No full textThesis is based on the views of authors of sociology of knowledge (Berger, Luckman, Bourdieu) and authors of discourse analysis (Foucault, Fairclough). The central assumption is that knowledge is socially constructed and that this construction has its strong ideological and hierarchic aspects. Author is analyzing books and texts of Vaclav Klaus using the critical discourse analysis. Author is convinced that Vaclav Klaus has a substantive influence on public opinion in Czech Republic. Also author is convinced the struggle in the discussion over environmental topics is based in different basic assupmtions of discussion participant. Thus author decided to analyse the Vaclav Klaus's basic assumptions for the notions of nature and environment

No full textDans un contexte d’épuisement de combustibles fossiles et d’absence d’alternatives crédibles permettant de maintenir la consommation d’énergie par habitant, la corrélation désormais établie entre cette dernière et le PIB per capita semble bien rendre inévitable une décroissance générale. Compte tenu également des pénuries annoncées pour d’autres ressources (minerais, terres arables) ainsi que des désordres (pollutions diverses) déjà accumulés, il est urgent de réfléchir à des scénarios d’une transition aussi peu douloureuse que possible vers une société post carbone.Une des pistes les plus réalistes — car ne dépendant pas d’innovations technologiques à la fois incertaines et s’accompagnant de divers effets rebond — est celle de la sobriété : une sobriété non pas subie, contrainte et forcée — risquant de générer famines, guerres et chaos —, mais librement consentie, organisée et planifiée.Grande consommatrice de ressources et génératrice de déchets, la ville — et ses transports — est, à cet égard, un terrain d’investigation particulièrement riche, notamment dans le domaine de l’exploration du potentiel de la « forme urbaine » pour ralentir son métabolisme en offrant aux habitants et aux entreprises la possibilité de diminuer leurs besoins en énergie sans que la qualité de vie ne s’en trouve nécessairement dégradée

Another part is defined Černý's personal library, general characteristics, its formation, the ways in which Černý harvested books, his work with books, literature review, and libraries that Černý visited during his life. The final part describes in detail the part of the library with existential literature, deals with the forerunners of existentialism and the Czech and foreign representatives of this philosophical direction
Vers une métrique de la connexion intermodale : un essai de quantification de la cohérence entre modes de transport complémentaires
No full textInternational audienceGiven that the combination of several transport modes may significantly increase the transport supply in terms of possible destinations, it is essential for technicians and local elected members to have proper tools to estimate the consequences of certain decisions relative to intermodal connection. As a first answer to this need, this article proposes a method which makes it possible to evaluate, on a given ground, the scale —or the non-existence— of « interconnectivity logics » brought into play by the transport operators. The method takes as a basis a global indicator of « intermodal connection quality » measuring the possibilities, for the passenger, of « little waiting time correspondences » between various transport modes. Since it allows to simulate the effects that schedules changes may have on the « intermodal connection quality », as well as the territorial distribution of these effects, this method can be used for testing several scenarios with the idea of selecting these ones optimizing this « intermodal connection quality ».L'association de plusieurs modes de transport étant susceptible d'augmenter significativement le choix de destinations possibles offert à l'usager, il est essentiel que techniciens et élus locaux disposent d'outils propres à estimer les conséquences de certaines décisions en matière de connexion intermodale. Cet article constitue une première réponse à ce besoin en proposant une méthode d'évaluation, sur un terrain donné, de l'ampleur —ou de l'inexistence— de « logiques de connexion intermodale » mises en jeu par les exploitants des réseaux. La méthode repose principalement sur la mise au point d'un indicateur global de « qualité de connexion intermodale » mesurant les possibilités, pour l'usager, de correspondances « peu pénibles » —en termes de temps d'attente— entre différents modes de transport. En permettant non seulement de simuler les effets d'aménagements d'horaires de ces modes, mais aussi de visualiser la répartition territoriale de ces effets, l'approche proposée peut servir, en particulier, à tester plusieurs scénarios pour retenir la ou les solutions optimisant cette « qualité de connexion intermodale », compte tenu de diverses contraintes spécifiques au terrain
Georgian translations of Vaclav Havel's texts
No full textThe translation is of special significance for the history of culture, since it implies not only overcoming of lingual borders, but it serves as the breakthrough in cultural, historic and social dams and the intellectual „conquest” of new geographical area. The principle of “intercultural” translation is based on a transfer of cultural tradition. Back in the old world, it was called “translatio”. European culture developed three major modifications of “translatio”: translation - 1) translatio religionis, that is translation of true religion; 2) translatio imperii - that is translation of ideal state management and 3) translatio studii – translation of science and true wisdom. Thus, the idea of translation is interpreted as a transfer of spiritual inheritance, translation of definite spiritual values.
In the history of the world, there are persons, whose life and activity stimulate others, whose strength and unwavering position inspires, and their ideas strengthen and fill others with the hope for the future. Vaclav Havel, Czech drama playwright, essayist, and a poet belongs to namely such group of people, who passed his life road from dissidence to the post of a president and whose ideas are especially urgent for present day society.
The author of the present report has been publishing translations of Vaclav Havel’s works of various genres – essays, plays, interviews from the Czech language from the 90s of the 20th century. In the present report, the author offers her observations on the specificity of her translation on Vaclav Havel’s texts. She makes emphasis on the peculiarities of Havel’s language, which in his works often bears a function of expression of a pressure of totalitarian regime on a man
