Estimation of extreme hydrodynamic environments of Puti Island wind farm in Bohai Sea
No full textIn order to manifest the extreme hydrodynamic environments for Puti Island wind farm in Bohai Sea, flow and wave climates in the area induced by cold waves are investigated. According to the historical meteorology statistics and taking the global climate change into account, three typical paths (NNE, ENE and NNW) with four high wind speeds for cold waves in Bohai Sea are presumed. After calibrated with field data, the Princeton Ocean Model (POM) and the third-generation wave model, SWAN, are employed to delineate possible extreme hydrodynamic conditions in the area of Puti Island wind farm. The dependence of the extreme current and water wave parameters to the wind speed and wind direction is investigated. The distribution of the extreme current and water wave parameters in the wind farm is discussed. © 2017 The Author(s)

The objective of this research was to study the feasibility and contribution of gambir farming system (o the farmer prosperity, and the constraint of developing gambirs farming system in this region. The research was conducted al Kelinggian villages, Harau f>ub District. 50 Kola District. West Sumatra in November 1999 using survey method. Thirty respondents were taken by simple random farmers income was analyzed through income analyses. While the feasibility of farming system was analyzed through Beneit Cost Ratio, Net Pesent Value (NPV), and Internal Rale of Retun (IRR). The results of feasibility analysis, based on discount factor of 15%. showed thai a gambir farming system at len years old had that B/C Ratio 1.22, NPV Rp. 3 657 433, and IRR 43% At discount factor of 18%. B/C ratio was 1.20, NPV was Rp 2 890 075, and IRR 43%. The share of gambir farming system to farmers income was Rp. 1 1 548 750 or Rp. I 154 875 per hectare per year Based on Ibis study, it was concluded that gambir farming system in Kelinggian Village. Harau Sub Distict, 50 Kota Dislriel was proitable and feasible lo be developed. Recently, the limited capital. becomes a problem for developing gambir farming. This resulted the farmers unable to adopt the technology for cultivation and processing. More over, the bargaining position of farmers is also weak, due to buycr- up system. It is, therefore, suggested that the Village Cooperative Unit (KUD) is supported, in order to supply the production inputs and the product
Analisis Tari Payung Di Sanggar Puti Limo Jurai Bukittinggi
No full textIn this study, the author discusses the Umbrella Dance at Sanggar Puti Limo Jurai which is a traditional dance based in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. This dance has a characteristic that describes the values of life of the people of the West Sumatra region with simple movements but contains ideas that are sourced from local culture and customs. This Umbrella Dance is bound by the norms and customary rules of the place where it is sheltered, namely in the City of Bukittinggi. The creator of this Umbrella Dance movement is named Oktavianus or commonly called 'Mak Boy' who is an alumnus of the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Padangpanjang. The Puti Limo Jurai Studio has special facilities to develop the talents of the local community in the fields of dance and music. In this study, the authors used observation, interview and direct observation techniques with Tommy Gusman as a trainer at the studio. In this analysis, the author examines the elements contained in Payung Dance such as motion, music, makeup, costumes, floor design, lighting and performance venues. This Umbrella Dance explains the drama of the love story of a pair of lovers, therefore this dance has movements that tend to be free and not too special like other traditional dances. When dancing the Umbrella Dance, two accompaniment elements will be accompanied, namely the wasps of traditional musical instruments and the poem or song "Babendi-bendi to the Tatang river". The musical accompaniment consists of the Malay drum, bansi, melodic talempong, tambua and chord talempong. The tempo and rhythm of the music must match the dance. So it can be concluded that this Umbrella Dance tells about the couple having the meaning of affection and protection for their lover. This dance is performed by two or four people in pairs using umbrellas and scarves. The male dancer symbolizes the protective figure who is the main pillar of the family. While the shawl worn by female dancers depicts the sacred bond of love from a partner which is often interpreted as the loyalty of a woman to build a household. So this dance tells about humans in the Minangkabau tribe who live in pairs and even though they are in love, they still adhere to predetermined customs

Should Russia strive to become a 'Western' country marked by democracy and a market economy serving the individual interests of its citizens, or was it more important to become a great power again? Are Western patterns of political and economic life suitable for Russia or is the attempt to import foreign institutional structures doomed for failure, making it necessary for Russia to find her own way? This type of question, going far beyond the realm of economics, was and still is at the heart of the debate among Russian economists, which shall be discussed here, on the basis of a qualitative content analysis of the most important economic journals and selected monographs. --
Predicting Consumers’ Brand Sentiment Using Text Analysis on Reddit
Get PDFWith the emergence of data privacy regulations around the world (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), practitioners of Internet marketing, the largest digital marketing channel, face the trade-off between user data protection and advertisement targeting accuracy due to their current reliance on PII-related social media analytics. To address this challenge, this research proposes a predictive model for consumers’ brand sentiment based entirely on textual data from Reddit, i.e. fully compliant with current data privacy regulations. This author uses natural language processing techniques to process all post and comment data from the r/gadgets subreddit community in 2018 – extracting frequently-discussed brands and products through named entity recognition, as well as generating brand sentiment labels for active users in r/gadgets through sentiment analysis. This research then uses four supervised learning classifiers to predict brand sentiments for four brand clusters (Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and Google) based on the self-identified characteristics of Reddit users. Across all four brand clusters, the predictive model proposed by this research achieved a ROC AUC score above 0.7 (three out of the four above 0.8). This research thus shows the predictive power of self-identified user characteristics on brand sentiments and offers a non-PII-required consumer targeting model for digital marketing practitioners

