Penerapan Hukum Waris Adat Pada Perkumpulan Marga Sitompul Di Kota Pekanbaru
No full textAlong with the development and change of time, customary law is still used and not used. Development and change occur due to modernization and emancipation factors that arise with economic and political developments, science and technology which directly impact social awareness and human rights, this also creates a dynamic movement of the demands of human dignity. This situation also greatly affects girls who want to escape from the values of customary law, which are discriminatory in nature between the roles, rights and authorities of boys compared to girls. In the study of the writing of this thesis, there are 3 (three) main problems that the author raises, namely First, how are the provisions of the Inheritance of Assets according to Toba Batak Customs in their original area, second, how is the application of customary inheritance law at the Sitompul clan association in Pekanbaru city, and third, How is the development of the application of customary inheritance law at the Sitompul clan association in the city of Pekanbaru according to the area of origin. In this study, the author uses a sociological legal research method that is included in this type of observational research, namely by surveying or visiting directly to the research location using data collection tools, namely interviews and questionnaires with respondents. The results of the study indicate that the provisions of inheritance of wealth according to the Batak Toba custom in the area of origin still use the Patrilineal system. In whatever form, the inheritance of wealth is still firmly held and falls into the hands of the Toba Batak boys. And if someone does not have a male descendant, then the offspring is considered extinct and all property falls in the hands of the son's family according to the agreement of the Toba Batak Adat King. The position of daughters in the provisions of the Toba Batak Adat inheritance is not entitled to inheritance from their parents in any form. The application of traditional inheritance law at the Sitompul clan association in Pekanbaru generally still uses the Patrilineal system which always prioritizes boys compared to girls, because in the Sitompul clan customary system boys are Kings and are also descendants of the Sitompul clan. The development of the application of customary inheritance law at the Sitompul clan association in Pekanbaru City according to the area of origin is influenced by the times, in which the Sitompul clan community is familiar with western laws such as the Burgelijk Wetboek or better known in Indonesia the Civil Code. The Sitompul clan community uses this law a lot for justice in the distribution of inheritance to girls or boys, so that it does not cause discrimination between the roles, rights and authorities of boys compared to girls, as well as creating positive law enforcement in the middle. customary law of Marga Sitompul, Pekanbaru City

The data to be obtained is related to the prices of basic commodities in Indonesia area affected by the pandemic which has caused market prices to increase or decrease. The research method is by collecting data on the prices of basic commodities that are already in the data by BI and BPS. As a result, we will find out how currency exchange rates, inflation, and the effect on market prices during the pandemic in Indonesia . No full textThe application of battery energy storage (BES) in microgrid systems has attracted much attention in recent years. It is because the BES is able to store excess power and discharge its power when needed. In islanded microgrid systems, BES is starting to be considered as a unit that can regulate the system frequency. The control used in the BES to display frequency regulation performance is called load-frequency control (LFC). However, this participation resulted in the large size of the battery and high expansion planning cost. In this paper, an advanced LFC control that has frequency limitation compared to traditional LFC is proposed. The proposed control implies droop control as the base and has frequency limitations. Compared to the traditional LFC, the proposed control can reduce the system expansion planning costs. A performance simulation was done to validate battery performance. The results of the numerical simulation showed that the proposed control participated in reducing the operation cost. It directly led to a reduction in the expansion planning cost. A study of battery selection was conducted to draw the practicality of the BES sizing solutions

No full textThe pedestrian path in the Pekanbaru City Public Service Mall office area is one of the transportation facilities that is often neglected in terms of service quality. Moreover, in the area there are many offices nearby that can be reached on foot. Making the pedestrian path in the area one of the routine places for pedestrians who are quite active. Not only that, the traffic conditions that are quite crowded and congested, the poor condition of the pedestrian path, and the presence of four-wheeled vehicle users who park haphazardly to use part of the sidewalk, be a factor in providing comfort, security, and safety. For this reason, an evaluation of the quality of pedestrian services is needed. This research was conducted by direct survey of the number of pedestrians and the volume of vehicles in the outermost lane during peak service hours. That is in the morning at 07.00 - 09.00 WIB, in the afternoon 11.30 - 13.30 WIB, and in the evening 15.00 - 17.00. Other data that needs to be taken in the field such as road geometry data, speed data, and parking data are processed and analyzed using the Highway Capacity Manual 2010 (HCM 2010) method. The service level at HCM 2010 is categorized into 6 levels, namely category A with Service Level Value 2.00 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) > 60 ft2/p. Category B with Service Level Value > 2.00 - 2.75 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) > 40 – 60 ft2/p. Category C with Service Level Value > 2.75 - 3.50 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) > 24 - 40 ft2/p. Category D with Service Level Value > 3.50 - 4.25 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) > 15 – 24 ft2/p. Category E with Service Level Value > 4.25 - 5.00 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) > 8 – 15 ft2/p. Category F with Service Level Value > 5.00 and Pedestrian Space (Ap) 8.0 ft2/p. The results of the analysis obtained are that the Jalan Jadirejo sidewalk gets an A service value in all time categories. On the Jalan Jendral Sudirman sidewalk section, the service score is A in the morning and afternoon, while in the afternoon, the service value is D. On the southern section of the Cut Nyak Dien road, the service score is F, both in the morning, afternoon and evening. On the west side of the Cut Nyak Dien sidewalk, the service score is A in the morning, in the afternoon it gets a service value of C, while in the afternoon it gets a service value of B. The difference in the value of this service level is due to differences in the volume of vehicles on the outermost lane in the morning , afternoon, and evening and is also influenced by the width of the sidewalk available to accommodate the number of pedestrians

Using Artificial Neural Network to Provide Realistic Lifting Capacity in the Mobile Crane Simulation
No full textSimulations are often used for training novice operators to avoid accidents, while they are still polishing their skills. To ensure the experience gained in the simulation be applicable in real-world scenarios, the simulation has to be made as realistic as possible. This paper investigated how to make the lifting capacity of a virtual mobile crane behave similarly like its real counterpart. We initially planned to use information from the load charts, which document how the lifting capacity of a mobile crane works, but the data in the load charts were very limited. To mitigate this issue, we trained an artificial neural network (ANN) using 90% of random data from two official load charts of a real mobile crane. The trained model could predict the lifting capacity based on the real-time states of the boom length, the load radius, and the counterweight of the virtual mobile crane. To evaluate the accuracy of the ANN predictions, we conducted a real-time experiment inside the simulation, where we compared the lifting capacity predicted by the ANN and the remaining 10% of the data from the load charts. The results showed that the ANN could predict the lifting capacity with small deviation rates. The deviation rates also had no significant impact on the lifting capacity, except when both boom length and load radius were approaching their maximum states. Therefore, the predicted lifting capacity generated by the ANN could be assumed to be close enough to the values in the load charts.This is an Author Accepted Manuscript version of the following chapter: S.
