Inacabamento e Cotidiano: um ensaio sobre o contista Marques Rebelo
No full textAo longo de sua trajetória como escritor, Marques Rebelo circulou pelos mais variados gêneros literários. A despeito disso, é notável sua inclinação para o conto, com o qual marcou sua estreia no mundo das letras com o volume intitulado Oscarina (1931), seguido por Três caminhos (1933) e Stela me abriu a porta (1942). Mas, mais do que isso: pelo ritmo ágil de suas narrativas e por seus desfechos abertos, é possível identificar o contista Marques Rebelo mesmo em seus romances, especialmente Marafa (1935) e A estrela sobe (1939). Nesse sentido, o presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a obra rebeliana produzida nesse período levando em consideração, por um lado, certo inacabamento da forma e, por outro, a dimensão da vida cotidiana em suas tramas. Nossa hipótese é a de que, em Rebelo, esses elementos não apenas se correlacionam como concorrem para uma literatura que lhe possibilita: a) escapar ao cânone ensaístico e sociológico – sem necessariamente confrontá-lo; b) criar para si mesmo uma espécie de entrelugar na história da literatura; c) puir qualquer linha hierárquica entre grandes e pequenos dramas humanos no devir histórico

DO PADRE OSMAR AO JOÃO REBELO; DO JOÃO REBELO AO ATENEU: NOTAS SOBRE O BATISMO DO BROCA
No full text01 de Maio de 1947. Assim conta a história oficial sobre a data de fundação da Associação Desportiva Ateneu, um dos mais importantes clubes de futebol da cidade de Montes Claros/MG. No entanto, ao pesquisarmos sobre a história do futebol local, as fontes registram outras possibilidades de entendimento no que tange à origem nominal da destacada equipe montes-clarense. Assim, conseguimos localizar o surgimento do Esporte Clube Padre Osmar como referência constitutiva do time que viria a se tornar Ateneu. O ano de 1941 marca a primeira aparição dessa entidade esportiva, localizada no periódico Gazeta do Norte (19.04.1941, p. 3), principal jornal local à época. De acordo com a nota jornalística, se enfrentaram na preliminar “[...] o juvenil do União e um combinado de ginasianos, vencida pelos ginasianos, que compunham o combinado Padre Osmar Novais, pela contagem de 3 x 1”. O combinado do Colégio Diocesano, intitulado de Padre Osmar Novais (professor do Colégio e grande incentivador de práticas esportivas da cidade) parece ter rendido frutos. Menos de 4 meses após a partida desse combinado, encontramos o anúncio do seguinte jogo: S. C. Padre Osmar x A. A. Vera Cruz (GAZETA DO NORTE, 09.08.1941, p. 2). Estava fundado o Sport Club Padre Osmar, equipe de futebol que se colocaria entre as principais referências futebolísticas da cidade. No entanto, no ano de 1947, ocorre o falecimento de um dos seus fundadores e também atleta do clube: João Rebelo. A sua prematura morte motiva, por homenagem, a mudança do nome da entidade esportiva para S. C. João Rebelo. Este continuaria sendo o nome, até que no ano de 1954, em função da inauguração do seu estádio próprio, a equipe passaria a se chamar Associação Desportiva Ateneu, migrando o nome de João Rebelo para o seu estádio. Todas estas alterações de nomes são indícios de importantes movimentos do futebol citadino, trazendo a reboque referências sobre a constituição desta prática esportiva durante o período analisado (1941-1954)
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Discomfort Threshold Evaluation for Hand and Elbow Regions: A Basis for Hand-Held Device Design
No full textThis study aimed to analyse the discomfort threshold (that could be linked to sensitivity or sensation) of different regions in hand and elbow to support hand-held devices' design. Indeed, there are no studies regarding the hand and elbow discomfort threshold or sensitivity. To overcome these literature gaps, the discomfort threshold of hand and elbow were recorded at 24 spots by pushing a cylinder with a diameter of 10 mm until the participants reported not to be longer comfortable. Experiments were performed with 24 participants, 13 females and 11 males. The results showed the map of discomfort threshold (or sensitivity) for the hand and elbow. The olecranon, situated at the ulna's upper (proximal) end, one of the two bones in the forearm, could withstand more pressure than the elbow area surrounding it. The fingertips and the area close to the metacarpals were most sensitive (lower discomfort threshold).Accepted Author ManuscriptMaterials and Manufacturin

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
