Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Get PDFPemenuhan kebutuhan menggunakan media sosial dewasa ini sangat meningkat karena menawarkan berbagai kebutuhan konsumen dengan mudah salah satunya pada produk kecantikan yaitu produk Mahkota Sukses Indonesia (MSI) di Kabupaten Lumajang. Fenomena tersebut mengarahkan peneliti untuk memberikan bukti empiris yang berkaitan dengan harga, testimonial dan word of mouth terhadap ketertarikan konsumen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini didapatkan dari konsumen produk MSI di Kabupaten Lumajang. Dalam penentuan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling yakni purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 152 responden. Data yang digunakan adalah data internal dan eksternal yg diperoleh dari profil perusahaan dan data dari KPO Lumajang yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil pengujian pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga mampu memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap ketertarikan konsumen. Kemudian testimonial tidak memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap ketertarikan konsumen dan word of mouthjuga terbukti berdampak signifikan terhadap ketertarikan konsumen

can be an object of research within. One of them is communication network which
being form within those group.
Network is one way to understand the human behaviour. Communication
network analysis is a research methode to identify the structure of communication in
the system, where the linkage of the communication data is analyzed by using types
of relationship as unit analysis.
In this research, Gondhez‟s group is being choosen as the research object
with some respondent as sample by snowball sampling. Snowball sampling is technic
to take the sample where the group or the first people are involve in the topic. Those
group or people will continue to others. It is called snowball because it is like snow
ball which fall down and become bigger. And so to the respondent.
The first respondent is choosen based to the someone who really
understand about GDZ and the governor‟s election. First respondent is found by the
information from the leader of GDZ. And the next respondent is found from the
respondent before. The taking of the respondent is being stopped if it is representative
enough, at least it formed a link. In this research the choosen respondent are eleven
people. The link can be seen from the eleven respondent.
This research is descriptive-kualitative. It is called descriptive because it is
explaning the data and called kuantitative because those explaning including
persentase. By using communication network analyzes to analyze, its purposed to
figure out about the pattern of communication network‟s participant of GDZ group in
Solo to succeed Bibit-Rustri in the election of the governor of Central Java 2008,
whose involved as opinion leader, liaison, isolate and bridges and also the degree of
openness within.
Finally, the conclusion can be known which is, the pattern of
communication network is run to one peson. Besides, the information flow in that
group is a common way in the informal way such as when they meet each other or by
phone. There are some individual role like star and opinion leader. Besides, the index of openness that also shows the degree of connectedness in the GDZ‟s group is
0,1429.
Hopes for the next research there will be research about adoption-
inovation. The yield of this research can be as reference for the next research about
the link of the degree of adoption-inovation in the communication network where the
individual characteristic is giving effect to the adoption-inovation

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengintegrasian pendidikan antikorupsi di SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. Penentuan informan penelitian dengan menggunakan snawball sampling terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru PKn, pembina ekstrakulikuler, pembina asrama dan siswa. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dari Miles dan Hiberman secara holistik dan berkelanjutan diawali dengan pengumpulan data, penyajian data, mereduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan adanya tiga temuan penelitian yaitu: Pertama, strategi pengintegrasian Pendidikan Antikorupsi melalui pembelajaran PKn merupakan bagian dari amanah kurikulum KTSP, dilaksanakan dengan mengembangkan silabus, indikator, tujuan, sekenario, sumber belajar, model, metode, strategi pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Kedua, strategi pengintegrasian Pendidikan Antikorupsi melalui pembiasaan dilakukan melalui: (a) pembiasaan pada budaya sekolah, (b) pembiasaan pada kegiatan ekstrakulikuler, (c) pembiasaan pada kegiatan di asrama. Ketiga, stratgei pengintegrasian pendidikan antikorupsi melalui keteladanan dilakukan oleh guru dengan menjadi role model dalam pembiasaan nilai-nilai pendidikan antikorupsi di sekolah, sehingga siswa secara langsung melihat contoh perilaku antikorupsi yang diberikan oleh guru

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
