The Comparison of Jokowi and Prabowo Subianto Exposed on YouTube
Get PDFThis article reviews the exposure ratio of Jokowi and Prabowo in the YouTube channel. Joko Widodo’s alias, Jokowi, is the President of the Republic of Indonesia 2014-2019. He will re-join the 2019 presidential election, while Prabowo Subianto is a challenger who is supported by the Gerindra Party and the Prosperous Prosperity Party. The analytical method uses the semiotic concept of Strauss and John Fiske, who view the video as a sign system. The sign system is parsed through five political codes: lifestyle, transfer of power, existence, ideology and vision. This study finds that, in general, Jokowi's videos were more visited and preferred than Prabowo's videos, but Prabowo excelled in the transfer code of power, existence and ideology. In the video, Jokowi tends to impress himself as a person who has several characters. As the President of Indonesia, Jokowi displays a diligent character. As a political activist, Jokowi reinforces his ideology as a nationalist. As a citizen, Jokowi imitates the figure who adheres to the values of tradition As a man, Jokowi impressed himself as a humanist. Prabowo tends to feature a lavish lifestyle with equestrian sport with a historical background of the descendants of an economic Democrat Prof Sumitro Djojohadikusumo and associates himself like Soekarno. Prabowo tends to show his affiliation to the right Islamists. The contestation of the 2019 presidential election followed by Jokowi and Prabowo will show the battle of two different sources of legitimacy
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Speech Function in the Withdrawal Speech of Prabowo-hatta on the Indonesia Presidential Election 2014-2019

Theobjectives of this research were to find out the types of speech function and todescribe the implication of the most dominant type of speech function. Thisresearch was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The data were 55clauses taken from the withdrawal speech of Prabowo-Hatta on the Indonesiapresidential election 2014-2019 which were collected by applying documentarytechnique. The three types of speech function occurred in this speech, namelystatement (87,3%) , offer (1,8%), and command (10,9%). The most dominant typeof speech function was statement. The implication of using statement dominantlywas Prabowo-Hatta can declare all of aspects that they consider as their evidencesthat to prove their argumentation to withdraw from Indonesia presidential election2014-2019. The dominant statement also made more powerful speech to influencethe public opinion that will realize Prabowo-Hatta has already known about theincident occurred in Indonesia Presidential Election 2014-2019. No full textThis paper examines the motives of the independent volunter's support toward the electability of Prabowo-Sandi in the 2019 presidential election. There three motives which will be used as the indicators: incentive-material motive, incentive-solidarity motive, and incentive-idealism motive. The Indonesian Millennial Movement (GMI) is being the selected case of the research because this organization is one of the active independent movements among millennials which campaigns for the electability of Prabowo-Sandi to the public in Yogyakarta Special Region. It is a qualitative research by applying the case study approach to find out the motives of GMI's support in winning Prabowo-Sandi in the 2019 presidential election. Documentary and in-depth interview were utilized as the data-gathering. The finding demonstrates that GMI combines all three motives in supporting the candidate. Thus, GMI had a mix incentive motive as its strategy to support Prabowo-Sandi. Nonetheless, incentive-solidarity motive was the most frequently applied by GMI among other motives

Get PDFSkripsi ini berjudul “Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Berita Hoax Ratna Sarumpaet pada Elektabilitas Prabowo Subianto Calon Presiden 2019 (Studi Pada Masyarakat Tegal Binangun Lorong Swadaya RT.12 RW.04 Kelurahan Plaju Darat)”. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi masyarakat terhadap berita hoax Ratna Sarumpaet pada elektabilitas Prabowo Subianto Calon Presiden 2019 di Tegal Binangun Lorong Swadaya RT.12 RW.04 Kelurahan Plaju Darat Kota Palembang. Ratna Sarumpaet yang saat itu merupakan juru kampanye Prabowo Subianto Calon Presiden 2019 telah membuat isu hoax dengan mengaku dianiaya oleh orang yang tak dikenal sehingga menggiring opini publik. Namun setelah polisi menyelidiki peristiwa tersebut terdapat beberapa kejanggalan sehingga tepat setelah polisi mengadakan konfrensi pers, Ratna Sarumpaet pun mengakui bahwa apa yang telah menimpa dirinya adalah sebuah kebohongan besar. Maka hal ini beradampak pada elektabilitas Prabowo Subianto yang saat itu mengkonfirmasi kejadian tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini masyarakat dengan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 35 orang yang dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Suharsimi Arikunto yang dikelola menggunakan SPSS Versi 23 dan persentasi yang sederhana. Dilihat dari kajian observasi dan penelitian (Fild Research) dengan menggunakan teori Elaboration Likelihood Theory. Menurut Teori Kemungkinan Elaborasi (Elaboration Likelihood Theory) Richard Petty dan John Cacioppo menjelaskan bahwa keputusan dibuat bergantung pada jalur yang ditempuh dalam memproses sebuah pesan. Dari hasil pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 23, diperoleh hasil besarnya hubungan antara kedua variabel diperoleh nilai R square sebesar 0.603 (60.3%) dan termasuk dalam kategori kuat. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Berita Hoax Ratna Sarumpaet pada Elektabilitas Prabowo Subianto Calon Presiden 2019 di masyarakat Lorong Swadaya RT.12 RW. 04 Kelurahan Plaju Darat. Karena dengan adanya isu hoax yang dibuat Ratna Sarumpaet mempengaruhi persepsi masyrakat terhadap elektabilitas Prabowo Subianto
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
