce vyvolané optimalizací směru. Numerické simulace ukazují, že takový systém spontánně vytváří stabilní skupiny s charakteristickou velikostí určenou interakčním poloměrem. Získané výsledky demonstrují, že koheze skupiny může být dosažena i bez použití periodických okrajových podmínek a s z biologického hlediska rozmumnými konečně-dosahovými interakcemi. This study aims to examine the implementation of simulation techniques in group guidance services to enhance students' self-confidence. The research was conducted in class X.F of SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi using classroom action research through two cycles. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and a closed-ended confidence scale. Initial observations revealed several students lacked confidence, such as hesitating to speak in front of the class and avoiding group interactions. After the implementation of simulation-based group guidance, there was a notable increase in students’ self-confidence scores-rising from an average of 57.6% to 74.8% across the two cycles. The findings suggest that structured simulations allow students to experience real-life scenarios in a safe environment, enabling them to build confidence and overcome social anxiety. The study concludes that simulation techniques in group guidance are effective in improving self-confidence among high school students

This study deals with finding and describing the meaning and function of Indonesian prefix ter- in the investigation report. This study applied descriptive qualitative research to find out the data. The analysis was conducted by applying a theory proposed by Kridalaksana (2007) about prefix ter-. After investigating the data it was found that the prefix ter- can be used to form verb, adjective, and noun. The most frequent form found in the data is a verb. These words express different meaning, such as state of affair (stative) which does not involve any action, as found in the verb terletak (situated), accidental or uncontrolled action, such as the verb terkunci (locked), superlative adjective which provided superlative meaning on the adjective as found in adjective terakhir (the last) and also legal term such as tersangka (the suspect) which shows that prefix ter- can be used to form the actor who does the specific action which is related to the law

This research was conducted to provide an alternative for local governments to choose millennial tourists as a market share. Factors such as image, characteristics and motivation in traveling also support the development of this tourism. A suitable marketing strategy for millennial tourists is to use the services of influencers. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The primary data in this study were sourced from observations, interviews and literature studies, while the secondary data were from scientific journals and books that assisted in this research. The approach used in this research is the sociology of tourism approach. The data collected is then reduced, selected data that can support it, followed by carrying out the analysis and the last step is drawing conclusions. Keywords: Tourists, Millennials, Potential, Touris

This study was conducted based on classroom phenomena reported by several teachers and supported by data from the supervising teacher, indicating that students struggle with effective communication. Social isolation, which causes students to feel lonely, and negative judgments about individuals or groups based on false assumptions can hinder positive interactions. In response to this issue, the researcher implemented Group Guidance services to improve social relationships among peers in Class X.F at SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi in 2025. This service was provided to 30 students in Class X.F using PTBK data analysis techniques and a quantitative research method. The study concluded that the implementation of Group Guidance effectively enhances social relationships among peers in Class X.F at SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi in 2025. The group dynamics in the guidance sessions help students develop motivation, which influences peer interactions and fosters positive relationships among them
