No full textThe collection contains few personal, official or vital documents, but is exceptionally rich in correspondence, manuscripts, diaries, appointment books, and scrapbooks documenting Julius Bab's cultural work and endeavors. The bulk of the collection consists of the scrapbooks, which contain extensive clippings of articles by and about Bab. Of the other series, the correspondence is of particular note both for its extent and for the impressive array of original letters by notable cultural figures. There are the over 100 letters from the literary critic and martyred revolutionary Gustav Landauer, and nearly as many from the playwright Richard Dehmel; the files also contain a considerable amount of correspondence with Nobel Prize winning playwright Gerhart Hauptmann, with the philosopher Fritz Mauthner, and with the influential editor and writer Moritz Heimann. The correspondence files contain letters from over 90 additional cultural figures, chiefly writers and persons involved with the theater. Among the more prominent of these figures are Walther Rathenau, Thomas Mann, Richard Beer-Hoffmann, George Bernard Shaw, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Max Liebermann, and Stefan Zweig.Rounding out the collection are series containing diaries, theater and lecture programs, and clippings. The diaries series contains two diaries from before 1900, and thereafter several notebooks and appointment books which Bab used as calendars. Although these volumes are primarily functional, occasional longer entries or passages throughout the various volumes have a more diaristic character. The theater and lecture programs series contains programs, clippings, and promotional materials, such as handbills and small posters, for theatrical events and lectures that Bab participated in. A few items of the promotional materials are interesting examples of Jugenstil and Weimar era graphic design. The final small series of newspaper clippings of articles by and about Bab mirrors the overall structure and content of the Scrapbooks series, although it consists entirely of loose, rather than bound clippings.The memoirs of Bab's wife, Elizabeth, 'Aus Zwei Jahrhunderten' are catalogued separately in the memoir collection (ME 21).Photographs have been removed to Photograph CollectionBorn in Berlin on December 11, 1880, Bab was a theater critic, author and co-founder of the Jüdischer Kulturbund in 1933. No full textKajian ini adalah mengenai sikap pengurusan di kalangan pengurus tempatan di sekitar Kuala Lumpur dan Shah Alam. Kajian ini juga cuba melihat sikap pengurusan tempatan dalam konteks teori-teori pengurusan Barat . Golongan pengurus memainkan peranan yang penting dalam peranvangan dan pejalanan sesebuah organisasi. Sikap pengurusan menentukan corak pengurusan yang dipraktiskan. Maka, kajian mengenai sikap pengurusan adalah penting kerana ia akan memberi kesan terhadap golongan pekerja. Bab I menerangkan tentang tujuan kajian, metodologi kajian serta masalah- masalah yang dihadapi semasa kajian dijalankan . Bab II memberikan satu gambaran kasar mengenai syarikat-syarikat yang terlibat dalam kajian ini. Data-data syarikat yang telah ditinjau adalah seperti struktur syarikat, barang keluaran, industri keluaran, jualan, jumlah milik aset, bilangan pekerja
dan metod pengeluaran. Bab III memberi satu gambaran menfenai profail pengurus yang terlibat dalam kajian ini. Profail pengurus ditinjau dari segi-segi seperti pangkat, jantina, umur, pendidikan, latihan , pengalaman kerja dan cara- cara memperluaskan pengetahuan. Bab IV memberi satu gambaran mengenai perkembangan teori-teori pengurusan seperti Teori Pengurusan Klasik, Teori Pengurusan Perlakuan dan Teori Pengurusan Moden. Bab V membincangkan mengenai gaya pengurusan yang meliputi perkara- perkara seperti andaian- andaian seorang pengurus terhadap pekerja, peranan pengurusan, motivasi , kesedaran pekerja terhadap objektif syarikat, proses membuat keputusan dan kepimpinan. No full textKajian ini adalah analisis mengenai nilai teras integriti yang terdapat dalam hadith Nabi s.a.w. merujuk kepada