MASKULINITAS TOKOH SABARI DALAM NOVEL AYAH KARYA
Get PDFAbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah karya Andrea Hirata dan (2) untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan maskulinitas tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah karya Andera Hirata dengan kehidupan saat ini. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian sastra, metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif ialah metode penelitian yang di dalamnya berisi fenomena ataupun kegiatan yag dijadikan sebuah objek kemudian dari penelitian tersebut dikembangkan menjadi bentuk paragraf yang bersifat deskriptif. Dalam penelitan ini, penyusun meneliti mengenai maskulinitas tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah yang kemudian mendeskripsikan data yang diperoleh dari penggalan dan dialog dalam novel tersebut menjadi data yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan bahwa maskulinitas tokoh Sabari tercermin dan tergambar dari karakteristik yang ia punyai. Tokoh Sabari sangat setia kepada pasangannya, rela berkorban, dan tidak menuntut. Dia mempunyai kepekaan social yang sangat tinggi. Pantang menyerah terhadap apa yang dicita-citakan tidak mengenal putus asa. Maskulinitas tokoh Sabari secara karakter juga ditunnjukkan lewat sifat mau mengakkui kesalahan sendiri, tetap menjadi diri sendiri, dan kebaikan-kebaikab dalam bertingkah laku, sabar, jujur, dan pekerja keras, serta bertanggung jawab terhadap segala urusan. Tokoh Sabari juga merupakan tokoh yang sangat menyayangi dan perhatian terhadap keluarga, khususnya kepada anaknya. Hal-hal itulah yang menjadikan Sabari menjadi laki-laki maskulin secara karakteristik. Kata Kunci: Maskulinitas, Sabari, Novel Aya

No full textKarya sastra merupakan hasil rekaan seorang pengarang untuk menggambarkan kehidupan manusia yang diwarnai oleh sikap, latar belakang, dan keyakinan pengarang. Novel mengandung berbagai nilai yang dapat berguna bagi pembaca, salah satunya adalah nilai perjuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai perjuangan tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu dengan tahap mengumpulkan data, mengklasifikasi data, menganalisis data, dan menginterpretasikan semua data yang telah dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai perjuangan tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah yaitu nilai rela berkorban, nilai persatuan, nilai harga-menghargai, nilai sabar dan semangat pantang menyerah, dan nilai kerja sama. No full textKarya sastra tidak hanya mencakup film, cerpen, drama, serta puisi. Namun, novel juga termasuk karya sastra. Novel ialah sebuah karangan prosa yang panjang di dalamnya terdapat rentetan cerita kehidupan tokoh yang lengkap dengan konfliknya dan menonjolkan sifat dan wataknya. Dalam penulisan skripsi ini peneliti tertarik unutk membahas mengenai kepribadian humanis tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah yang ditinjau dengan kajian psikologi Sigmund Freud, dengan fokus permasalahan yakni (1) bentuk kerpibadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek id (2) bentuk kerpibadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek ego (3) bentuk kerpibadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek superego.
Sumber penelitian ini didapatkan dalam novel Ayah karya Andrea Hirata yang berupa dialog antar tokoh, penjelasan peneliti, dan komentar tokoh yang menunjukan perilaku, juga tindakan dalam novel tersebut. Berbekal data yang didapat kemudian peneliti melakukan analisis. Sehingga sumber data yang dimanfaatkan dalam penelitian ini terdapat pada pada novel Andrea Hirata yang berjudul “Ayah”. Diterbitkan oleh PT Bentang Pustaka cetakan pertama, Mei 2015, Yogyakarta. Dengan tebal novel 412 halaman. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara baca, catat, dan tulis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, jenis penelitian deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra
Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan berupa (1) kepribadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek id pada penelitian ini ada 4, yaitu a) pekerja keras b) gigih c) baik hati d) optimis e) tegar f) percaya diri g) bertanggung jawab (2) kepribadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek ego pada penelitian ini ada 4, yaitu a) percaya diri b) berfikir logis c) perhatian d) pantang menyerah e) pengertian (3) kepribadian humanis tokoh Sabari pada aspek superego pada penelitian ini ada 4, yaitu a) suka menolong b) penuh harapan c) sabar d) rela berkorban.
Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat berguna bagi peminat sastra penelitian ini dapat digunakan atau dimanfaatkan oleh pemerhati dan peminat sastra sebagai masukan dengan tujuan menilai sastra yang selaras dengan nilai sosial yang ada dalam karya sastra dalam bentuk novel. Intinya dapat membuat karya satra yang epic, bermutu dan menarik yang dapat memberikan motivasi bagi pembacanya.

Evaluating user emotional response with virtual fitting room towards movement quality / Norshida Sabari
Get PDFOnline shopping plays a big role in e-commerce as Internet kept on evolving. Online retailer are making extra effort in making sure that their websites comply with consumers need. One of the technologies that were being implemented is virtual fitting room which used virtual reality technology. In order to implement virtual fitting room it is crucial to know the best website design which includes how user emotion can be influenced by interacting with it. i. However, it is reported that even with this current technology many researchers have found that customers still prefer to go and shop in the boutique instead of buying it online. An interview session, questionnaire distribution and an empirical study will be done and hopefully the results will help online retailer in designing their websites. Users experience while using virtual fitting room is captured and their emotion is analyzed using physiological measurement. Their skin temperature is measured based on variables involved in the experiment. The findings show that graceful elements should be considered in design elements of virtual fitting room. The analysis has shown support on graceful elements since many participants agrees that graceful elements affect their emotions
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. in Islamic song selected. Other than that, the study focus at the analysis persuasion
rhetoric through Islamic song selected. The study used method of content analysis from
the album The Best Of Opick songs (2011) and I Love Rasulullah by Hafiz Hamidun.
There are daawah message about faith, sharia and morality that applied in both album that
found in the study. Example of daawah persuasion rhetoric that used in these album is

Robot arm imitating human upper arm: the design and stress analysis / M.S.I.M Sabari and R.L.A. Shauri
Get PDFIn previous work, a developed four degree of freedom (DoF) arm failed to move in actual experiment due to the vibration that occurred at the first joint which carries the heaviest payload of the arm. It indicates the importance of analysing robot design before a prototype can be built for real motion. A new robotic arm that was designed to imitate a human upper arm has four joints which rotate around x, y, and z-axis to move its four links to the required posture of the wrist. The work demonstrates the use of a design software to confirms feasibility of the joints for motion and finite element analysis (FEA) to predict the behaviour of the structure when under force. FEA results showed that most of the links have experienced lower stress levels than of the tensile yield strength of alloy steel material which proved the strength of the structure to sustain the applied 15Nm stress test. Hence, with minor adjustments to match with the size of the existing robot hand, the design is ready for fabrication process in the next study
