Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Bawang merah ( Allium ascalonicum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran yang mempunyai arti penting bagi masyarakat, baik dilihat dari nilai ekonominya yang tinggi maupun kandungan gizinya. Dosis pemupukan bawang merah ditingkat petani cukup tinggi dan tanpa penggunaan pupuk organik. Penggunaan pupuk kimia dengan dosis yang tinggi secara tents menerus jika tidak diimbangi penggunaan pupuk organik akan merusak sifat fisik dan kimia tanah serta akan merusak kehidupan mikroorganisme tanah. Guna memperbaiki keadaan tersebut maka penggunaan pupuk organik sangat diperlukan untuk kelangsungan proses produksi. Salah satu usaha untuk menunjang peningkatan produksi bawang merah adalah melalui teknologi budidaya dengan pemberian pupuk organik cair.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik cair dengan konsentrasi berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi bawang merah dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi bawang merah yang tertinggi.
Penelitian ini 'dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2001 di Rumah kaca dan Laboratorium Struktur dan Fungsi Tumbuhan, Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA UNDIP. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan pemberian pupuk organik cair yaitu konsentrasi 0 rn111 (P0), 1 m1/1 (P1), 2 m1/1 (P2), 3 m1/1 (P3), 4m1/1 (P4) dan 5 m1/1 (P5) dengan 4 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji wilayah ganda Duncan pada taraf uji 5 % jika terdapat beda nyata,
Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah daun, jumlah umbi dan berat basah umbi. Jumialrdaun dan jumlah umbi tertinggi diperoleh dengan pemberian jiupuk organik cair pada konsentrasi 4 m1/1 dan berat basah umbi tertinggi diperoleh pada konsentrasi 5 m1/1. Sedangkan untuk parameter tinggi tanaman, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman, berat kering umbi serta diameter umbi memberikan basil yang berbeda tidak nyata

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

This study discusses the components of a basic verb meaning of the word have a relative sense of ‘visible’. The purpose of this analysis is to describe the meaning of the word verb which have a relation of meaning ‘visible’ and to mention the meaning component of each word. The type of this research is qualitative research with semantic and syntax approach. To analyze the meaning components, the researchers provide data through the method refer to the record. Sources of data used is a sentence that comes from online newspapers and examples of sentences in the Big Indonesian Dictionary. Data analysis in this research using the method of agih in the form of substitution technique and permutation technique.
The results of research on the basic meaning of meaningful verbs revealed six words, ie the word appears, arises, rises, comes out, is born, and appears. The differentiating components emerging from these six words can be seen from (1) the subject of the experiment; (2) how to do; and (3) the time frame. Of the three components of the differentiator, discovered the meaning of the sixth word relationships form interconnections and relationships opposite relations.

Specifically, this study tests whether the discount price, in-store display, sales people and impulse buying tendency is an important variable in the form of impulse buying. The Data obtained through the survey by doing the spread of the questionnaire to the respondents. The sample consists of 110 customers MDS in Hartono Lifestyle Mall that make impulse buying. PLS is used to explain the relationship between the variables in the hypothesis. The result shows that the discount price significant influence on the impulse buying, in-store display a significant influence on the impulse buying, sales people a significant influential on the impulse buying, impulse buying tendency to strengthen the relationship between discount price, in-store display and sales people on the impulse buying. In this study, limitations and implications of the research also are discussed in order to provide insights into the theoretical aspects, practical,and further research.
