    The term of jihad in recent years has become an interesting topic of conversation, especially after the term was used by radical groups to carry out acts of terror in the name of religion, and by using arguments from sacred texts, one of which is hadith. This paper aims to examine one of the hadiths which has an extreme meaning, "الجنة تحت ظلال السيوف", using the hermeneutic analysis knife offered by Hassan Hanafi. Historically, this hadith was used by the companions to encourage the mujahid during the war. However, if it is related to the present, interpreting the hadith as war is certainly not in accordance with the geographical conditions and the current time, especially if it is related to the Indonesian context. The war in the time of the Prophet was a sociological necessity that was carried out to defend against the attacks of the unbelievers. Meanwhile, in this era, the Indonesian people live on the principle of religious moderation, so that jihad which means war cannot be actualized. Thus Islam as rahmatan lil 'alamin will be realized. In this context, the hadith can be interpreted as all the efforts of a Muslim to be able to gain the pleasure of Allah

    Man is God's most perfect being and God commands that man use his intellect to think about what is in the universe. Then in relation to education in Indonesia, there needs to be a model model used by educators in the learning process, One of which is to apply problem based learning that is problem-based learning. The purpose of this research is to find out 1) how the learning activities of grade XI High School 1 JOMBANG 2)the results of learning class XI High School 1 JOMBANG 3)activities and results of learning pai students grade XI High School 1 JOMBANG through the learning model problem based learning. Problem based learning is a method of learning by confronting students on real-world problems. PBL is a progressive active learning and unstructured problem-centered learning approach that is used as a starting point in the learning process. In this study, researchers used three methods in carrying out the study, namely by observation methods, interviews and documentation. From the results of research that has been done has been found a number of data both from teachers and students about pai learning in grade XI at High School 1 JOMBANG which basically responds well and states that this problem-based learning is very helpful for students in class is evidenced by the creativity and response of students during the learning process and can improve learning outcomes in the form of assignment value in islamic religious education subjects than before the implementation of m odel learning problem based learning

    Peningkatan Kemandirian Santri Melalui Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kiai

    This article seeks to explain how the transformational leadership of the kiai at the Al Ikhlas Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang Islamic boarding school can increase the independence of the students. In addition, this study also aims to identify the factors that support and hinder the increase in the independence of the students through the transformational leadership of the kiai in the Islamic boarding school. This research uses a case study approach and qualitative research methods. The research location was carried out at the Al Ikhlas Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic boarding school, Jombang. Data collection techniques include participant observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data is tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and data verification, as well as testing the validity of the data through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study show that the Kiai at the Islamic Boarding School has made efforts to increase the independence of the students through transformational leadership that implements leadership functions such as ideal influence, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and inspiring motivation. Supporting factors for increasing the independence of students include a conducive environment, character education, skills education, participation of students in Islamic boarding schools activities, and family support. While the inhibiting factors include the lack of motivation and interest in learning from students, the lack of support and guidance from the family, and the lack of understanding of how to learn independently.Artikel ini berupaya untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kepemimpinan transformasional kiai di pondok pesantren Al Ikhlas Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang dapat meningkatkan kemandirian santri. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat peningkatan kemandirian santri melalui kepemimpinan transformasional kiai di pondok pesantren tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dan metode penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di pondok pesantren Al Ikhlas Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Keabsahan data diuji melalui kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data, serta pengujian keabsahan data melalui kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kiai di Pondok Pesantren tersebut telah melakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemandirian santri melalui kepemimpinan transformasional yang mengimplementasikan fungsi kepemimpinan seperti pengaruh yang ideal, stimulasi intelektual, pertimbangan individual, dan motivasi yang menginspirasi. Faktor pendukung peningkatan kemandirian santri termasuk lingkungan yang kondusif, pendidikan karakter, pendidikan keterampilan, partisipasi santri dalam kegiatan pesantren, dan dukungan keluarga. Sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kurangnya motivasi dan minat belajar dari peserta didik, kurangnya dukungan dan bimbingan dari keluarga, dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang cara belajar mandiri

    This research is about Islamic Education in the Sultanate of Sambas in the early twentieth century (Study on Development of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah in 1916-1936 AD). Islamic education in the Sultanate of Sambas in the early twentieth century was the beginning of a school called Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah. This ancient school was a school that was established only for the relatives of the sultan and the children of the ulama, while the children of the common people were not allowed to experience education. In addition, the author also examines the development of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah which was founded in 1916, and examines the background of the change of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah to Tarbiyatul Islam in 1936. Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah has a significant role in the Sultanate of Sambas at that time, because this madrasah is able to produce future generations who continue the development of Islamic teachings, namely by establishing a madrasah called Madrasah Asasun Najah. The Asasun Najah Madrasah was founded by Murad Kasim, a graduate of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah. In addition, the graduates of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah are also assisting teachers at the madrasa. The development at Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah became rapid because of the presence of Sambas youths who had studied in Egypt and Mecca, including Muhammad B Radioi Imran, Ahmad Fawzi and Abdurrahman Hamid as well as reforms at Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah regarding the curriculum and the influence of the Middle East. Furthermore, the change of Madrasah al-Sulthaniyah into Tarbiyatul Islam was caused by the existence of colonial schools using Dutch so that students were interested in learning it

