    Secara yuridis normatif kerabat nonmuslim terhalang menerima harta warisan dari pewaris muslim. Namun tidak memberi bagian warisan sebagaimana hukum asalnya dirasa tidak adil dan tidak sejalan dengan nilai-nilai hukum dan keadilan yang hidup dan berkembang dalam masyarakat Indonesia yang majemuk. Kerabat nonmuslim, betapapun berbeda agama dengan pewaris muslim, adalah orang yang memiliki hubungan darah dengan pewaris, yang di antara mereka terkadang terjadi hubungan harmonis tanpa mempersoalkan perbedaan agama, dan pewaris juga tidak pernah dirugikan oleh kerabat nonmuslim. Dalam kondisi demikian, hakim dituntut berani melakukan terobosan hukum (rule breaking) dengan membaca teks hukum yang ada dengan makna yang lebih luas, atau bahkan dalam keadaan tidak dijumpai teks hukum, melakukan penemuan hukum progresif guna menciptakan hukum baru yang relevan dengan semangat perubahan yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai persamaan, keadilan dan kemanusiaan sebagaimana dicontohkan MA dalam putusanputusannya. Dalam putusannya, MA memberikan bagian harta warisan atau harta peninggalan kepada kerabat nonmuslim dengan sarana hukum wasiat wajibah yang kadar bagiannya sama dengan bagian ahli waris muslim yang sederajat atau maksimal sepertiga. Putusan progresif MA tersebut merupakan hasil penemuan hukum bebas dengan penalaran istiṣlāḥī yang tidak hanya bertumpu pada pemaknaan-pemaknaan literal teks-teks hukum, namun lebih berorientasi pada kemaslahatan antar ahli waris. Kendati demikian, penerapan wasiat wajibah tidak digeneralisasikan pada kasus yang sama, namun lebih bersifat kasuistik dengan mempertimbangkan kemaslahatan dalam hubungan personal antara pewaris muslim sebagai pewasiat dengan kerabat nonmuslim sebagai penerima wasiat (al-maṣlaḥat bain al-mūṣī wa al-mūṣā lah). Oleh karena itu, jika kerabat nonmuslim berkelakuan baik kepada pewaris muslim semasa hidupnya maka wasiat wajibah dapat diberikan kepadanya. Sebaliknya, jika kerabat nonmuslim berkelakuan tidak baik terhadap pewaris muslim semasa hidupnya, maka wasiat wajibah tidak bisa diberikan kepadanya. Penerapan wasiat wajibah kepada kerabat nonmuslim sebagai produk penemuan hukum untuk mewujudkan kemaslahatan di tengah masyarakat Indonesia yang majemuk sangat relevan bagi pembaruan hukum kewarisan Islam Indonesia. Pertama, secara konseptual, hukum kewarisan Islam sebagai bagian dari hukum keluarga, termasuk dalam lapangan hukum muamalat yang memungkinkan dilakukannya kajian baru dengan mempertimbangkan dimensi lokalitas sosial dan budaya di mana hukum kewarisan Islam itu akan diimplementasikan. Karakteristik hukum kewarisan Islam yang terbuka bagi perubahan dan perkembangan tersebut menjadi modal bagi pembaruan hukum kewarisan Islam kapan pun dan di mana pun. Kedua, penerapan wasiat wajibah merupakan respon positif terhadap dinamika sosial dan hukum di tengah masyarakat yang dilakukan dengan menggali, mengikuti dan memahami nilai-nilai hukum dan keadilan yang hidup dan berkembang dalam masyarakat. Masyarakat Indonesia yang majemuk telah mengadakan kontrak sosial untuk hidup rukun, damai, saling hormat menghormati dan tidak saling merendahkan harkat dan martabat kemanusiaan baik atas dasar suku, budaya maupun agama sebagaimana tertuang dalam konstitusi negara, Pancasila dan UUD 1945, yang kemudian dijabarkan dalam berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan maupun ratifikasi terhadap instrumen penegakan dan perlindungan hak asasi manusia internasional. Pengakuan, perlindungan dan penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia tersebut merupakan salah satu pilar utama negara hukum yang sekaligus juga diakui dan dijunjung tinggi oleh Islam. Oleh karena itu, penerapan wasiat wajibah kepada kerabat nonmuslim semestinya menjadi spirit dan modal penting bagi teoritisi dan praktisi hukum untuk melakukan pembaruan hukum kewarisan Islam Indonesia ke depan. Kondisi bangsa Indonesia yang pluralistik menuntut diberlakukannya aturan hukum baru yang ramah terhadap perbedaan, menjunjung tinggi semangat persaudaraan, kesetaraan, keadilan dan hak asasi manusia sebagaimana misi utama ajaran Islam yang sekaligus juga diakui dan dijunjung tinggi oleh tatanan hukum lain baik nasional maupun internasional

Management workshop was primarily related to planning, organizing, implementation and supervision. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative data. Research informants is chairman of competence building expertise, head shop, and supporters of the informant; toolman workshop, productive teacher / instructor workshop. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively in the field. While checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that Stone Management Workshop at SMK Negeri 2 Depok, has been carrying out management functions consisting of the action plan (planning), organizing (organizing), implementation (actuating), as well as monitoring (controlling). (1) Planning is based on the Education Unit Level Curriculum and be forwarded to the Chairman of the Chief Workshop Skills Program and submitted to the Principal then analyzed by Waka Infrastructures. When planning carried out at the beginning of a new doctrine. (2) The organization has no clear division of tasks. Each staff has a duty respectively. Organizing workshop equipment and material practices involving the Principal, Waka Facilities and Infrastructure, Head of Expertise Programme, Head Shop, Practice Teachers and Technicians.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
