Universitas Bina Darma merupakan salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Palembang yang telah menggunakan website dan internet sebagai media dalam komunikasi dan media informasi. Agar terciptanya media informasi yang lebih efektif dan efisien Universitas Bina Darma Palembang memiliki website beralamat www.binadarma.ac.id yang dapat diakses oleh mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih cepat dan update. Untuk mengukur kepuasan dan kemudahan pengguna website bagi pengguna, website perlu dilakukan evaluasi dilihat dari kemudahan untuk dipelajari, kemudahan untuk digunakan, kepuasan dan efisiensi dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengukuran kepuasan dapat menggunakan system usability scale. Pendapat dari Brooke (1996), System Usability Scale mempunyai 10 pernyataan sebagai alat pengujian dan tidak memerlukan jumlah sampel yang banyak. Hasil dari penilaian metode system usability scale ini akan memberikan masukan untuk pengembangan website ke depan agar lebih baik lagi

Quality of Service (QOS) digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kinerja koneksi jaringan internet yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualiatas layanan internet. tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah action reseach yaitu metode penelitian tindakan bertujuan bahwa teori dan praktik dapat   diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran dan penggunaan pengukuran  menggunakan  Axence NetTools5 yang digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi QOS jaringan. Adapun parameter yang digunakan dalam QOS meliputi throughput, packetloss, delay dan bandwidth.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan desain antarmuka pengguna (UI/UX) dalam pengolahan data di UPTD Pelabuhan Tanjung Api-Api Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan melalui penerapan metode Action Research. Melalui pendekatan ini, peneliti bekerja sama dengan praktisi dan pengguna sistem untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang ada, merencanakan perubahan desain UI/UX, dan melaksanakan tindakan perbaikan yang berkelanjutan. Metode Action Research terdiri dari empat tahap utama: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pada tahap perencanaan, masalah dalam desain UI/UX diidentifikasi dan tujuan penelitian ditetapkan. Selanjutnya, tindakan dilakukan dengan mengimplementasikan perubahan desain yang direncanakan. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai efektivitas perubahan tersebut.Melalui refleksi atau evaluasi, data yang dikumpulkan dievaluasi untuk menilai keberhasilan perubahan desain UI/UX dalam pengolahan data. Hasil evaluasi digunakan untuk membuat penyesuaian lebih lanjut dan merencanakan langkah selanjutnya.Dengan menggunakan metode Action Research, diharapkan desain UI/UX di UPTD Pelabuhan Tanjung Api-Api dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan. Hal ini akan membantu pengguna dalam mengelola data dengan lebih efisien, meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna, dan memperkuat citra lembaga sebagai pusat perhubungan yang modern dan inovatif.     PT. Sinergi Persada Medica (SPM) merupakan salah satu perusahan yang bergerak sebagai distributor berbagai jenis obat kesehatan yang berada di Propinsi Sumatera Selatan. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada PT. SPM adalah proses penentuan persiapan stok obat, dimana pencatatan stok obat yang berlangsung saat ini pada PT. SPM masih menggunakan buku stok sehingga data stok obat yang tersedia dan habis tidat tercatat dengan akurat. Selain itu, pencatatan stok obat secara manual ini juga tidak bisa dijadikan acuan untuk menentukan persiapan stok obat sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dibangun suatu sistem informasi menggunakan perhitungan Weighted Moving Average (WMA) dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP, dimana proses penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian action research. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan suatu sistem informasi peramalan persediaan untuk menentukan persiapan stok obat yang dibangun dengan Adobe Dreamweaver dan berbasis web, sehingga mudah digunakan dengan tampilan yang dinamis. Setelah itu, pengujian sistem informasi ini menggunakan bantuan localhost yang telah disediakan oleh program XAMPP serta dapat diakses menggunakan browser, dimana dari hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa sistem informasi ini dapat mengelola data obat, stok obat, data pelanggan hingga data permintaan obat yang digunakan sebagai acuan penentuan persiapan stok obat

    The Implementation of Top-Down Approach Method on Redesign of LAN Harvani Hotel Palembang

    In this research, the object was taken from one of the hotels in Palembang, namely Harvani Hotel Palembang. This hotel is one of the hotels in South Sumatra Province, where this hotel has 4 floors. Harvani Hotel Palembang has a Local Area Network (LAN) which consists of several computers. LAN is very important to be applied to Harvani Hotel Palembang in order to support administrative work processes (management of hotel data, employee data, guest data to financial data) and guest needs (internet usage in every room of the Hotel which is one of the services provided by Harvani Hotel Palembang). However, the LAN owned by the Harvani Hotel Palembang still has disadvantages, such as LAN still cannot reach every hotel room on the 2nd floor. In addition, the administration side also faces obstacles because each floor of the Harvani Hotel Palembang has its own administrative section and then at the end of each work shift, reports from each administrative section are submitted to the administrative department on the 1st floor using external storage media. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the Harvani Hotel Palembang LAN by applying the Top-Down Approach Method. The results of LAN redesign in this research will be displayed using Cisco Packet Tracer simulator software, where from the simulation results it can be seen that the new design of the Harvani LAN Hotel Palembang has connected the entire computer of each room and every floor of the Hotel. Therefore, if the results of this simulation are applied to Harvani Hotel Palembang, then the administrative work process can be managed directly because all data has been stored on the database server. Although it provided extensive benefits, the use of websites also brings security risks. Errors in coding and configuration can lead to vulnerabilities that can be exploited by irresponsible parties. This research aims to conduct a security analysis on the SIDESPIN website, owned by the Directorate of Innovation and Business Incubator of Bina Darma University. By applying vulnerability scanning techniques, this research identifies vulnerabilities, analyzes findings, and provides recommendations for improvement. In stages such as scoping, footprinting, vulnerability scanning, vulnerability analysis, and reporting, this research uses tools such as OWASP ZAP, Nikto, and Nessus.
