Adhesion between highly stretchable materials
Recently developed high-speed ionic devices require adherent laminates of stretchable and dissimilar materials, such as gels and elastomers. Adhesion between stretchable and dissimilar materials also plays important roles in medicine, stretchable electronics, and soft robots. Here we develop a method to characterize adhesion between materials capable of large, elastic deformation. We apply the method to measure the debond energy of elastomer-hydrogel bilayers. The debond energy between an acrylic elastomer and a polyacrylamide hydrogel is found to be about 0.5 J m(-2), independent of the thickness and the crosslink density of the hydrogel. This low debond energy, however, allows the bilayer to be adherent and highly stretchable, provided that the hydrogel is thin and compliant. ANALISIS PENGUASAAN KATA BANTU BILANGAN "ZUO", "JIA", "JIAN", "TAO"."SUO" PADA MAHASISWA BAHASA MANDARIN
AbstractChinese has many characteristics which are different from other languages. One of its prominent features is the abundance of quantifiers. "zuo", "jia", "jian", "tao" and "suo" all belong to noun quantifiers. These five words are quantifiers used to count houses and places. There are similarities and differences in their usage. Therefore, Chinese learners tend to misunderstand these five words, leading to misuse and inappropriate use.In order to understand the mastery of "zuo", "jia", "jian", "tao" and "suo" by the students of theChinese Language major in the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education TanjungPura University, the author tested the students with the test method, and analyzed the difficulties of of "zuo", "jia", "jian", "tao" and "suo". The test results show that the students'mastery of the quantifier "jian" and "jia" is very good, with the correct rate reaching more than 70%, while the students' mastery of "zuo" and "tao" is not very good, with the correct rate less than 70%, and the correct rate of ”suo" is 59%. Why the Development of Health Insurance Is Regionally Imbalanced: Evidence from China
As China adopted an imbalanced development strategy to obtain rapid economic growth, it is getting more and more urgent to find out a feasible way to balanced development of social safety network. This study measures the degree of regional disparities in China's health insurance industry and explores the rationales by a thorough examination of health insurance purchasing behavior. An empirical analysis is conducted, based on a panel data of 31 provinces from 2004 to 2014, to test the hypothesis. Advanced fibre gratings fabricated in standard and infrared glass fibres by ultraviolet and near-infrared- femtosecond lasers
In this thesis, I describe studies on fabrication, spectral characteristics and applications of tilted fibre gratings (TFGs) with small, large and 45° tilted structures and novel developments in fabrication of fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) and long period gratings (LPGs) in normal silica and mid-infrared (mid-IR) glass fibres using near-IR femtosecond laser. One of the major contributions presented in this thesis is the systematic investigation of structures, inscription methods and spectral, polarisation dependent loss (PDL) and thermal characteristics of TFGs with small (45°) and 45° tilted structures. I have experimentally characterised TFGs, obtaining relationships between the radiation angle, central wavelength of the radiation profile, Bragg resonance and the tilt angle, which are consistent with theoretical simulation based on the mode-coupling theory. Furthermore, thermal responses have been measured for these three types of TFGs, showing the transmission spectra of large and 45° TFGs are insensitive to the temperature change, unlike the normal and small angle tilted FBGs. Based on the distinctive optical properties, TFGs have been developed into interrogation system and sensors, which form the other significant contributions of the work presented in this thesis. The 10°-TFG based 800nm WDM interrogation system can function not just as an in-fibre spectrum analyser but also possess refractive index sensing capability. By utilising the unique polarisation properties, the 81 °-TFG based sensors are capable of sensing the transverse loading and twisting with sensitivities of 2.04pW/(kg/m) and 145.90pW/rad, repectively. The final but the most important contribution from the research work presented in this thesis is the development of novel grating inscription techniques using near-IR femtosecond laser. A number of LPGs and FBGs were successfully fabricated in normal silica and mid-IR glass fibres using point-by-point and phase-mask techniques. LPGs and 1st and 2nd order FBGs have been fabricated in these mid-IR glass fibres showing resonances covering the wavelength range from 1200 to 1700nm with the strengths up to 13dB. In addition, the thermal and strain sensitivities of these gratings have been systematically investigated. Condizioni, motivazioni e percezioni dei partecipanti al MOOC RUIAP
Il contributo descrive i risultati di una rilevazione che la RUIAP ha condotto sulle reazioni dei partecipanti al suo MOOC “Individuazione degli apprendimenti pregressi per la validazione e la certificazione delle competenze” erogato sul portale EduOpen. Il MOOC, dopo la sua prima edizione (2015-2016) curata da alcune delle università associate, nel 2016 è stato riprogettato per garantire la sostenibilità della sua erogazione e trasferito sul portale EduOpen. La riprogettazione ha portato al passaggio da un modello didattico ispirato all’approccio connettivista a un modello basato esclusivamente sull’auto-apprendimento. La rilevazione delle reazioni dei partecipanti è stata fatta per mezzo di un questionario somministrato online basato su diverse aree di indagine, dall’interazione con il portale, con le risorse educative e i contenuti, alla qualità dell’insegnamento e dell’apprendimento. Per quanto è stato possibile il questionario riproduce le stesse aree di indagine del questionario somministrato alla fine della prima edizione (2015-2016). I risultati dell’indagine indicano che i partecipanti, che continuano a seguire numerosi il MOOC, apprezzano la modalità di auto-apprendimento con cui dal 2016 viene proposto sul portale EduOpen ma, allo stesso tempo, suggeriscono che esiste il bisogno di potenziare per quanto possibile la sua dimensione interattiva