In the implementation of this game applications, the author uses Visual Basic 6 application as a programming language, whereas for the processing of the data base using Microsoft Office Access 2003. System development method used is waterfall model. For the analysis and design of systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
The results of this research is already built gaming applications can be used as a media English language learning with the theme of learning through play. The application of this game is expected to help improve English language learning process, especially in memorizing English vocabulary.Di Indonesia mempelajari bahasa Inggris masih merupakan sesuatu yang sangat sulit dan bahkan terkadang menakutkan bagi beberapa siswa/siswi. Padahal bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa internasional. Dari hasil survey dengan memberikan koesioner kepada siswa/siswi Sekolah Menengah Pertama tentang pelajaran bahasa Inggris. Rata-rata dari mereka menjawab menyukai mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris tetapi mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar bahasa Inggris terutama dalam menulis dan menghafal kosa kata.
Dalam pengimplementasian aplikasi game ini, penulis menggunakan aplikasi Visual Basic 6 sebagai bahasa pemrogramannya, sedangkan untuk pengolahan basis datanya menggunakan Microsoft Office Access 2003. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah model waterfall. Untuk analisis dan perancangan sistem menggunakan metode Unified Modeling Language (UML).

ULOGA VOJKA MIKLAUŠIĆA U OBLIKOVANJU TRADICIJSKE KULTURE TUROPOLJA
Get PDFVojko Miklaušić was an enthusiast who collected and noted down material about the various aspects of the Turopolje folk culture during a seventeen year period, especially the cultural heritage of Donja Lomnica. His book Plemeniti puti was published thirty years after he passed away. The everyday life of the Turopolje peasant at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century was described on page 360. By analyzing the book Plemeniti puti, the paper's author elaborates on its role in preserving and promoting the local cultural identity. Urbanization and globalization processes rapidly dissolve the frames of traditional cultures and create new reality – especially that of Turopolje which is geographically positioned on the fringes of the largest urban area in Croatia – the town of Zagreb, and is thereby subject to the mentioned influences. Changes of life styles cause the disappearance of ties between generations within a community, and the traditional manner of handing over knowledge, crafts and customs is lost in the process of cultural identity redefinition. Therefore, the fundamental value of the book Plemeniti puti is to provide available knowledge on Turopolje's cultural traditions.
The cultural identity of Turopolje is based firstly in the collective consciousness about the area where free people, nobles had always lived. The efforts through many centuries to preserve freedom and tribal tradition had influenced the forming of a closed community not inclined to make way for changes, a community that is up to present times following tradition in a persistant manner.
The idea of this paper is to position the ethnographic heritage of Vojko Miklaušić into the context of contemporary views aiming to protect local cultural identity.Vojko Miklaušić entuzijast je koji je sedamnaest godina skupljao i bilježio narodnu kulturu Turopolja, a posebno kulturnu baštinu Donje Lomnice. Trideset godina nakon njegove smrti objavljena je knjiga Plemeniti puti. Na 360 stranica predstavljena je svakodnevica turopoljskog seljaka na prijelazu iz 19. u 20. stoljeće. Analizom knjige Plemeniti puti, u ovom radu razmatra se njena uloga u očuvanju i promicanju lokalnog kulturnog identiteta. Urbanizacija i globalizacijski procesi ubrzano rastaču okvire tradicijskih kultura i kreiraju nove stvarnosti – pogotovu Turopolja, koje je geografski smješteno na rubnim dijelovima najveće urbane sredine u Hrvatskoj - Zagreba, podložno spomenutim utjecajima. Promjenama životnih stilova nestaju međugeneracijske veze unutar zajednice, redefiniranjem njena kulturnog identiteta ujedno se gubi i tradicionalni način prenošenja znanja, vještina i običaja. Stoga je temeljna vrijednost knjige Plemeniti puti da osigurava dostupnost znanja o kulturnim tradicijama Turopolja.
Kulturni identitet Turopolja utemeljen je, prije svega, u kolektivnoj svijesti o prostoru na kojem su oduvijek živjeli slobodni ljudi, plemići. Višestoljetno nastojanje da se sačuvaju slobode i plemenske tradicije utjecalo je na formiranje zatvorene zajednice nesklone promjenama, zajednice koja uporno slijedi tradiciju sve do današnjih dana.
Ideja ovoga rada pozicioniranje je etnografske ostavštine Vojka Miklaušića u kontekst suvremenih pogleda koji se zalažu za zaštitu lokalnih kulturnih identiteta

This research was conducted at the Frozen Food Distribution Store located at Rajawali Timur Street No. 68, Ciroyom, Andir, Bandung City, West Java 40182. Frozen Food Distribution Store is a trading company, selling products in the form of Frozen Food types. The method to be used in the implementation of research is the descriptive method is the process of solving problems that will be researched by describing situations that are objects or subjects. There are three data collections, namely, observation, interview and literature review. The author made the design of this application based on the website, the purpose of making this information system is expected that this system will help in carrying out daily activities in trading at the Frozen Food Distribution Store. The use of this information system is to manage inventory well with inventory cards. The results of the author\u27s research on frozen food distribution stores do not yet have a merchandise inventory information system in which financial statements are made, the information system is made to have inventory card features to financial reporting and receive income statements every month to see profits, according to applicable accounting standards.
