Inspecting How Different Students’ Personalities Affect Students' Performance in Calculus Practicum Courses Utilizing Peer Teaching Flipped Classroom Model
Calculus Practicum is an essential component of calculus courses. Calculus practicum is beneficial for enhancing calculus academic achievement by utilizing technology to accomplish calculus learning goals. Calculus is a concept that students must acquire through theory and practice. Students, on the other hand, are divided into two primary personality types: extroverts and introverts. The study process was influenced by students' personality types. The purpose of this research aimed to investigate the effect of students' personalities on their conceptual understanding abilities. Personality surveys and conceptual understanding assessments used as research instruments. According to research findings, students' conceptual understanding in calculus practicum courses is heavily influenced by personality category when employing the peer teaching flipped classroom model. Experiments such as peer teaching flipped classrooms demonstrate that extrovert students have superior conceptual understanding skills than introvert students. Creating videos and establishing class discussions has a big impact on extroverted students. They can deepen their skills while also sharing their information and understanding with their peers
THE RELEVANCE OF THE CRITICAL PARADIGM TOWARDS LEARNING DESIGN DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH BASED ON REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION
The paradigm in educational research is divided into several paradigms, namely positivism, interpretive and critical. The critical paradigm sees the relationship between the observer and reality as something that cannot be separated. This flow emphasizes the concept of subjectivity in finding a science. This view rejects the positivist and interpretative views which state that reality is value-free. Because this school holds that reality cannot be separated from the subject of the researcher, the values adopted by the subject also influence the truth of that reality. Data analysis is used related to journals and documents, based on data obtained and literature studies. The results show that understanding the development of learning design is seen using a critical paradigm. The theory used here uses learning design theory based on the fact that it has been clearly discovered by Plomp. The author's question here is: What is relationship between research development design Realistic Mathematics Education with a critical paradigm? And what is the relationship between teori and practical in development research of Realistic Mathematics Education
ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI STATISTIKA KELAS X
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kesulitan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi statistika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa kelas X DPIB 1 SMk Negeri 5 Padang yang terdaftar pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah kuota yang diinginkan sebanyak 20 siswa pada kelas X. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan tes dalam bentuk soal uraian sebanyak 4 butir soal yang keseluruhan mencangkup indikator kesulitan pemahaman konsep matematis yaitu dekomposisi, pengenalan pola, abstraksi, dan berpikir alogaritma. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh nilai rata-rata dari 20 siswa sebesar 38,75% dengan nilai minimum sebesar 0 dan nilai maksimum sebesar 100. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dapat dikategorikan menjadi 5 kategori yaitu pada kategori sangat baik dengan presentase 10%, kategori baik dengan presentase 15%, kategori cukup dengan presentase 15%, kategori rendah dengan presentase 25%, dan pada kategori sangat rendah dengan presentase 35%. Enhancing Flipped Classroom with Peer Teaching to Promote Students Conceptual Understanding and Self-Efficacy in Calculus Courses
Calculus differential is the basis of mathematics before entering the level of further mathematics, which has a high analysis level. Students have difficulty understanding concepts and have not been able to analyze/predict/realize (self-efficacy) that impact challenges in working on calculus problems. On the other hand, technology has been developed in education. It is offered as a solution to the issues, namely peer teaching flipped classrooms. This learning model is a technology-based approach to student centre learning. This research compared conventional flipped classrooms and peer teaching flipped classrooms. This research investigated the differences in students' conceptual understanding and self-efficacy in both classes in terms of majors’ background and prior achievement level. This research used a nonequivalent-group pretest and posttest design using flipped classroom method. The type of data in the study was quantitative, namely test and questionnaire. The ANCOVA results showed that the peer teaching flipped method was better than the conventional flipped classroom method in terms of students' conceptual understanding and self-efficacy. Moreover, self-efficacy had a positive correlation with conceptual understanding in both methods. ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 1 SIJUNJUNG
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Sijunjung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 pada kelas XI OTKP 1. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan akademik tinggi pada umumnya siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal yang berkaitan dengan indikator pemahaman konsep dengan baik dan benar. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan akademik sedang pada umumnya siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep dengan baik dan benar namun masih ada beberapa siswa yang tidak memberikan jawaban seperti pada indikator mengaplikasikan konsep/algoritma ke pemecahan masalah. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan rendah pada umumnya siswa dinyatakan kurang mampu menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep dengan baik dan benar dan hampir setengah dari jumlah siswa melakukan banyak kesalahan seperti pada indikator menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep/algoritma ke pemecahan masalah
INTEGRATING PEER TUTORING VIDEO WITH FLIPPED CLASSROOM IN ONLINE STATISTICS COURSE TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Online learning has become a solution in the field of education lately. Statistics is one of the subjects students must take at the university level. Learning statistics takes work for students. Based on the author's investigation, there are three obstacles to students in online learning: the constraints of students in understanding the material, the online learning process, and the assignment process. The sample in this study is a student with an Indonesian worker background in Taiwan, where they study online at night. Since an appropriate online learning method is needed to achieve student success, this study analyzes three online learning methods: conventional online learning, conventional flipping classes in online learning, and innovative flipped classrooms in online learning. This study investigates the three learning methods' results in differences in gender, job, and age. The results obtained indicate that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes in the three sample groups. Further analysis showed that the innovation of flipped classrooms in online learning significantly differs from the other two learning methods. Based on the type of job, there are differences in student learning outcomes taught in the conventional flipped classroom in online learning. It was also seen in the analysis of combining all student learning outcomes taught with online learning that there were differences in student learning outcomes regarding the job. A household assistant is better than a factory worker because students who work as household assistants have more flexible time to watch videos and repeat them than those who work as factory workers
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Investigasi Metode Perkalian Dua Bilangan untuk Siswa Kelas VII SMPN 1 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya
Salah satu materi dalam matematika yang penting untuk dipelajari oleh siswa adalah aljabar. Konsep aljabar didahului oleh aritmatika, Perkalian merupakan operasi dasar aritmatika utama yang harus dipelajari siswa setelah mempelajari operasi penambahan dan pengurangan. Perkalian merupakan alat hitung utama yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tetapi masih bayak ditemui siswa kesulitan dalam melakukan operasi perkalian sehingga mereka banyak mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari topik matematika yang lebih kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode perkalian untuk dua bilangan yang paling digemari oleh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 1 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan cara memberikan tes dan wawancara kepada siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas VIIB dalam mengerjakan soal perkalian dominan menggunakan metode perkalian bersusun dengan persentase 46% dan lattice multiplication method dengan persentase 36,7%. Selain itu siswa juga menggunakan metode perkalian lain walaupun tidak sebanyak metode perkalian bersusun dan lattice multiplication method, beberapa metode perkalian tersebut diantaranya japanese multiplication method dengan persentase 9.7%, eygiptian multiplication method dengan persentase 2.7%, Russian multiplication method dengan persentase 3.3%, dan vedic multiplication method dengan persentase 1%. Temuan ini dapat menjadi solusi agar siswa dapat memilih metode perkalian mana yang menurut siswa mudah dan disukai dalam pembelajaran matematika

The data in the district office is not stored properly, and there is no data management and technology-assisted data presentation. Implementation method by providing training and mentoring. The training provided is in the form of basic skills in using SPSS in presenting district population data. Its activities are training and assistance in presenting and processing data using the SPSS program in the Bungo Pasang District. The implementation of the service conducted interviews and provided questionnaires to find out the extent of the training participants\u27 understanding of the use of SPSS software. The service team explained the presentation of the data accurately and concisely. District employees are helped in understanding and processing data using this SPSS software. District officers find it helpful in their work with the applications taught
