    Teachers’ Strategy in Improving Students’ Learning Achievement of Al-Qur’an and Hadits at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Mardiah Mardiah Askar Askar Rustina Rustina This study aims to determine the strategies of teachers of the Qur'an and hadith subjects in improving the learning achievement of students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Khairaat Biromaru. The method is qualitative research, with data collection techniques namely; observation, interview and documentation. By using analytical techniques; data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Data verification uses three methods namely deductive, inductive and comparative. Research results show that by using expository learning strategies with lecture, training or group work methods in teaching it can make it easier for teachers to control students to learn in accordance with the objectives to be achieved in the Al-Khairaat Biromaru Madrasah (MTs) Al-Khairaat Biromaru namely to increase learning achievement.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang penerapan metode bermain pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan pengaruhnya terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa SD Negeri 66 Cappakala Kabupaten Pinrang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasy eksperiment dengan desain pretest dan postest control group design. Variabel bebasnya adalah penerapan metode bermain dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan variabel terikatnya adalah motivasi berprestasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 66 Cappakala Kabupaten Pinrang berjumlah 34 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi dan koesioner (angket). Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penerapan metode bermain dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD Negeri 66 Cappakala Kabupaten Pinrang dilaksanakan dengan teknik kompetisi melalui tahapan pra bermain, bermain, dan pasca bermain secara baik. (2) motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas IV SDN No.66 Cappakala pada kelompok eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata 57,12 berkategori tinggi dan pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh rata-rata 47,35 berkategori rendah. (3) Ada pengaruh penerapan metode bermain dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa Kelas IV di SDN No. 66 Cappakala Kabupaten Pinrang.     PERSEPSI MAHASISWA TINGKAT AKHIR DI UIN DATOKARAMA PALU DALAM MEMAHAMI KEDUDUKAN TEORI PADA PENELITIAN KUALITATIF

    This research aims to find out the perceptions of final-year students at UIN Datokarama Palu in understanding the position of theory in qualitative research. The research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, the instrument in this research is the researcher himself, the data sources in the research are primary data originating from interviews and observations as well as secondary data originating from literature studies either sourced from journals or books related to the research objectives. submitted. The data collection technique was carried out through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities. After the data was collected, the next step was data analysis to produce conclusions. As for the conclusions from the results of this research, it is known that a small number of final-year students at UIN Datokarama Palu who were FGD participants quite understand the position of theory in qualitative research and can articulate or mix theory into narrative form accompanied by examples. Meanwhile, the rest have only reached the stage of understanding and are not yet able to articulate or formulate theories into narrative form accompanied by examples. This lack of ability is closely related to the interest in reading and writing by final year students who participated in the FGD. From this information, Indonesian language course lecturers and research methodology lecturers must collaborate in taking effective steps in teaching courses that can support the completion of final assignments or theses.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tingkat akhir di UIN Datokarama Palu dalam memahami kedudukan teori pada penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri, sumber data dalam penelitian adalah data primer yang berasal dari wawancara dan observasi serta data sekunder yang berasal dari kajian literatur baik yang bersumber dari jurnal atau buku yang berkaitan dengan tujuan penelitian yang diajukan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), setelah data terkumpul selanjutnya adalah analisis data untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan. Adapun kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini, diketahui bahwa sebagian kecil mahasiswa tingkat akhir UIN Datokarama Palu yang menjadi peserta FGD cukup memahami kedudukan teori dalam penelitian kualitatif dan mampu mengartikulasi atau meramu teori ke dalam bentuk narasi dan disertai dengan contoh. Sementara sisanya hanya sampai pada tahap memahami dan belum mampu mengartikulasi atau meramu teori ke dalam bentuk narasi yang disertai dengan contoh. Kurangnya kemampuan tersebut, erat kaitannya dengan minat membaca dan menulis yang dimiliki oleh para mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang menjadi peserta FGD. Dari informasi tersebut, maka perlu kiranya bagi dosen mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia dan dosen metodologi penelitian berkolaborasi mengambil langkah efektif pada pengajaran mata kuliah yang dapat menunjang penyelesaian tugas akhir atau skripsi

    The purpose of this study was to examine Post-Earthquake Social Changes on Children's Islamic Education in Palu, Petobo Village. Based on the title of this research, the authors reveal the problem, such as How the Forms of Post-Earthquake Social Changes on Children's Education in Petobo Village and Anticipation of what is done in dealing with the Social Changes in Post-Earthquake Children's Education in Petobo Village. This study used quaitative method with a case study approach. The case study in this paper is comunities in Palu which has experience the tsunami and earthquake chatastrhophee. Data was collected through in-depth interview, field observation, and written document. The results of this study show that the form of social change in children's Islamic education after the earthquake is the occurrence of changes in behavior because of physical or natural environmental factors, social environment, economics, infrastructure factors, and factors that decrease children's motivation due to environmental and infrastructure damage. As an implication, it is necessary to develop Islamic education through a humanistic approach because of social change. It must focus on Islamic education, especially in areas affected by earthquakes and liquefaction. The limitation of this research is that it only focuses on social change in the context of education. In the future, there is a need for other research that also examines social change as a whole

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
