No full textEl objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es establecer la relación de la mediación de lectura y el desarrollo de competencias del área de comunicación en los estudiantes del VII ciclo de la institución educativa Rosa Irene Infante de Canales del distrito de San Miguel; organizada bajo los procedimientos cuantitativos, con un tipo básico, el cual tiene diseño no experimental con un alcance correalcional de recojo de información transversal, los participantes fueron 120 estudiantes de población del VII ciclo, y una muestra por conveniencia de 54 estudiantes, a quienes se les aplicó cuestionarios para ambas variables, y en la prueba de hipótesis se utilizó el coeficiente de correlación rho de Spearman, y se llegó a concluir: La mediación de lectura se relaciona de manera directa, alta y significativa con el desarrollo de las competencias del área de comunicación en los estudiantes del VII ciclo de la institución educativa, Rosa Irene Infante de Canales del distrito de San Miguel; habiéndose obtenido un rho de Spearman igual a 0,720 y un p=0,000.The objective of this research work is to establish the relationship of reading mediation and the development of communication skills in students of the VII cycle of the Rosa Irene Infante de Canales educational institution in the district of San Miguel; organized under quantitative procedures, with a basic type, which has a non-experimental design with a correlational scope of cross-sectional information collection, the participants were 120 students from the VII cycle population, and a convenience sample of 54 students, to whom questionnaires were applied for both variables, and in the hypothesis test the Spearman's rho correlation coefficient was used, and it was concluded: Reading mediation is directly, highly and significantly related to the development of communication skills in students of the VII cycle of the Rosa Irene Infante de Canales educational institution in the district of San Miguel; having obtained a Spearman's rho equal to 0.720 and a p = 0.000.Metodologías y evaluación educativ
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. sociales y la agresión en estudiantes de la institución educativa Rosa Irene
Infantes de San Miguel, Lima.201 3
La metodología que se utilizó para demostrar la hipótesis es con el enfoque
explicativo y el diseño de la investigación fue cuasi experimental.
La muestra estuvo constituida 40 estudiantes del nivel de secundaria, a
quienes se les aplicó los Ítems de Agresividad Física y Verbal por Coprera y
Pastorelli (1993) a las dos secciones 1 A con 20 estudiantes y 1 C con 20
estudiantes en el Pre test, a una sección se le aplico el programa de
habilidades sociales “Mejorando la convivencia escolar” al final se le volvió a
tomar un pos test.
Los hallazgos indicaron que existe una relación muy significativa entre las
habilidades sociales y la agresividad (p < 0,01), además, cuanto más
habilidades sociales menos agresión

El problema que se investigó fue: ¿Qué relación hay entre los medios
audiovisuales y el aprendizaje de la escritura del idioma inglés en alumnas del
quinto grado del nivel secundario de la I.E. Rosa Irene Infantes de Canales, San
Miguel- Lima, 2012?
Es una investigación aplicada con un diseño correlacional. La muestra estuvo
conformada por 44 alumnas de sexo femenino, a quienes se les aplicó dos
encuestas denominadas: a) “Trabajando con Audiovisuales” que trató sobre los
medios audiovisuales en el aprendizaje de la escritura del idioma inglés, y b) “Me
Gusta Escribir” relacionada al aprendizaje de la escritura del idioma inglés; ellas
fueron seleccionadas de forma aleatoria al azar de un total de 98 alumnas del
quinto grado del nivel secundario de la I.E. Rosa Irene Infantes de Canales, San
Miguel – Lima. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó Encuestas - Cuestionarios.
Dichos instrumentos permitieron conocer y reflexionar sobre la relación que
existe entre los medios audiovisuales y el aprendizaje de la escritura del idioma
inglés. Los instrumentos fueron validados y sometidos a pruebas de confiabilidad.
Los resultados de las encuestas fueron analizados a través del paquete de
análisis estadísticos para las Ciencias Sociales SPSS (Versión 20), y mediante
el Coeficiente de Correlación Pearson. Los resultados arrojaron una relación
positiva alta y significativa entre los medios audiovisuales y el aprendizaje de la
escritura del idioma inglés
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
