Negara-negara sebagai pemasok kedatangan wisman dan devisa pada umumnya mempunyai GDP lebih tinggi dari Indonesia, rata-rata pertumbuhan ekonomi pada tahun
2010 sebesar +3,1 persen . Negara Eropa pada umumnya terjadi penurunan pertumbuhan ekonomi semasa krisis berkepanjangan, tercatan Jerman adalah terendah yaitu 0,3 persen dan tertinggi Rusia yakni 1,5 persen somber IMF. Kedatangan wisatawan dunia oleh UNWTO tumbuh tidak begitu signifikan, namun Asia tumbuh lebih besar dibanding wilayah lain. Dari total porsi jumlah pengunjung internasional pada tahun 80an Asia Pacifik hanya
mendapatkan porsi 8 persen, 20 tahun kemudian atau di tahun 2010 Asia Pasifik mendapat porsi 22 persen, dan diperkirakan akan meningkat tajam 20 tahun mendatang atau tahun 2030 pengunjung internasional akan tumpah di wilayah Asia Pacifik dapat mencapai 30 persen (UNWTO, 2012). Dampak dari kesemua devisa diatas pariiwisata telah banyak memberi sumbangan besar kepada Negara ini dan dimanfaatkan untuk pembangunan infrasruktur yang
dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan rakyat, begitu pula yang telah dihasilkan oleh beberapa wilayah provinsi Kota dan Kabupaten yang gencar menggerakkan aktifitas kepariwisataan
untuk meraup pendapatan daerah melalui pungutan dari industri pariwisata. Namun tidak terbatas sampai disitu, dampak langsung yang dirasakan industri pariwisata, pemandu wisata, gallery/toko cendramata, dan jasa keuangan. Yang pasti bisnis pariwisata menghasilkan devisa tanpa mengurangi hasil bumi didaerah tujuan wisata yang dikunjungi wisatawan. Diprediksi hingga tahun 2020, wisatawan yang melakukan perjalanan internasional mencapai 1,6 miliar dengan pembelanjaan sebesar USD 2 triliun. Perkembangan wisatawan mancanegra sesuai dataKementerian Pariwisata RI menunjukkan, kunjungan tahun 2011 sejumlah 7.649.731 meningkat di tahun 2012 menjadi 8 juta wisatawan mancanegara dan di tahun 2013 meningkat menjadi 8.802.129 wisman atau tumbuh 9.42 persen, dan pada tahun 2014 jumlah wisman 9.435.411 atau terjadi penurunan pertumbuhan yakni 6.35 persen, dibanding pertumbuhan dari tahun 2012 ke 2013.

Responsibility (Tanggung Jawab Sosial Perusaan) yang merupakan bagian dari
Program Kemitraan dan Bina Lingkungan (PKBL) yang banyak dilakukan oleh
perusahaan BUMN dan swasta di Indonesia. Program kemitraan ini digunakan
oleh perusahaan sebagai suatu alat/cara untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan
masyarakat di sekitar usaha perusahaan berdomisil melalui kemitraan usaha kecil
menengah yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui bagaimana dampak yang ditimbulkan dari program kemitraan
terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi usaha kecil menengah masyarakat sekitar
perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2010 di Kabupaten Deli
Serdang. Penentuan daerah penelitian dilakukan secara purposive(sengaja), yaitu
di daerah Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Adapun daerah ini dipilih karena memiliki
luas wilayah yang paling luas dihubungkan dengan daerah penyaluran mitra
binaan PTPN III di wilayah Sumatera Utara sehingga sesuai dengan tujuan
penelitian. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu sampel secara simple random
sampling dengan sampel adalah para pelaku usaha kecil menengah yang termasuk
ke dalam Mitra Binaan PT. Nusantara III dalam tahun 2009 dengan jumlah
sampel 30 mitra binaan yang terdiri dari sektor perdaganga 14 usaha, sektor
industri 6 usaha dan sektor jasa 10 usaha.
Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa program
kemitraan PTPN III terhadap usaha kecil menengah masyarakat sekitar dilakukan
dengan sistem kontrak selama 3 tahun dengan syarat-syarat yang telah ditentukan
oleh PTPN III. PTPN III memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membantu
permodalan usaha kecil masyarakat sekitar, mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi
kerakyatan di tengah-tengah masyarakat, sebagai pelaksana dari Program
Kemitaraan dan Bina Lingkungan (PKBL) dan membina mitra binaan melalui
pelatihan-pelatihan yang diberikan kepada mitra binaan. Program kemitraan yang
dilakukan PTPN III terhadap usaha kecil menegah masyarakat sekitar telah
memberikan dampak sosial ekonomi terhadap usaha kecil menegah masyarakat

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
