In the final project of Delta Liona Aritonang with the title Planning of Passenger Ship Design as a Means of Transportation in Batang Serai Village, the author has made a passenger ship design under the name M.V. Putri Hijau. The author has previously designed a line plan and general arrangement. The author's goal is to get construction calculations from the passenger ship M.V. Putri Hijau, get a construction profile picture on the passenger ship M.V. Putri Hijau.

No full textIlluminated manuscripts can be considered among the most valuable testimonies of the heritage of a culture, either from the artistic or the historical point of view. They are usually produced upon commission in order to disseminate scientific or religious values, or to attest to the wealth of certain rulers. They are also extremely fragile works of art, so that their conservation is an important issue for the museum or library personnel responsible for them. Information about the materials contained in these works – such as pigments, inks, and supports - is essential for determining a conservation protocol; hence the utility of chemical analysis. Thorough knowledge of such artworks can benefit enormously from the chemical analysis of the materials which comprise the miniatures, the inks and the supports. The analytical techniques available today allow one to obtain very important information using non-invasive or micro-invasive methods. Models of hybridization during range expansions and their application to recent human evolution
No full textSeveral lines of genetic, archeological and paleontological evidence suggest
that anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens) colonized the world
in the last 60,000 years by a series of migrations originating from Africa (e.g.
Liu et al., 2006; Handley et al., 2007; Prugnolle, Manica, and Balloux, 2005;
Ramachandran et al. 2005; Li et al. 2008; Deshpande et al. 2009; Mellars,
2006a, b; Lahr and Foley, 1998; Gravel et al., 2011; Rasmussen et al., 2011).
With the progress of ancient DNA analysis, it has been shown that archaic
humans hybridized with modern humans outside Africa. Recent direct analyses
of fossil nuclear DNA have revealed that 1–4 percent of the genome of Eurasian
has been likely introgressed by Neanderthal genes (Green et al., 2010; Reich
et al., 2010; Vernot and Akey, 2014; Sankararaman et al., 2014; Prufer et al.,
2014; Wall et al., 2013), with Papua New Guineans and Australians showing
even larger levels of admixture with Denisovans (Reich et al., 2010; Skoglund
and Jakobsson, 2011; Reich et al., 2011; Rasmussen et al., 2011). It thus appears
that the past history of our species has been more complex than previously
anticipated (Alves et al., 2012), and that modern humans hybridized several
times with local hominins during their expansion out of Africa, but the exact
mode, time and location of these hybridizations remain to be clarifi ed (Ibid.;
Wall et al., 2013). In this context, we review here a general model of admixture
during range expansion, which lead to some predictions about expected patterns
of introgression that are relevant to modern human evolution

No full textThe author in this article in a volume edited by himself and the colleague M.V. Fontana, devoted originally to the 75° birthday of Prof. U. Scerrato and later to his memory, is dealing with his archaeological activities beyond the frontiers of the Iranian Empires. In particular he is emphasizing the work made during the late 80s of the last Century in southern Turkmenistan and the first trial-trenches there conducted in 2001 and 2002 on a small tepe of the Yaz III horizon, and strategically located in a very crucial point of the Merv oasis. Furthermore the author is also giving a short note on the topographical work on the Bukhara oasis, conducted in 2000 and 2001 in collaboration with the Università degli Studi di Roma, La Sapienza, starting from the northern site of Vardanzeh to Bukhara and Pajkent
"Nye veje til succes": Et case-eksempel fra Nykredit Silkeborg
No full textPrivatafdelingen ved Nykredit Silkeborg stod i 2008 med store udfordringer. Salgsresultaterne pr. medarbejdertime lå i den laveste ende i benchmarkingen med Nykredits øvrige 47 afdelinger – samtidig havde man haft en relativ stor medarbejderudskiftning og stod med 5 nye, relativt uøvede medarbejdere i en samlet medarbejderstab på 12. Privatafdelingen i Silkeborg satte ind med firmaintern målrettet faglig opgradering og salgscoaching af hver enkelt medarbejdere. Flere medarbejdere tilkendegav dog i forløbet, at de savnede støtte til at kunne integrere og rumme de nye kommercielle redskaber. Nykredits egne målrettede faglige opdatering af medarbejderne og salgscoaching blev derfor i sidste kvartal 2008 suppleret med ekstern assistance fra Bent Warming-Rasmussen (ekspert i succeskriterier for vidensmedarbejdere og krops-psykoterapeut). Der blev indledt med et kursus for hele medarbejdergruppen i håndtering af tillid, intuition og stressmestring. Efterfølgende blev medarbejderne tilbudt frivillig individuel personlig opfølgning hos krops-psykoterapeuten– enten som massage, samtale eller en kombination (alt efter den enkelte medarbejders ønske) som personlig støtte. Afslutnings vis blev der i januar 2009 mellem ledelsen og medarbejderne holdt et gruppemøde, med det formål at nå fælles indbyrdes commitment til at nå nykredit Silkeborgs budgetmål. Resultatmålinger på både kvantitativ og kvalitative faktorer for første kvartal 2009 viste stor effekt af kombinationen af tiltagene. Omsætningen steg med 40% og i benchmarkingen forbedrede afdelingen sig med 18 pladser. Fokusmålingen på kvalitative forhold som trivsel m.v. viste bedste tal nogensinde i bankdirektørens ansættelsestid. En spørgeskemaundersøgelse blandt medarbejderne viser endvidere, at medarbejderne selv var meget tilfredse med den personlige individuelle opfølgning hos Bent Warming-Rasmussen. Medarbejdernes angav, at motivation til den personlige individuelle opfølgning med Bent Warming-Rasmussen især var ønsket om personlig udvikling. Analysen af svarene viser at der er en direkte sammenhæng mellem deres personlige udvikling og udvikling som dygtig vidensmedarbejder. Alle udtrykte stort udbytte af det personlige møde og ønskede regelmæssig opfølgning herpå med eksperten. Resultatet indikerer dermed, at tilbuddet om krops-psykoterapi er et effektivt supplement til faglig opgradering og salgscoaching – til gavn for både forretningen og medarbejderne
