    Keyword : message packaging, message engineering, local wisdom, Risalah al-Islamiyah, cultural communication The background of research is starting to interest about Islamisation in Indonesia, especially in Java by Walisongo, the Nine Saint-Communities. In Reallity, Islam is growing very fast in Java compare its development at the other continent, in Middle Asia, North Africa and Western Europe. The second interest, the Islamisation in Java by Walisongo is very limited studied from the perspective of communication science. The obyective of this research is trying to know both : how cultural communication strategy and how the message engineering Risalah al-Islamiyah (even more methods of propaganda) employed by Walisongo on communication perspective. As we know that the theory of communication assume that difference of frame reference between communicators dan communicant on communication actions, become the barriers. Based on that assumptions, the results of this study are expected to refine a new asumption theory of communication. Analytical methods to solve the problems, used a critical interpretation through three stages analyzing, as follows: 1. Analyzing of cultural communication strategy 2. Analyzing message engineering 3. Elaboate a new theorytical assumption. The conclusion of this research, for the firs problem is, that the cultural communication strategy for mission sacre by Walisongo, is try to package the Islamic doctrine based on indigenous, Javanesse wisdom, namely pangruwatan. Pangruwatan as cultural communication strategy is a form the message packaging of the Islamic doctrine via javanesse ritualism. Pangruwatan question is removal the bad doctrine principles of life (name in Javanesse term Sengkala) and trying to replace with a new doctrine, generally through the ritual of performance of a puppet show. Pangruwatan as a form of traditional ritual to achieve a good quality of life and just the same with Islamic teachings, wich also promises a better quality of life during of life and in paradise.The results of analyzing concluded that Indonesia (especially Java) have a strategy and tactics to communicate, rather than communication strategies and tactics used by nations of the Western world. The second problem posted, that is also led to the discovery of a new theoretical assumption, which states, one hand to strengthen existing theoretical assumptions, and on the other hand, refining existing theoretical assumptions. Some theoretical assumptions are supported, firstly, assumpsion that a successful communication act by professional communicators, which has a high credibility vis a vis the communicant. Secondly, that skills in communication, such as empathy (empan-papan) will be able to minimize noise and distortion in the communication action. Thirdly, successful communication action can not be separated from the sociocultural background of the communicant. Theoretical assumptions have been discovered in this researh, perfected rather than reject the existing theoretical assumptions, based on assumption “that the different frame of reference of participant communication become the barrier of communication.” The study concluded or propose a new assumption, that barrier of communication on communication action, due to differences in cultural frame of reference and the settings can be controlled through the capabilities of communicator.     Nano power diplomacy is a diplomacy done by individuals and small groups, without bargaining and negotiating. Diplomacy without theoretical and scientific approaches, because it is just a small nod (actor unit) that does not carry a real-power set. Nano power diplomacy is an activity that emphasizes sharing of symbols between citizens, person to person direct contact. That is, nano power diplomacy is a diplomacy practice based on socio-cultural relations between people, between cultures, which tries to overcome differences and cultural barriers in building an equitable human community, such as race, ethnicity, customs, language, social level -economy, skin color and differences of trust and religion. A truly initiated diplomacy by the individual, which does not speak of conflict mediation and economic perspective, without bilateral, multilateral and summit meeting typologies, but diplomacy that emphasizes interpersonal communication and public communication. There is no secrecy, hidden agendas and transparencies, because every participant in nano power diplomacy is a human being who is born by a product of the same destiny, namely God the Creator. They multiply, eat and drink of the same type. They also have a lifestyle in much the same way.     Perbedaan latarbelakang budaya partisipan komunikasi merupakan suatu keadaan dan konfliktehingga yang sangat peka komunikasi bagi munculnyatidakkesalahpahaman berlangsung secara optimal. Hasil komunikasi yang diperoleh darinya pun tidak seperti yang diharapkan, bahkan tidak jarang justru menumbuhkan benih-benih konflikti kemudian hari yangmelahirkan ketidakharmonisan dan kekerasan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya kenyataan bahwa komunikasi multi kultur sering kali disertai oleh persepsi negatif para partisipan komunikasi, baik yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor stereotipe dan etnosentrisme yang sudah merasuk dalam mentalpartisipan sejak masih kanak-kanak maupun pengaruh oleh sentimensentimen etnis, rasial, agama, golongan dan sentimen sosial lain seperti ketimpangan tingkat sosial ekonomi. Dalam buku ini pembaca akan menemukan cara-cara berkomunikasi secara harmonis untuk mengoptimalkan hasil komunikasi dan mengatasi beberapa hambatan budaya dalam berkomunikasi.     Diplomasi budaya adalah bentuk diplomasi yang mengangkat materi seni-budaya, baik berupa seni pertunjukan, seni tari, seni pedalangan, seni suara atau seni bela diri, termasuk kuliner, sebagai bahan atau materi untuk diplomasi. Diplomasi budaya, merupakan bentuk halus dari hubungan antar negara, dan  memiliki peran penting dalam ikut menyumbangkan perannya bagi perdamaian dunia. Oleh sebab itu, diplomasi budaya digunakan sebagai upaya untuk mencapai tujuan nasional melalui cara-cara yang lebih lunak. Oleh karena itu, diplomasi budaya juga disebut sebagai soft power diplomacy. Tulisan ini untuk menjelaskan salah satu praktik soft power diplomacy yang dilakukan oleh aktor non-negara, yaitu pengalaman individu penulis sendiri, utamanya menggunakan wayang kulit, kuliner dan batik. Penggunaan ketiga produk budaya Indonesia ini didasarkan pada hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan mengenai pentingnya diplomasi berbasis kearifan lokal, antara lain berjudul "Diplomasi Multi-jalur Berbasis Genius Lokal. ". Isinya antara lain adalah wayang kulit dan jenis seni-budaya lainnya, seperti kuliner dan seni sastra, dapat diangkat sebagai metode pembelajaran dalam domain hubungan internasional. Selain sebagai alat diplomasi, penggunaan wayang, kuliner dan batik juga diimplementasikan sebagai wahana praktik diplomasi kebudayaan, sekaligus sebagai upaya pelestarian seni dan budaya khas bangsa Indonesia. Kata kunci : seni, batik, budaya, diplomasi, wayang kulit , soft power