al-Sahihayn iaitu hadith di dalam Sahih Imam al-Bukhari dan Imam Muslim. Kefahaman terhadap nilai teras yang menjadi dasar kepada integriti itu dibincangkan dalam bab satu disertasi ini. Nilai amanah dijadikan sebagai nilai teras integriti berdasarkan sifatnya yang dominan dan merentasi nilai-nilai agama lain. Pemilihan nilai amanah ini bukan semata-mata berdasarkan sifatnya yang universal itu bahkan nilai kesucian “Qudusnya” itu digali dari matan hadith Nabi s.a.w. menambahkan lagi mutu integriti itu bukan setakat amalan duniawi sahaja bahkan berpanjangan hingga ke ukhrawi ini diterangkan di dalam bab dua. Seterusnya kajian ini mengupas kefahaman dan amalan kakitangan pentadbiran Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam terhadap integriti dan nilai amanah sebagai nilai teras integriti yang didasari oleh sifat-sifat mahmudah dan mazmumah. Kajian ini menggunakan metod analisis deskriptif untuk menghurai frekuensi dan kebolehpercayaan kajian (cronbachs alpha) terhadap item-item yang dikemukakan. Hasil kajian dalam bab empat menunjukkan bahawa tahap kefahaman kakitangan pentadbiran UiTM Shah Alam terhadap integriti adalah tinggi dan tahap memahami integriti yang dirujuk kepada pembentukan nilai amanah sebagai nilai teras berdasarkan Hadith Nabi juga adalah memuaskan. Kajian ini juga turut dapat membuktikan persetujuan responden terhadap amalan kerja berintegriti dianggap sebagai satu ibadah
English Language Style in Technology Entertaiment Design Conference by Shah Rukh Khan
No full textThis thesis entitled “English Language Style In Technology Entertaiment Design by Shah Rukh Khan ” is a study of style and factors in Shah Rukh Khan speech. This research apllied language style proposed by Martin joos. This study aimed to find out the type of the language style used in Shah Rukh Khan speech in TED conference. It used descriptive qualitative method by taking the conclusion chapter of the thesis as source of data. Based on the analysis, it is found that there are there types of language style occur in Shah Rukhg Khan speech in TED conference. They are formal style, casual style, and consultative style. There are some factors that influence the choice of language style, they are participant,setting,topic,and function. It can be concluded that he dominatelty used formal style because of the situation, the topic, and the hearers.Tesis ini berjudul "Gaya Bahasa Inggris Dalam Desain Teknologi Entertaiment oleh Shah Rukh Khan" adalah studi tentang gaya dan faktor dalam pidato Shah Rukh Khan. Penelitian ini menerapkan gaya bahasa yang diusulkan oleh Martin joos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam pidato Shah Rukh Khan dalam konferensi TED. Ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil bab kesimpulan dari tesis sebagai sumber data. Berdasarkan analisis, ditemukan bahwa ada jenis gaya bahasa yang terjadi dalam pidato Shah Rukhg Khan di konferensi TED. Mereka adalah gaya formal, gaya kasual, dan gaya konsultatif. Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi pilihan gaya bahasa, mereka adalah peserta, pengaturan, topik, dan fungsi. The vibration-rotation Hamiltonian is presented in a formalism which separates the large-amplitude antisymmetrical stretching coordinate from the vibrational part of the problem. Numerical integration of the corresponding wave equation gives eigenfunctions used to calculate the rotational constants for various values of the height of the potential barrier
Living in Bab Tuma: Two Texts in Damascene Arabic
No full textDamascene Arabic belongs to the group of Syro-Palestinian dialects. The following presents two texts in this dialect that were recorded in 2008 in Damascus, and found a few years later among other recordings from Syria from that period. The author of the stories is Maysāʔ Šanāʕa, a Maronite Christian living in the district Bab Tuma in the Syrian capital. The texts presented here are unrelated to each other. The first of them tells of Palm Sunday, as well as Easter holidays in Damascus, while the second is a fairly loose story about spending time with her sick friend
