The mean score of posttest was greater than the mean score of pretest. the mean score of pretest was 4.27 and the mean score of posttest was 7.64. Then, the t-test value was 242.8 and t-table value was 1.708 with df = 78 and α = 0.1. It can be concluded that, the application of Modified Fill-In Passage Exercise can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery

The research was conducted is to find out the effectiveness of using
Duolingo application in learning English vocabulary and to know the students
response in learning vocabulary using Duolingo application at Seventh Grade of
MTsN 3 Luwu. The researcher used pre-experimental method. The instrument in
this research was pre-test and post-test. The researcher choose a sample of 17
from 35 population. The data was analyzed statistically by using SPSS 22 Edition.
The students‟ test result of mean score in the pre-test was 47.6471 and the mean
score of the students‟ in the post-test was 70.2941. The mean score of post-test
was greater than pre-test. Based on the result of data analysis, the reseracher found
that the p Value was 0.00 and the Alpha was 0.05, therefore p<α (0.00<0.05). it
proved that the hypothesis (H0) was rejected and hypothesis (HI) was accepted.
Based on the result of questionnaire about students response is all of the students
responses are positively toward the use of Duolingo application in learning
English vocabulary. The students felt that Duolingo application made students‟
enjoy, motivate and new alternative in learn English.

Get PDFHasil yang dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan masyarakat melakukan pernikahan dini di desa Gattareng adalah 1) faktor ekonomi, 2) faktor orang tua, 3) faktor hamil diluar nikah, (4) faktor media sosial internet, 5) faktor tradisi keluarga, 6) faktor kebiasaan dan adat istiadat. Mengetahui pandangan masyarakat mengenai pernikahan dini. Dampak-dampak yang muncul dari pernikahan di desa Gattareng yaitu 1) kehilangan kesempatan mengecap pendidikan tinggi, 2) interaksi teman sebaya berkurang, 3) sempitnya peluang mendapat kerja. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
