Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Kegiatan ini merupakan hibah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat RisetMu Majelis Diktilitbang PP Muhammadiyah.“Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan santri dalam berdakwah khususnya literasi dakwah pada media digitalâ€, ujar Safika Maranti. Sejalan dengan yang disampaikan oleh Mudir Pondok Pesantren Asy-Syifa, Yusuf Ade Pamungkas, S.Ag. melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan para santri memiliki kecakapan dalam berdakwah kususnya dakwah melalui media internet. Sehingga setelah lulus dari pesantren, santri diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan media digital untuk aktivitas produktif dan pengembangan diri dan bukan untuk tindakan konsumtif bahkan destruktif.“Peserta yang terlibat dalam pelatihan ini adalah santri yang menduduki bangku kelas 12 sebagai peluang santri dalam menjawab tantangan dakwah di era modern. Untuk tataran kelas 12 kami mengenalkan berbagai macam hal yang harus dipersiapkan dalam litersi berdakwah digital, salah satunya kemampuan membaca dan mengolah wacana dengan baik ketika berhadapan dengan media/perangkat digital†ujar Safika Maranti.Tri Yaumil Falikha menambahkan bahwa dakwah litersi digital selain sebagai sarana hiburan yang postif juga merupakan sumber belajar untuk menumbuhkan daya kreativitas anak didik. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Skripsi ini membahas biografi Toeti Heraty sebagai seorang penyair
feminis tahun 1967-2000. Disebut sebagai penyair feminis karena Toeti
merupakan seorang penyair perempuan dan isi dari sajak yang diciptakannya
bertemakan feminisme. Penelitian diawali tahun 1967 karena pada tahun
tersebut Toeti pertama kali mempublikasikan sajak ciptaannya lewat Majalah
Horison. Penelitian diakhiri pada tahun 2000 karena tahun tersebut mengakhiri
penciptaan sajak-sajak Toeti yang bertemakan feminisme. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menjelaskan biografi Toeti Heraty sebagai seorang penyair
feminis dan juga mendeskripsikan karya-karyanya yang bertemakan feminisme
baik dalam bentuk sajak maupun prosa lirik. Metode yang digunakan adalah
metode sejarah yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu pemilihan topik, heuristik,
verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi.
Toeti Heraty merupakan seorang penyair yang memberikan sumbangsih
dalam bidang sastra dengan menghasilkan beberapa sajak yang bertemakan
paham feminisme. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kiprah awal Toeti dalam
dunia sastra dimulai ketika sajaknya diterbitkan oleh Majalah Horison pada
tahun 1967. Pada tahun 1974 Toeti membukukan sajak-sajak yang diciptakannya
dan diberi judul Sajak-Sajak 33, judul ini merujuk kepada usia Toeti ketika ia
pertama kali menulis sajak pertamanya. Tahun 1982, Toeti menerbitkan antologi
puisi keduanya yang diberi judul Mimpi dan Pretensi. Toeti menerbitkan
antologi puisinya yang ketiga pada tahun 1995 berjudul Nostalgi=Transedensi,
judul tersebut diambil dari judul sajak yang mengawali antologi puisi tersebut.
Beberapa sajak yang Toeti buat mengusung tema feminisme dan citra
perempuan dalam masyarakat. Tema tersebut menjadi ciri khas dari sajak-sajak
ciptaan Toeti. Pada tahun 1994, Toeti mendirikan Galeri Cemara 6 guna
mendukung kegiatan seni dan feminisme di Indonesia. Toeti juga ikut
berkontribusi dalam berdirinya Yayasan Jurnal Perempuan untuk mendukung
kemudahan dalam mengakses jurnal-jurnal yang mengangkat isu feminisme.

This thesis discusses the biography of Toeti Heraty as an Indonesian
Feminist Poet in 1967-2000. Toeti is called a feminist poet because she is a
female poet and the content of the poems she creates has the theme of feminism.
This research began in 1967 because in that year Toeti published his poetry for
the first time through the Horison Magazine and ended in 2000 because that year
ended the creation of Toeti's poems with the theme of feminism. This study aims
to explain Toeti Heraty's biography as a feminist poet and also to describe her
works with the theme of feminism both in the form of poetry and lyrical prose.
The method used is the historical method which consists of 5 steps, namely
define the topic, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography.
Toeti Heraty is a poet who has contributed to the field of literature by
producing several poems with the theme of feminism. Based on the results of the
research, Toeti's work in the world of literature began when his poetry was
published by Horison Magazine in 1967. In 1974 Toeti wrote down the poems
she created and entitled it as Sajak-Sajak 33, this title refers to Toeti's age when
she wrote her first poetry. In 1982, Toeti published his second poetry anthology
entitled Mimpi dan Pretensi. Toeti published his third poetry anthology in 1995
entitled Nostalgia = Transedensi, the title was taken from the first title of the
poem. Some of Toeti's poems carry the theme of feminism and the image of
women in society. This theme is the hallmark of Toeti's poems. In 1994, Toeti
established Galeri Cemara 6 to support art and feminism activities in Indonesia.
Toeti also contributed to the establishment of the Women's Journal Foundation
to support the ease of accessing journals that raise the issue of feminism.

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
