The full title is “On Tamar and on the Mystery of the Church.” The biblical narrative on which the poem is based (Gen 38) gives Jacob the opportunity to discuss various women in the early part of biblical history and in Jesus’ lineage, as well as the fact that a woman who is called a prostitute is in that lineage. Jacob explains how Scripture’s language is used in this regard

Cultural values and career goal of Gen-X and Gen-Y: a conceptual framework
No full textPurpose: This article proposes a conceptual framework of influence of cultural values oncareer goals of Gen-X and Gen-Y.
Design/methodology/approach: An integrative literature review method was employed to identify and analyse relevant literatures. The analysis is based on Schwartz’s conceptualizations of cultural values, Mayrhofer et al.’s definition of career goals, and Social Cognitive Career Theory. Keywords such as cultural values, career goal and generation workforce of Gen-X and Gen-Y were used in retrieving literatures found worldwide.
Findings: The author adopted 10 personal cultural values as potential predictors of career goal perceived by the generation workforce of Gen-X and Gen-Y.
Research limitations/implications: It has significance to future research in validating the proposed framework.
Practical implications: Upon validation the paper could offer practical implications for human resource managers, general managers, and employees to assist in understanding the link between cultural values on career goals particularly from the perspective of Gen-X and Gen-Y.
Originality/value: This study is a step forward in understanding influence of cultural values on career goals of an intergenerational workforce of Gen-X and Gen-Y. The paper suggests that practical human resource initiatives should address the issue of the influence of cultural values on career goals

Axions Beyond Gen 2
No full textThe QCD (Quantum ChromoDynamics) axion emerged as one of the best-motivated dark matter candidates. In 2018, the Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX), one of the U.S. Department of Energy's Gen 2flagship dark-matter projects, demonstrated first sensitivity to the highly plausible DFSZdark matter axion couplings over a small frequency range. We anticipate this development marks the first step in constructing yet more powerful experiments that can explore large swaths of the axion parameter space at high sensitivity and result in a discovery. But, realizing this requires advances in both our understanding of the theory and experiment design. Between 25 January and 27 January 2021, the Axions Beyond Gen 2 Workshopwas held, where selected members of the community discussed our broad understanding of the QCD axion and charted a course for future experiments having sensitivity and mass reach well beyond the current Gen 2experiments. Salah satunya yakni integrasi fitur paylater di berbagai e-commerce, yang memungkinkan konsumen untuk memperoleh barang tanpa langsung membayar. Popularitas fitur paylater, pada akhirnya mendorong kalangan masyarakat untuk semakin konsumtif; termasuk Gen Z dengan karakteristiknya yang mengutamakan kemudahan dalam memperoleh jasa dan barang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemaknaan Gen Z di Jakarta, terkait penggunaan paylater di e-commerce, sebagai konstruksi fenomena gaya hidup Gen Z. Jenis dan sifat penelitian ini adalah kualitatif- deskriptif, dengan metode fenomenologi deskriptif untuk menjabarkan pemaknaan Gen Z secara mendalam. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan dianalisis menggunakan konsep fenomenologi, Human Computer Interaction, e-commerce, paylater, gaya hidup konsumtif, dan Gen Z. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa paylater tidak hanya dimaknai sekadar alat bayar, tetapi sebagai solusi darurat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan mendesak. Pemaknaan tersebut terbentuk berdasarkan esensi pengalaman informan dalam menggunakan paylater dan gaya hidup yang terbentuk. Dengan demikian, diharapkan hasil penelitian dapat memberikan wawasan mendalam bagi Gen Z yang ingin menggunakan paylater, agar dapat menggunakan secara bijak
The intertextual reception of Genesis 1-3 in Irenaeus of Lyons
No full textThis thesis explores the intertextual nature of Irenaeus’ reading of Genesis 1-3. In this study, we assume a different mode of investigation than previous works on Irenaeus’ use of scripture. Drawing from contemporary discussions on intertextuality in Fishbane, Boyrin, Hays, and Young, we challenge a tradition of investigation into Irenaeus’ exegesis that has marginalized the significance of scriptural networking inherent to his hermeneutic. This perspective is evident in the previous works on Irenaeus’ reading of Genesis in Orbe, Jacobsen, Kannengiesser, Steenberg, and Holsinger-Friesen. This thesis, on the other hand, brings together an appreciation for Irenaeus’ hermeneutic with respect to his exegesis of Gen 1-3. We show that in every instance Irenaeus interprets Gen 1-3, not in isolation, but in correlation with other texts by means of a variety of intertextual reading strategies that shape his theological polemic. In chapter one we investigate the nature of Irenaeus’ hermeneutical orientation based upon studies of patristic exegesis and his own descriptions of the exegetical task. We show that Irenaeus purposes to interconnect texts in his refutation and exegesis and we formulate a methodology that appreciates his reading of Gen 1-3 within this theological networking of texts. In chapters 2-6, we provide a literary analysis of the echoes, allusions, and citations of Gen 1-3 in each book of Adversus Haereses. In each case we isolate the allusions to Gen 1-3 and the corresponding interrelated texts that form a hermeneutically symbiotic relationship with Gen 1-3. We show how these textual relationships yield a more comprehensive appreciation for the meaning and function of Gen 1-3 in Irenaeus. In chapter 7 we conclude with a summary and cumulative evaluation of the intertextual relationships fashioned with Gen 1-3 and the reading strategies that guide his intertextual use of Gen 1-3. In doing so, this thesis exposes the intricacies of Irenaeus’ theological and intertextual reading of Gen 1-3 and the various ways that Irenaeus harmonizes scripture
