Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textA fuel cell is an electrochemical conversion device for generating electricity from the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. The working principle of a fuel cell is the same as a battery but does not require recharging because it will continuously generate electricity as long as the fuel is fulfilled. Fuel cells are considered more efficient and environmentally friendly because they can generate electricity from the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen which only produces water as a waste product. To overcome this problem, a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell composite could be one solution. The lightweight and corrosionresistant nature of the polymer makes it particularly suitable for this application. This study aims to obtain a good electrical conductivity value and to obtain a graphite mixture composition using a local binder, namely epoxy resin. Metal mesh composite plate with composition Graphite 60% : Epoxy Resin 40%, Graphite 70%: Epoxy Resin 30% and Graphite 80%: Epoxy resin 20% (volume fraction) obtained through compression molding process at a pressure of six (6) tons with time 45 minutes. This research also studied the effect of composition on characterization which included bending test and microstructure observation. From the results of this study, it was found that the high electrical conductivity value in specimen three (3) with a composition ratio of 80:20 with a value of 25.0 S.cm-1 with a bending strength of 121.6 MPa

Keberhasilan suatu proyek konstruksi ditentukan dari kesesuaian waktu, biaya dan mutu yang ditetapkan dalam dokumen kontrak. Dalam pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi sering terjadi keterlambatan yang disebabkan oleh pihak - pihak yang terlibat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor utama penyebab keterlambatan proyek Normalisasi Air Deras di Area Persawahan Desa Lubuk Sepang Kecamatan Pendopo. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Lubuk Sepang, Kecamatan Pendopo. Temuan penyebab - penyebab keterlambatan pekerjaan, yang dikonfirmasikan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang didistribusikan kepada kontraktor antara lain : faktor eksternal yaitu masalah perizinan dengan Badan Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, masalah lahan terdampak saat mobilisasi alat berat kelokasi pekerjaan, intensitas curah hujan tinggi yang mengakibatkan air sungai mengalami pasang. Keterlambatan yang ditimbulkan tersebut dapat diminimalisasi dengan cara melakukan atau membuat perjanjian pada saat melakukan pekerjaan menjaga lingkungan terhadap kerusakan dan setelah pekerjaan selesai semua lokasi yang rusak atau terganggu akan diperbaiki kembali seperti semula, melakukan koordinasi dengan warga sekitar yang terdampak yang didampingi oleh Kepala Desa dengan melakukan perjanjian terkait ganti rugi lahan yang terdampak oleh melintasnya alat berat, Pada saat cuaca dalam kondisi baik (seperti tidak turun hujan), jam kerja ditambah dan menambah alat berat di lokasi pekerjaan. Sehingga pekerjaan akan lebih cepat selesai
Survey Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Terapi Komplementer
Get PDFBackground: Complementary therapies that exist are one of the community's treatment options. Nurses can act as consultants to clients in choosing appropriate alternatives or help provide direct therapy. This survey aims to see a picture of public knowledge about complementary therapies. Methods: This study uses a descriptive analytic design to describe the public's knowledge about complementary therapy, which was conducted on 50 respondents using an online questionnaire. Result: The results obtained from 50 respondents 68% of respondents said they had known about complementary therapy and as many as 84% said they agreed if complementary therapy was combined with modern therapy. Conclusion: The development of complementary or alternative therapies has been extensive, including people who are involved in providing treatment because of the large number of health professionals and therapists involved in complementary therapies. Nurses as health professionals can participate in complementary therapy.Keywords: survey, knowledge, complementary therap

counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
