In 2011, Andrzej Stankiewicz, professor of process intensification (3mE Faculty), received a grant of 2.3 million euros from the European Research Council to conduct research into the improvement of chemical reactors ‘at molecular level’. Last September, Stankiewicz’s ‘Perfect Reactors Lab’ opened its doors. One type of microreactor (1) is already known: a glass plate through which molecules can flow through micro- or nano-channels. L'ESCLUSIONE DELLA DIGNITA' SACRAMENTALE NELLA GIURISPRUDENZA CORAM STANKIEWICZ

    No full text
The verdict coram Stankiewicz of 27th february 2004 is a full stop about exclusion of dignity sacrament’s of the marriage, not only because outlines with clarity the correct diagram of interpretation, but also because this result is the fruit of a meticolous and attentive work as much at the teaching of the Pope and the theological thought as at traditional and recent pertinent jurisprudence, of which are armonized the positions with the worries expressed by John Paul 2nd in the Speeches in the years 2001 and 2003, in which is very important the natural reality of the marriage, that is in itself sacrament, not be connected with the faith of the newlyweds. The judge by expert jurist faces the theme of the exclusion of dignity sacrament’s of the marriage, which can be in the matrimonial trial, both if the dignity sacrament’s of the marriage has exclused by a positiv absolute and prevailing act of the will, so to concern also matrimonium ipsum, and by simple act of the will

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    No full text
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Cellular ceramics are versatile, controllable and tailorable materials suited to varied applications. Advanced cellular ceramics must be properly engineered and integrated within the system to fulfil the requirements of a given application. Component design includes selecting the proper cell size, pore size, amount of porosity, material and fabrication technique to ensure optimal performance. The fabrication technique heavily influences the properties because it affects the morphology, the compositional purity and the flaw population of the ceramic material that comprises the cellular component. This chapter will review special applications of cellular ceramic

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
