Dentro de pareceres e relatórios técnicos que se explicitaram essas duas posições alternativas típicas: o neoliberalismo de Gudin e o dirigismo de Simonsen. As duas posições marcaram a cena nacional até 1956, sendo os economistas Eugênio Gudin Filho e Roberto Cochrane Simonsen os principais nomes da controvérsia. O trabalho visou estudar as idéias defendidas por ambas as correntes, para assim, compreender de que modo e como se desenvolveu o pensamento econômico brasileiro no contexto da época

Inverse statistics in the foreign exchange markets
No full textWe investigate intra-day foreign exchange (FX) time series using the inverse statistic analysis developed by Simonsen et al. (Eur. Phys. J. 27 (2002) 583) and Jensen et al. (Physica A 324 (2003) 338). Specifically, we study the time-averaged distributions of waiting times needed to obtain a certain increase (decrease) ρ in the price of an investment. The analysis is performed for the Deutsch Mark (DM) against the US. With high statistical significance, the presence of "resonance peaks" in the waiting time distributions is established. Such peaks are a consequence of the trading habits of the market participants as they are not present in the corresponding tick (business) waiting time distributions. Furthermore, a new stylized fact, is observed for the (normalized) waiting time distribution in the form of a power law Pdf. This result is achieved by rescaling of the physical waiting time by the corresponding tick time thereby partially removing scale-dependent features of the market activity
The Rise and Fall of Danish Encyclopedias, 1891-2017
No full textStories of successful works have often dominated the history of Scandinavian encyclopedias. This is understandable given the rich encyclopedia tradition that characterizes the Scandinavian book market. Among the publications within this tradition, one encyclopedia stands out in particular. By being in print for more than sixty years, Salmonsens Konversationsleksikon had a special impact on the development of the genre in both Denmark and Norway. From 1891 to the second half of the 1950s, the influential family company J.H. Schultz published various editions of the encyclopedia. For years, it was considered one of the most important knowledge forums for the well-educated in the Scandinavian countries. Scattered among histories of great publications, we also find another and often overlooked storyline, namely the history of the unsuccessful or the incomplete—the stranded encyclopedia. In this chapter, Maria Simonsen explores a number of stranded Danish encyclopedias—printed as well as digital—and thereby gives new insights into the long history of the Danish encyclopedia tradition. Throughout her study, Simonsen argues that regardless of time and space, and no matter what media you publish in—print or digital—there are some obstacles and challenges for the encyclopedic genre that are universal.<br/

Most easily distinguished from Whetwhetaksa by: 1, pterostigma length ca. 7 times width [ca. 10 times]; 2, dark fascia mid-wing, basal wing hyaline [colouration extends to wing base where known]; 3, origin of IR2 closer to nodus than to origin of R3-4 [closer to origin of R3-4], at least three crossveins between them [one]; 4, MP, CuA more widely separated distally [maximum ca. 10 cells at margin], not subparallel [maximum two cells, subparallel]. Type and included species. Type species, Danowhetaksa birgitteae n. sp. here designated; other included species, Danowhetaksa rusti n. sp. Etymology. The genus name is formed from the prefix ‘Dano-’ referring to Denmark, and the suffix ‘-whetaksa’ referring to the Whetwhetaksidae.
