Digital leadership:Developing digital literacies in schools in Indonesia for empowering education and advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs)
No full textThis study examines digital leadership in Indonesia, focusing on how leaders' interests, motivations, and challenges influence technology integration for online learning in schools. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research assesses the validity and reliability of a digital media literacy framework through an online survey of 577 teachers across Indonesia. The findings reveal that 61.5% of teachers enjoy using technology, and 65.5% are open to embracing its challenges. However, 43.2% face difficulties with technology integration due to limited technical skills and inadequate internet access. Only 23% effectively utilise technology in the classroom, and 25.8% feel comfortable using it. The study highlights significant gaps in digital literacy, underscoring the importance of effective digital leadership, improved communication, and targeted resources to address these challenges. This research is particularly relevant as it sheds light on the specific obstacles teachers encounter in adopting technology within Indonesia's educational context and offers strategies to enhance technology implementation and digital literacy in underdeveloped and remote areas. The study concludes that strong educational leadership and comprehensive support are essential to empower teachers to overcome digital challenges and maximise technology for improved teaching practices

Get PDFBanyak kajian yang membahas bagaimana cara menanamkan nilai moral dan agama anak usia dini (AUD), namun sulit menemukan kajian yang membahas apa sesungguhnya konsep dan capaian dari perkembangan moral dan agama AUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi orang tua tentang konsep dan capaian perkembangan moral AUD. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif eksploratif sebagai metode inkuiri, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur dan pengumpulan dokumen. Narasumber wawancara adalah 66 orang tua yang memiliki anak berusia 3-7 tahun, berdomisi di Jabodetabek. Teknik analisis data tematik digunakan dengan cara data dikodifikasi, klasifikasi, dan rektifasi untuk ditarik kesimpulan tema. Data menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan moral dan agama adalah pondasi dan pedoman hidup bagi AUD; moral dan agama adalah saling terkait dan tidak bisa dipisahkan; moralitas adalah akhlak, karakter, sopan santun dan ketaatan pada aturan; keberagamaan adalah kepercayaan kepada adanya Tuhan dan beribadah sesuai keyakinan; capaian pengembangan moral ditunjukkan dengan anak bersikap baik, sopan, mengikuti aturan; dan capaian pengembangan agama ditunjukkan oleh ketaatan beragama, mengenal Allah, dan rajin beribadah. Pemahaman akan konsep dan capaian akan menjadi rujukan dan landasan rancangan program penanaman nilai moral dan agama yang tepat guna dan metode yang efektif, di rumah maupun di lembaga pendidikan
Upaya Orang Tua dalam Mengembangkan Perilaku Prososial Anak Usia Dini
Get PDFPerilaku prososial merupakan aspek penting dari perkembangan sosial dan psikologis anak. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana upaya orang tua dalam mengembangkan perilaku prososial anak usia dini (AUD). Metode penelitian kualitatif eksploratif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Data dikumpulkan lewat wawancara dan pengumpulan dokumen. Dua puluh dua orang tua terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Data menunjukkan bahwa upaya mengembangkan perilaku prososial yang dilakukan orang tua adalah: 1) mencontohkan kepada anak perilaku prososial, 2) membiasakan anak berperilaku prososial, 3) mengajak anak berdikusi tentang perilaku prososial, 4) memberitahu dan menasehati anak untuk berperilaku prososial. Orang tua memegang peranan penting dalam pengembangan perilaku prososial anak. Untuk mendidik anak kasih sayang, sopan santun dan membantu orang lain secara optimal, maka kajian terkait isu ini penting dan dibutuhkan
Indonesian university students’ likes and dislikes about emergency remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic / Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem
Get PDFThis study aimed to analyze what university students in Indonesia liked and disliked about the emergency remote learning process, which was implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The case of Indonesia revealed what the majority of higher education institutions in developing countries faced during the COVID-10 period. This research used a qualitative phenomenological approach. There were 80 education students from the Faculty of Education state university in Jakarta, Indonesia who participated in the study. The inquiry consisted of a thorough study of participants' diaries of day-to-day learning and reflective essays and an online focus group of discussions. The results revealed what the students liked about learning from home during the COVID-19 crisis, which was grouped into three overarching themes of flexibility and efficiency, self-care and self-development, and learning new technology. What they disliked was grouped into three main themes: lack of structure, technological difficulties, and financial barriers. By knowing what students liked and disliked, we can try to reduce obstacles to their learning experience, and further improve the activities and features they liked. As a result, the quality of remote learning in this pandemic could be enhanced, and students' ability to study in any circumstances could be increased
