No full textDuring the Age of Mass Migration, circa 250 thousand German-speakers
immigrated to Brazil. Even if numerically limited, these immigrants played a central
role in the consolidation of the Brazilian culture, society, and economy. The German-
speaking immigration to Brazil also influenced the country’s settlement policies in the
nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and had a feedback effect on global labor
markets during the first age of globalization. In this compilation for the Global Migration Studies, Flavia da Silva Varolo discusses in an interview her research on German
settlements in the Riograndense Colony, a project for land selling to foreigners in the
western portion of the state of São Paulo. She debates the persistence of cultural
habits among descendants of immigrants and the negative effects of violently imposed assimilation, such as that perpetrated by the Brazilian State in the 1930s-1940s.
As a linguist and education historian, Ms. Varolo highlights the importance of interdisciplinarity for studying immigration history. In the sequence, Luiz Mateus da Silva
Ferreira revises Varolo’s book. His review puts the case study at hand into the general
framework of the Age of Mass Migration and presents economic aspects related to
education history. The review also points to the need of critically assessing the attempts of influence exercised by the NSDAP over regions that had received German-
speaking immigrants in Latin America since the nineteenth century

Stela se ne odlikuje nikakvim posebnostima, a čak joj ni natpis nije potpuno očuvan, no jedan detalj s natpisa otkriva zanimljivu činjenicu koja stvara čvrste temelje za zaključak da je legio IIII Flavia Felix zapravo rekonstituirana legio IIII Macedonica, koja nakon osnivanja zauzima ispražnjeni garnizon na rijeci Krki. Nadalje se raspravlja o dosadašnjim spoznajama o osnutku legije IIII Flavia Felix te njezinu boravku u Dalmaciji, s pregledom do sada poznatih natpisa njezinih pripadnika s dalmatinskog tla.The author discusses the fragment of a single-section funerary stele kept in the Lapidarium of the Archaeological Museum Zadar. Although it does not contain any special features – even its inscription is not fully preserved – a detail of the inscription reveals an interesting fact that can be seen as solid evidence that legio IIII Flavia Felix was actually a reconstituted legio IIII Macedonica that had occupied the vacated encampment on the River Krka. The known facts about the founding of IIII Flavia Felix Legion and its deployment in Dalmatia are also discussed. An overview of the inscriptions containing the legion’s members from Dalmatian soil is also provided

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem.Trata-se de um estudo histórico que teve como objetivo historicizar a emergência da Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem como órgão de direcionamento e consolidação profissional da enfermagem, desde o seu início até a década de setenta do século vinte. A Tese argumentada ao longo do estudo é de que a REBEn vem representando nacionalmente um marco para a compreensão da enfermagem enquanto profissão, uma vez que ela tem papel importante na trajetória histórica da enfermagem e se mostra lócus privilegiado de enunciação do discurso e direção ideológica produzidos pela ABEn. A investigação se pautou no referencial teórico e metodológico da nova história, especialmente, memória e história oral. O discurso foi construído a partir de diferentes fontes documentais, incluindo livros, artigos e editoriais da própria revista, livros atas e relatórios da Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem (ABEn) e do acervo Fontes da História da Enfermagem pertencente ao Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas em Enfermagem, especialmente das transcrições de entrevistas com enfermeiras ex-dirigentes da entidade. A revisão da literatura foi organizada a partir de alguns marcos da ABEn, selecionados por sua contribuição na construção de uma identidade para a enfermeira diplomada e por terem na REBEn um notável veículo de expressão. Estes marcos foram a Semana Brasileira de Enfermagem, as Estratégias Políticas para Educação em Enfermagem, o Centro de Estudo e Pesquisa em Enfermagem e o Congresso Brasileiro de Enfermagem. A análise se configurou em torno da REBEn como veículo de direcionamento e consolidação profissional da Enfermagem brasileira, articulada em duas categorias principais, geradas pela apreensão de particularidades próprias a dois momentos históricos: - o nascimento da REBEn e os primeiros anos de luta (1932-1954); - a REBEn em novo cenário e em novos projetos para a enfermagem (1955-1980). Esta análise considerou que as mensagens veiculadas pela revista e oriundas da ABEn não estavam descoladas do cenário ou das idéias que caracterizavam os atores da Enfermagem da época. Mostravam os modos de ser dessa enfermagem, além de orientarem a condução da mesma em todos os espaços sociais, profissionais e políticos. Oportunizavam, assim, condições e possibilidades a determinados modos de ser e fazer profissional, no mesmo movimento em que asseguravam a direção ideológica produzida pelas dirigentes da ABEn. Os editoriais, ao tratarem de temas em evidência no contexto sócio-político, de forma clara ou velada, manifestavam as estratégias da entidade, seus sucessos e percalços no papel de domínio e enunciação de um discurso sobre a enfermagem, seus compromissos, práticas e a produção do conhecimento neste campo. A REBEn constituiu-se assim no instrumento político, que as diretorias da ABEn deram vida, fizeram funcionar, enquanto instituição, para estabelecer a interlocução com seus sócios e, entre a categoria de enfermagem. This is a historical study whose objective was to historize the emergence of the Brazilian Nursing Journal (Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem - REBEn) as guiding organ and source of professional consolidation in nursing, since its inception until the 