The ubiquity of Web2.0 with the proliferation of blogs and social networks transformed the way people express their opinions about different entities, such as products and services. Online reviews have become a powerful source of information for customers and business that gauge customers’ purchase intentions and enterprise strategies. The amount of user generated content has grown at a fast pace that forces users to gravitate through a number of online reviews in order to get decision oriented information, which is time consuming and tedious job. Consequently, a new line of research ‘opinion mining’ has emerged. Opinion mining techniques can help to alleviate the problem of information overload in online reviews by analyzing, summarizing and presenting peoples’ opinions. Online reviews vary greatly in quality and it has become imperative to identify high quality reviews to enhance the decision making process. However, most of existing opinion mining techniques ignore the quality of reviews. Although some review quality evaluation approaches are discussed in the literature, however, the focus is not on users’ preferences. Feature-based opining mining is required to provide a detailed feature-based summary in order to satisfy users’ need. Different methods have been proposed in the literature which evaluate and rank product features. However, existing feature ranking methods utilized the overall user rating and semantic polarity to rank product features, and overlook opinion strength. In addition, the visualization of the opinion summary is orthogonal to review quality evaluation and feature ranking. Most of existing opinion visualizations present overall positive and negative semantic on each feature and are unable to reflect opinion-strength based summary. The objectives of this research work are to integrate high quality reviews and opinion strength in feature ranking and to present opinion-strength based summarization using a visualization technique. Existing factors for review ranking have been investigated and significant factors were assimilated in the proposed methods according to the users’ preferences. Similarly, current elements for feature ranking have been examined and were amalgamated with opinion strength in the proposed method. Seminars and an online web based questionnaire survey was conducted to get the users’ inclinations about opinion visualization to propose an opinion-strength based visualization. A feature based opinion mining system was developed based on proposed methods and experimental results on real life data sets show that integration of review and feature ranking with strength-based feature level summary can improve the decision making process

This exegesis examines how a writer can effectively negotiate the relationship between author, character, fact and truth, in a work of Creative Nonfiction. It was found that individual truths, in a work of Creative Nonfiction, are not necessarily universal truths due to individual, cultural, historical and religious circumstances. What was also identified, through the examination of published Creative Nonfiction, is a necessity to ensure there are clear demarcation lines between authorial truth and fiction. The Creative Nonfiction works examined, which established this framework for the reader, ensured an ethical relationship between author and audience. These strategies and frameworks were then applied to my own Creative Nonfiction

Increasing soil salinity is an emerging global issue, generating land degradation, affecting agricultural production and further affecting quality of ground water. In arid environment with water scarcity, saline ground water has been regularly used for irrigation purpose in date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) plantation, without knowing its impact on their root-associated bacterial communities. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of saline water irrigation on date palm root-associated bacterial community compositional structure and their diversity. Plant root samples were collected from date palm farms located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, irrigated with either saline, or non-saline water. Overall, we observed that bacterial richness was influenced by the soil pH, EC, and organic matter. Source of irrigation water did not significantly affect the bacterial richness, but affected community structure and patterns, driven by soil EC and irrigation water pH. Out of the total, 40.5% bacterial OTUs were uniquely observed in samples where irrigation source was non-saline water, whereas 26% were unique to sites with saline water as an irrigation source. Bacterial phyla Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Acetobacter and Chloroflexi dominated both types of samples with similar abundance. However, phylum Chloroflexi was highly abundant in the non-saline samples than in the saline irrigated samples. In contrast, phylum Firmicutes showed relatively higher abundance in saline than in non-saline samples. Rhizobium, one of the most significant micro-symbiotic genera was abundant at the non-saline site but significantly low in saline site. This study indicates a possible role of the identified microbial communities in the adaptation of the date palm to salinity stress. The current findings from the date palm saline and non-saline soil microbiomes expands the inventory of soil bacteria for saline environments that can help in the discovery of potential inoculants for crops growing on salt-affected land. A detailed investigation is necessary in this area, and the use of PGPR and other symbiotic microorganisms may lead to a new method of developing sustainable agriculture in saline soils

Khaka is the translation of English word sketch which means to draw personality. But if we examine the meaning of this term, it means to present the external and internal characteristics of the personality impartially. The tradition of Urdu sketching in Multan can be traced back to the early period of Eulogise. In which the emphasis was on the praise and admiration of the personality rather than the actual qualities, but the modern outline seems devoid of the above influences. The names of Prof. Shamim Haider Tirmizi, Dr. Anwar Ahmed, Munshi Abdul Rahman, Asi Karnali, Dr. Maqsood Zahidi, Raziuddin Razi and Sajjad Jahanian are prominent among the modern sketch writers of Multan

Islamic boarding schools are considered as backward and less participatory traditional institutions, but have great potential in terms of mobilizing local resources, potential sources of labor, and sources of political support. With the development of increasingly advanced times, Islamic boarding schools need to modernize holistically institutionally, curriculum and learning methods. For this reason, the author tries to reveal the modernization of Islamic education according to Azyumardi Azra at the Al-Aqobah Islamic boarding school, Jombang. The results of this study found that the institutional modernization of the Islamic education system at the al-Aqobah Islamic boarding school still adheres to the classic pesantren tradition while at the same time innovating with modernity. Thus making the Al-Aqobah Islamic boarding school transform into a hybrid, namely combining salaf (traditional) and khalaf (modern). Modernization of the curriculum at the Al-Aqobah Islamic boarding school has at least fulfilled religious education (tafaqquh fi al-din), madrasah, formal schools, and skills education. Meanwhile, the modernization of learning methods has also used a variety of up-to-date technological devices to support learning objectives and the use of contemporary teaching materials and learning media.
