Perception of problem picture books by children of kindergarten age
No full textSlikovnica je ona knjiga s kojom se dijete većinom prvi put susreće u svom životu. U radu sam ponajprije prikazala značaj slikovnice u djetetovu životu i karakteristike koje obilježavaju onu kvalitetnu. Kvalitetnu slikovnicu obilježava mogućnost da se dijete poistovijeti s pričom, bogati djetetov govor, prikazuje sklad između ilustracije i teksta, potiče djetetovu maštu te najvažnije omogućuje povezivanje i ljubav prema knjizi. Problemske slikovnice su one koje obilježavaju teme koje su povezane s problemskim situacijama djeteta. Teme koje one prožimaju mogu biti povezane s emocijama, osobinama ličnosti i ponašanjem, odnosima u obitelji i društvu, kulturno-higijenskim navikama i zdravljem. Važnost navedenih tematika je u tome što one pomažu ne samo djetetu nego i odgojiteljima i djetetovoj obitelji koji su u neposrednoj okolini djeteta. Odgojitelj ima važnu ulogu kada je u pitanju čitanje, poticanje djece na aktivno slušanje i rješavanje problema, a dodatna uloga je osvijestiti roditelje o navedenim važnostima. Cilj ovoga rada bio je pregledno istražiti problemske slikovnice i teme koje one obilježavaju, ponuditi metodičke aspekte njihove uporabe te prikazati koju ulogu odgojitelj ima u njihovu promicanju. Također, prikazana je i zastupljenost posudbe problemskih slikovnica, a popis sam podijelila na tri tematike, a one su emocije, kulturno-higijenske navike i osobine ličnosti. Svaka tema sadržava 9 naslova problemskih slikovnica. Zastupljenost posudbe istražena je na području Gradske knjižnice i čitaonice Đakovo i Gradske i sveučilišne knjižnice Osijek.A picture book is the book that a child often encounters for the first time in his life. In my work I am primarily showing the importance of the picture book in the child's life and the characteristics that mark its quality. A quality picture book is characterised by the possibility for the child to identify with the story, enriches the child's speech, shows the harmony between the illustration and the text, stimulates the child's imagination and most importantly, it enables connection and love for the book. Problem picture books bring stories and illustrations that solve problem situations that children are dealing with. The topics they talk about are: emotions, personality traits and behaviour, relationships in family and society, cultural and hygienic habits and health. The importance of the mentioned topics is that they help not only the child, but also the kindergarten teachers and the child's family. The educator has an important role when it comes to reading, encouraging children to actively listen and solve problems, and an additional role is to make parents aware of the importance of reading and listening. The main goal of this work was to comprehensively investigate problem picture books and the topics they mark, to offer methodological aspects for their use and to show what role the teacher plays in their promotion. Problem picture books are divided into three topics: emotions, cultural and hygienic habits and personality traits. Each topic contains nine titles of problem picture books. In the end this paper will bring the short analysis of borrowing problem picture books in City Library and Reading Room Đakovo and the City and University Libraries of Osijek
Jargonisms in the speech of children's characters in selected works by Sanja Polak
No full textTema su ovoga rada žargonizmi u djelima hrvatske spisateljice Sanje Polak. Prema enciklopedijskom rječniku žargon je „međunarodni jezikoslovni naziv za riječi i izričaje koji se rabe u neformalnom, kolokvijalnom stilu“. Nalazimo ih u jeziku različitih društvenih skupina, sredina ili pak struke. Oni obogaćuju i čine govor posebnim i prepoznatljivim. Iako žargon ne pripada u jezični standard u književnosti se često koriste jer njihovom upotrebom djela postaju zanimljivija i bliža čitatelju. U ovom radu prikazala sam funkcionalne stilove koji se odnose na žargon, njegove odlike i karakteristike. Između ostalog, proučavala sam i istraživala žargonizme u djelima Sanje Polak. Polak u svojim djelima nudi pregršt događaja s kojima se najmlađi čitatelji mogu poistovjetiti, a popularnost njezine dječje književnosti zasigurno dolazi i iz uporabe žargona. Djela koja sam odabrala za proučavanje i istraživanje žargonizama jesu: Dnevnik Pauline P., Morski dnevnik Pauline P. i Drugi dnevnik Pauline P. Prikazala sam dječje likove koji su se koristili žargonizmima. Osim toga definirala sam pronađene žargonizme, utvrdila njihovu zastupljenost u navedenim djelima, tvorbu, funkciju i značenje.The topic of this paper is jargon and the use of jargon in the works of the Croatian writer Sanja Polak. According to the encyclopedic dictionary, jargon are "special words and phrases that are used by particular groups of people“. Jargon make speech recognizable and divers from the standard language. Although jargon does not belong to the standard language in literature they are often used because by their using the works become more interesting and closer to the readers. In this paper, I have presented functional styles related to jargon, its features and characteristics. Among other things, I researched jargon in the works of Sanja Polak. Polak is children's writer and often use a jargon because youngest readers can identify with them. The books I have select for this study and research jargon are: The Diary of Pauline P., The Marine Diary of Pauline P., and The Second Diary of Pauline P. I singled out the children’s characters from the books who have used jargon. In addition, I defined the jargons, determined their representation, origin, function and meaning

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
