No full textSome articles written by José Martínez Ruiz for the Blanco y Negro illustrated weekly between 1904 and 1910 were analysed, according to the requirements of this monograph. They were collected by José García Mercadal, in a volume entitled En lontananza [In the distance] (1963), alongside many others from varying backgrounds. These collaborations were a kind of literary workshop for Azorín, given that those not made into a book would serve as trials for works or parts of subsequent works. At other times, our author would re-elaborate existing works, giving them new dimensions. Finally, many beautiful stories have remained forgotten in the pages of Blanco y Negro – works which would not be seen in any volume of Azorín’s wide range of works.Atendiendo a las exigencias de este monográfico, se estudian algunos artículos que José Martínez Ruiz escribió para el semanario gráfico Blanco y Negro entre 1904 y 1910. Son, precisamente, aquellos que, en 1963, José García Mercadal recogió en el volumen titulado En lontananza, entre otros tantos de diversa procedencia. Estas colaboraciones fueron una especie de taller literario para Azorín, puesto que las que no pasaron a un libro sirvieron como probaturas para obras o partes de obras posteriores. Otras veces, en cambio, nuestro autor reelaboró escritos ya existentes, dándoles una nueva dimensión. Por último, en las páginas de Blanco y Negro quedaron olvidados bellos cuentos que luego no encontraron cabida en ningún volumen de la amplia creación azoriniana

una intensa actividad pedagógica y propuso un programa docente en la Escuela Superior de
Magisterio de Madrid. Siendo autor regeneracionista de creencias cristianas, se opuso a la
secularización de la vida pública y a la neutralidad religiosa en la escuela. Podría ser situado
en la corriente católica, representada por Manjón, Ruiz Amado, Pedro Poveda y otros. De
fundamentación neoescolástica, no dudó en dialogar con las corrientes pedagógicas de la época
(Pestalozzi, Dewey, Mercier). En estas líneas se recoge un retrato pedagógico, intelectual y

Being a regenerationist author of Christian beliefs, he opposed the secularization of public life and religious neutrality at school. No full textThe first edition of Ivanhoe; a romance. By the author of Waverley was published in Edinburgh in 1820. From the beginning of year 1823, José María Blanco White translated several excerpts from Ivanhoe in the numbers 1-3 of the magazine Variedades, owned by the publisher Rudolph Ackermann. in these articles and other later writings, the translator praised Scott as a model for a new way of painting history in a narrative. This paper studies his ideas on Scott’s historical novel, as well as his translation technique, compared with that of José Joaquín de Mora. En 1820 se publicó en Edimburgo la primera edición de Ivanhoe; a romance. By the author of Waverley. Desde comienzos de 1823, en los tres primeros números de su revista Variedades, promovida por el editor Rudolph Ackermann, José María Blanco White tradujo varios fragmentos de Ivanhoe entre grandes elogios. Asimismo, Blanco White tomó a Scott como modelo de referencia de una nueva manera de pintar la historia por medio de la novela en otros varios escritos críticos de años posteriores. No full textEl propósito de ir mostrando la aproximación del joven Julio Enrique Blanco a la obra de Kant tiene un carácter temático y no está motivada por el simple hecho de leer a un autor importante. Debido a este interés por Kant, Julio Enrique Blanco se procuró, a través de un librero local, las obras principales del filósofo alemán en su idioma original. Luego se dio a la tarea de traducirlas al castellano. Para 1911, encontramos ya dos traducciones: “Prolegómenos a toda Metafísica del Porvenir”, y “De las Formas y Principios del Mundo sensible e inteligible”, esta última directamente del latín (es bueno aquí recordar que Blanco para estos años ya manejaba inglés, francés, griego y latín). PALABRAS CLAVES Filosofía, Filosofía Alemana, Kant, Blanco, Lógica, Metafísica, Pluscuankantismo. ABSTRACT The purpose of showing the approximation of the young Julio Enrique Blanco to Kant’s work has a theme and is not motivated by the simple act of reading an important author. Due to this interest by Kant, Julio Enrique Blanco sought, through a local bookseller, the main works of the German philosopher in their original language. Then it came his task of translating the Castilian. For 1911, we found two translations: «Prolegomena of any Future Metaphysics « and «The Methods and Principles of the sensible and intelligible World, the latter directly from Latin (it is good to remember here that for these years as White drove English French, Greek and Latin).