    The online learning system in the COVID-19 pandemic has the weakness of limited ability to realize equitable distribution of learning facilities in Indonesia. Therefore, community service activities in the form of introducing the Quizizz learning media were carried out with SDN 1 Sentul teachers and local religious content teachers in Tembelang District. This community service activity is carried out from October to November 2021 which is located at SDN 1 Sentul, Sentul Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency. The stages in this activity are observation; material design; and the introduction of Quizizz learning media. The results of the activities showed that (1) Quizizz learning media attracted students' interest in learning; (2) Quizizz learning media is a variation of learning media; (3) Quiziz learning media can make it easier for teachers to convey material and input values. The obstacle in this activity is the internet network which is less stable

    Program Pemberdayaan Ibu Lansia dalam Mengentaskan Buta Huruf Al-Qur'an di Desa Cupak melalui Kegiatan Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an

    Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan ibu lansia di Desa Cupak melalui upaya pemberantasan buta huruf Al-Qur'an dengan kegiatan Baca Tulis Qur'an (BTQ). Program dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 dan 22 Agustus 2024, dengan melibatkan 25 peserta lansia. Sebelum pelatihan dimulai, dilakukan pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal peserta dalam membaca Al-Qur'an, termasuk huruf hijaiyah, tanda baca (mad, waqaf, qolqolah), dan tajwid (izhar, ikhfa, idgham, iklab). Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pemahaman peserta hanya mencapai 66%, yang mencerminkan rendahnya literasi Al-Qur'an di kalangan ibu lansia. Setelah pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan metode partisipatif dan berbasis komunitas, hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan rata-rata pemahaman mencapai 85%, memperlihatkan peningkatan sebesar 19%. Pendekatan partisipatif yang digunakan berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, dengan peserta aktif berlatih dan saling mendukung dalam kelompok kecil. Selain peningkatan kemampuan teknis dalam membaca Al-Qur'an, program ini juga berdampak positif pada aspek sosial dan spiritual. Ibu-ibu lansia menjadi lebih percaya diri dan lebih terlibat dalam kegiatan keagamaan seperti pengajian dan tahlilan setelah pelatihan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendidikan berbasis komunitas yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dan memberdayakan masyarakat secara spiritual.     TPQ merupakan salah satu Lembaga non formal yang menjadi pusat pembelajaran Al Qur’an terutama pada anak usia dini. Penguasaan ilmu tajwid menjadi salah satu kunci utama dalam belajar Al Qur’an. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman santri TPQ An – Nuur terhadap ilmu tajwid melalui penerapan tajwid book dengan media pop up gambar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Bulan November 2021. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para ustadzah dan santri TPQ An – Nuur Desa Sentul Kecamatan Tembelang Kabupaten Jombang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan metode service learning (layanan pembelajaran) yaitu dengan menggunakan pop up book. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terdiri atas beberapa tahapan antara lain observasi pada mitra, perancangan produk, dan implementasi produk pada mitra. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan kegiatan penerapan tajwid book dengan media pop up gambar memberikan dampak bagi mitra, antara lain: meningkatkan semangat santri TPQ An – Nuur dalam memahami makhorujul huruf; meningkatkan keingintahuan santri mengenai ilmu tajwid; serta mendorong kreativitas ustadzah TPQ An - Nuur dalam menerangkan ilmu tajwid kepada para santri

    Daterejo Village is a village in Mojoagung District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. has hamlets namely, Kalibening, Mojoranu, Semen, Jonggrong, Sonokerep and Daterejo. The Daterejo State Elementary School Education Service is one of the educational institutions that was founded in 1963. In Kalibening Hamlet there is a BABUSSALAM Islamic Boarding School and MI, MTs, MA, STAI schools. The Diniyyah Miftahussalam Madrasah students in Daterejo Village have many religious fields but are still lacking in depth. His religious studies, especially in the field of Fiqh. Therefore, we had the idea to hold Fiqh Learning Training and Mentoring for Santri Madrasah Diniyyah Miftahussalam in Daterejo Village, Mojoagung District. By using the practical Fiqh book learning module chapter thaharah (purification) and prayer. Method The approach taken for community service in Daterejo village is by using the SL (Service Learning) method. One of them is by applying coercion methods, educational games, training and local community approaches so that indirectly, students in Daterejo village can grasp the material well. Based on the results of community service activities on the PPM theme, the following can be concluded: (a) Santri Madrasah Diniyah TPQ Miftahussalam have become more understanding and can also carry out Fiqh practice regarding the chapter on purification and prayer properly and correctly. (b) Fiqh learning at TPQ Madrasah Diniyah Miftahussalam now has a guidebook regarding how to practice Fiqh related to the chapter on purification and prayer. (c) Teachers and Students of Madrasah Diniyah TPQ Miftahussalam Become increasingly motivated in getting to know the chapter on purification and prayer
