Psychological Experiences of Elderly Patients With Covid-19 Diagnosis in Intensive Care: A Qualitative Study
In the study, it was aimed to determine the experiences of elderly COVID-19 patients hospitalized in intensive care units. The study was conducted based on the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods. In-depth interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview form with 15 participants, who were determined by the homogeneous and criterion sampling methods, two of the purposive sampling methods. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s seven-step method. After the interviews, four themes were determined: intensive care experiences, importance of nursing care, intensive care environment and coping mechanisms related to COVID-19 disease, and post-intensive care realizations. In addition, 13 sub-themes were determined. This study provided a better understanding of the psychological experiences of elderly individuals during the disease, who have been hospitalized in intensive care unit and survived COVID-19. © The Author(s) 2022

Effect of rotor blade tip clearance on aerodynamic performance of high-speed multi-stage axial compressor
Using a high-speed multistage scale model compressor simulating a middle stage of a gas turbine compressor for power generation, the effects of 3 types of rotor tip clearances on performance and operating range, and the vortex structure of rotor tip leakage vortices were investigated numerically and experimentally. To clarify the mechanism of the unsteady development of tip leakage vortices from vortex breakdown to stall cells, which was confirmed to occur in the condition of largest tip clearance, details were investigated by unsteady numerical analysis. In both CFD and experiments, the tip leakage loss increased rapidly when the tip clearance increased, and the load increased. The tip leakage flow is determined by the tip clearance and differential pressure between suction and pressure side. Under the condition of the largest clearance, the axial momentum of the tip leakage flow decreases with increasing blade load. At this time, a rapid increase in loss was observed at the 30 %chord of the rotor, suggesting that the double leakage increased and the backflow from the trailing edge reached the mid-chord position of the adjacent blades, contributing to the increased loss. At the condition of the highest-pressure ratio of the largest clearance, vortex breakdown occurred. Spiral vortex breakdown of the tip leakage vortex causes the vortex to swing and then begin to interfere with the adjacent blade leading edge, and the vortex feet attach to the adjacent blade pressure side and the blockage develops. This starts the generation of spillage and initiates the formation of a stall cell
Direct Dimesitylborylation of Benzofuran Derivatives by an Iridium-Catalyzed C-H Activation with Silyldimesitylborane
Direct dimesitylborylation of benzofuran derivatives by a C-H activation catalyzed by an iridium(I)/N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex in the presence of Ph2MeSi-BMes(2) afforded the corresponding dimesitylborylation products in good to high yield with excellent regioselectivity. This method provides a straightforward route to donor-(pi-spacer)-acceptor systems with intriguing solvatochromic luminescence properties
(Motoaki Saito, 1805) and Yuseido Wasan School (The study of the history of mathematics 2018)
"The study of the history of mathematics 2018". September 18-21, 2018. edited by Shigeru Jochi. The papers presented in this volume of RIMS Kôkyûroku Bessatsu are in final form and refereed.Sukesada Hirose 広瀬祐貞(?-1882?), 10^{th} principal of Seki-ryu 関流 school, was mathematician from the end of Edo period to the Meiji period, and founded the wasan school of Yuseido 由精堂 at Shinshiro 新城, Mikawa 三河(now Aichi 愛知 prefecture). His school was one of the Seki-ryu school, however, its curriculum was quite unique with other Seki-ryu schools. The author thinks the mathematical works of Murahide Araki 荒木村英(1640-1718), the 2^{nd} principal of Seki-ryu school, was influenced on Hirose's school. It was said that Hirose wrote the Sanpo Shoyaku-jutsu 算法諸約術 in 1805 although there were a few historical materials about Hirose. The Heizaemon Kato's 加藤平左ヱ門(1891-1976)Wasan correction at Taihoku Imperial University 台北帝国大学(now National Taiwan University 国立台湾大学) was discovered in 2004, and the author discovered 66 mathematical arts concerned with Hirose. Then his school was founded at Shishiro, Aichi prefecture, and he was died about 1882. Therefore the author conclude that Hirose did not write the Sanpo Shoyaku-jutsu, and it was written by Motoaki Saito 斎藤元章(1765-1812), 6^{th} principal of Seki-ryu school, and the Sanpo Shoyakujutsu was infuluenced by the Saijo-ryu 最上流 school of Yasuaki Aida 会田安明 (1747-1817)
