What does being canonic mean for a dramatic text? Why is a text such as "Six characters in Search of an Author, a text that broke radically with the traditional structure of drama, expressing the crisis within fundamental categories of Westernthought, considered canonic? The author analyses the problem in two joint-text essays that accompany Pirandello's work, from the perspectives of ideas and that of the history of the dramatic form and performance: "inside the text" and "staging".The book is the first of a series of volumes designed to put together the pieces of an open mosaic, which has contributed significantly to the building and expression of the European consciousness

Genetic evolution of canine coronavirus and recent advances in prophylaxis

    No full text
Since the first identification of the virus in 1971, the disease caused by canine coronavirus (CCoV) has not been adequately investigated and the role that the virus plays in canine enteric illness has still not been well established. In the last decade, as a consequence of the relatively high mutation frequency of RNA positive stranded viruses, CCoV has evolved and a new genotype has been identified in the faeces of infected dogs. The several studies carried out by different researchers have focused upon the epidemiological relevance of these viruses and, considering the wide diffusion of CCoV infections among dog populations, the author underlines the need for further investigation on the biology of CCoV and on the pathogenetic role of their infections

Joan Roís de Corella, La lamentació de Mirra, de Narciso, de Píramus i Tisbe: edizione critica

    No full text
This contribution is a partial anticipation of the integral critical edition of the mythological faules of Joan Roís de Corella (XV century) for Barcino (ENC). It derives from the need to revise the textual situation of the most representative faula of the initial Corellan narrative phase, namely Lamentació de Mirra, de Narciso, de Píramus i Tisbe, and to propose, where necessary, new textual lessons. It consists of an introductory section followed by a new edition of the text with its critical and complementary apparatuses. In the introduction, essential information is at first provided on the manuscripts’ tradition and previous editions of the Lamentacions, otherwise known as Lo jardí de amor, with reference to the few existing papers specifically dedicated to it. Then, reflections on the diegetic and semantic coherence of the Corellan narration follow, by inspecting on why the author combines and how he amalgams the three myths, and focusing on the traits of the faula’s autonomy from Ovidian (or neo-Ovidian) formulation of the three stories. This new edition of the faula is accompanied by footnotes, where questions related to the constitutio textus are discussed in detail

The Innovative Dance Seasons at Teatro Club of Anne d’Arbeloff and Gerardo Guerrieri The author has selected and analysed, from a historical perspective, the large material preserved in the Teatro Club Archive at the “Antonio Baldini” Library in Rome, with the aim to reveal the various and innovative production of dance events organized by the Association in its first years, from 1957 to 1966. The essay focuses also on some significant performances for the originality of the artistic selection concerning the season programmes in the Italian theatre of the Fifties and Seventies, proposing several reasons for a reflection on an argument not yet investigated by the history of dance and of which the author offers a first accurate inquiry

II 632 deo / dea the communis opinio, though persuaded that in any case the reference is to Venus, however prefers deo as lectio difficilior. Also the author of this article believes that deo is the right reading, but she is of the opinion that this word in the context denotes all deities in general, and in the Aeneas’ expression ducente deo she recognizes the pietas erga deos that Aeneas had preserved intact even amid the Troy’s ruin

La configurabilità del lavoro autonomo su piattaforma digitale

In recent years, various models of work on digital platforms have been introduced with the aim of protecting employment even in the absence of subordination. According to the Author, the recent legislative initiatives recognize that the digital infrastructure plays a significant role in conditioning the way work is carried out even in cases where the employment contract is formally qualified as self-employed. Except for those cases in which platforms are regarded as mere intermediaries in the labour market, all the schemes of legislative origin delineate platform work according to patterns that are essentially incompatible with those of self-employment