1970s. This Dissertation argues throughout the study that the REBEn has nationally represented a mark for the comprehension of nursing as a profession, given that it has the important role within the historical trajectory of nursing and has shown itself to be the privileged speaker in articulating the discourse and ideological direction produced by the ABEn. This investigation was based upon the theoretical and methodological reference of new history, especially memory and oral history. The discourse was constructed upon different documentary sources, including books, articles, editorials from the journal itself, acts, and reports from the Brazilian Nursing Association (Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem - ABEn) and from the #Fontes da História da Enfermagem# archives, belonging to the Center for Nursing Studies and Research, especially transcriptions of interviews with nurses who were ex-directors of the entity. The literature review was organized upon some marks from the ABEn, selected for their contributions in the construction of an identity for the graduated nurse and for having in the REBEn a notable vehicle for expression. These marks were the Brazilian Nursing Week, the Political Strategies for Nursing Education, the Center for Nursing Studies and Research, and the Brazilian Nursing Conference. The analysis carried out was configured around the REBEn as a guiding organ and source of professional consolidation of Brazilian Nursing, articulated in two principle categories, generated through the apprehension of its own particularities in two historical moments: the birth of the REBEn and the first years of struggle (1932-1954); the REBEn in a new scenario and in new projects for nursing (1955-1980). This analysis considered that the messages associated with the journal and deriving from the ABEn were not unconnected from the scenario or the ideas that characterize the actors in Nursing at those times. They show the manners of being of such a nursing, beyond orienting the conduction of the same in all social, professional, and political environments. Thus, they took the opportunity of the conditions and possibilities of determined modes of professionally being and acting, in the same movement in which they held to the ideological direction produced by the ABEn. The editorials, upon dealing clearly or guardedly with themes in socio-political evidence, manifested the identity strategies, its successes and profits in the role of domination and enunciation of a discourse in nursing, its commitments, practices, and production of knowledge in this field. Linfoma epiteliotrópico multicêntrico em cadela rottweiler: abordagem imaginológica
Get PDFThe Supervised Academic Internship in Imaging Diagnosis of CVU – University Veterinary Clinic of Federal University of Tocantins (EMVZ), in Araguaína, was performed under the guidance of the Professor (Ph.D) Priscilla Macedo de Souza, and supervised by Dr. Flavia Augusta de Oliveira. The Internship took place from May 5th to June 9th, 2021, totaling 295 working hours. The purpose of the report was to collect and describe the physical and organizational structure of CVU, the participation in daily activities and the casuistry of the clinic’s Imaging Diagnosis Sector. A total of 147 procedures were performed during the Internship: 81 ultrasonography, 60 X-rays, 2 ultrasound guided cystocentesis, 2 ultrasound guided anesthesic blockages and 4 echocardiograms. Of the total number of patients, 91 were canine species, 42 feline species, 1 bovine species and 1 equine species. This report presented the ultrasonographic and radiological approaches in a Multicentric Epitheliotropic Lymphoma case of an 8-year-old Rottweiler dog, which gained prominence in the clinic routine, and highlighted the importance of imaging in the definitive diagnosis of this pathology.O Estágio Curricular Supervisionado foi na área de Diagnóstico por Imagem da CVU – Clínica Veterinária Universitária, da Universidade Federal do Tocantins, EMVZ, em Araguaína, sob orientação da Professora Doutora Priscilla Macedo de Souza e supervisionado pela Doutora Flávia Augusta de Oliveira. O estágio ocorreu no período de 05 de maio a 09 de junho de 2021, totalizando uma carga horária de 295 horas. O objetivo do relatório aqui desenvolvido, foi reunir e relatar as estruturas física e organizacional da CVU, além de acompanhar as atividades desenvolvidas na rotina e as casuísticas do Setor de Diagnóstico por Imagem. Os procedimentos durante o período do estágio totalizaram 147 casos, sendo 81 de ultrassonografia, 60 raios X, 2 de cistocentese guiada por ultrassom, 2 de bloqueio anestésico guiado por ultrassom e 4 ecocardiogramas. Destes, 91 foram da espécie canina, 42 da espécie felina, 1 da espécie bovina e 1 da espécie equina. Este relatório apresentou o relato da abordagem ultrassonográfica e radiológica em um caso de Linfoma Epiteliotrópico Multicêntrico em uma cadela da raça Rottweiler de 8 anos de idade que ganhou destaque na rotina da clínica e demonstrou a importância da imagenologia no diagnóstico definitivo dessa patologia
Il Boccaccio di Baldassar Castiglione: la duplice immagine del Certaldese nelle pagine del "Cortegiano"
Get PDFGiovanni Boccaccio is quoted several times in Castiglione’s "Cortegiano", but all these mentions are inserted in two specific contexts: on the one hand, the debate on literary language, developed in the letter of dedication to don Michel De Silva and in the first book; on the other hand, the definition of the joke in book II. Starting from these premises, this essay analyses the meanings of Boccaccio’s presence in the "Cortegiano". It shows that Castiglione’s treatise provides two different and concurrent representations of the author of the "Decameron": a positive one, connected to the ‘questione della lingua’, that offers Boccaccio as a promoter of the usage (‘uso’); a critical one, deriving from the theory of the ‘facezia’, that makes Boccaccio a challenging and challenged model