    Preference of media politics and beginner voter trust in Surakarta

    The Indonesian Presidential Elections of 2014 and 2019 indicated the behavioral changes in mass media, especially that of private television. The involvement of media owners in the political arena can influence the content of most journalistic broadcasts. Therefore, this study aims to determine the perception of student voters in Surakarta on media houses with political preferences. This might be because the media owner is actively supporting a political party or a particular candidate. Furthermore, if the media is under the influence of politics, how can voters have trust in the information dissipated, especially during elections. The data obtained for this study was through the distribution of questionnaires to college students aged 17-25 years that are voting for the first time. Most of the respondents stated that their political choices are not necessarily influenced by the media. The belief in the media is not directly related to political preferences but depends on the content or what is conveyed to the public. However, the involvement of media owners in politics also undermines public trust in the content of the media, especially about political news

    This paper departs from the fact that capitalism has reached the stage of complete domination and hegemony. Art products, the art market, and creators are strongly influenced by the ups and downs of the market, the atmosphere and monetary stability, and market players such as auction houses, curators, collectors, collectors, art dealers, patronage, and the mass media. In such a position, it raises the question of how the position of the creator and his work in dealing with enthusiasts and observers of art, markets, and capitalism. News sources are now numberless. In the face of information with the meaning that is not valid, distorted facts, lie packed with goodness, then the public is also often victims of the information. Communicators, Participants, both Agency and Structure, becoming a multi-sources. Difficult to determine the source is credible.
