KONSTRUKSI PASANGAN CALON DALAM PILGUB JATENG 2008 OLEH MEDIA MASSA (KASUS PEMBERITAAN JAWA POS RADAR SEMARANG DAN SUARA MERDEKA)
Pilgub Jateng 2008 adalah pemilihan kepala daerah langsung pertama yang
terjadi di Jawa Tengah. Ada lima pasangan yang mencalonkan diri sebagai
gubernur-wakil gubernur. Mereka adalah Bambang Sadono-M. Adnan (Partai
Golkar), Agus Soeyitno-Kholiq Arif (PKB), Sukawi Sutarip-Sudharto (Partai
Demokrat-PKS), Bibit Waluyo-Rustriningsih (PDI-P) dan HM. Tamzil-Rozaq
Rais (PPP-PAN). Mekanisme pemilihan langsung berakibat jarak antara pasangan
calon dengan pemilih menjadi semakin dekat sehingga setiap pasangan calon
dituntut untuk memanfaatkan media dalam membangun citra positif. Dalam hal
ini peran media sebagai sarana komunikasi politik menjadi cukup vital. Bagi
pasangan calon, media adalah sarana strategis untuk menyebarluaskan pesan
politik kepada khalayak. Media sebagai salah satu sumber informasi bagi
masyarakat harus mampu menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik dengan berpegang
pada netralitas. Namun, dalam operasionalnya media selalu dipengaruhi faktor
internal dan eksternal yang membuat mereka tidak dapat sepenuhnya objektif.
Media bukanlah institusi yang bebas nilai. Isi media tidaklah merefleksikan
realitas yang ada namun mengkonstruksikan serangkaian fakta yang terjadi.
Metode triangulasi digunakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana harian Jawa
Pos Radar Semarang dan Suara Merdeka mengkonstruksikan masing-masing
pasangan calon. Juga untuk mengetahui kecenderungan pemberitaan serta politik
redaksional masing-masing media. Objek penelitian yang dipilih adalah beritaberita
tentang pasangan calon di harian Jawa Pos Radar Semarang dan Suara
Merdeka pada halaman satu dan rubrik khusus selama 26 Maret-22 Juni 2008.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harian Jawa Pos Radar Semarang
berusaha responsif dengan isu-isu politik memberikan konstruksi yang favorable
kepada pasangan Agus Soeyitno-Kholiq Arif, Bibit Waluyo-Rustriningsih dan
HM. Tamzil-Rozaq Rais. Sebaliknya, mereka memberikan konstruksi
unfavorable kepada pasangan Bambang Sadono-M. Adnan dan Sukawi Sutarip-
Sudharto. Sedangkan Suara Merdeka memilih gaya pemberitaan yang aman dan
tidak tendesius kepada masing-masing pasangan calon. Hasilnya, mereka
cenderung mengkonstruksikan pasangan Bambang Sadono-M. Adnan, Bibit
Waluyo-Rustriningsih dan HM. Tamzil-Rozaq Rais dengan bingkai yang
favorable. Sedangkan pasangan Agus Soeyitno-Kholiq Arif dan Sukawi Sutarip-
Sudharto dalam bingkai unfavorable.

Statistical Models for Unsupervised Learning of Morphology and POS Tagging
This thesis concentrates on two fields in natural language processing. The main contribution of the thesis is in the field of morphology learning. Morphology is the study of how words are formed combining different language constituents (called morphemes) and morphology learning is the process of analysing words, by splitting into these constituents. In the scope of this thesis, morphology is learned mainly by paradigmatic approaches, in which words are analysed in groups, called paradigms. Paradigms are morphological structures having the capability of generating various word forms. We propose approaches for capturing paradigms to perform morphological segmentation. One of the approaches proposed captures paradigms within a hierarchical tree structure. Using a hierarchical structure covers a wide range of paradigms by spotting morphological similarities.
The second scope of the thesis is part-of-speech (POS) tagging. Parts-of-speech are linguistic categories, which group words having similar syntactic features, i.e. noun, adjective, verb etc. In the thesis, we investigate how to exploit POS tags to learn morphology. We propose a model to capture paradigms through syntactic categories. When syntactic categories are provided, the proposed system can capture paradigms well. Following this approach, we extend it for the case of having no syntactic categories provided. To this end, we propose a joint model, in which POS tags and morphology are learned simultaneously. Our results show that a joint model is possible for learning morphology and POS tagging.
We also study morpheme labelling, for which we propose a clustering algorithm that groups morphemes showing similar features. The algorithm can capture morphemes having similar meanings
Studies of relativistic jets in active galactic nuclei with SKA
Relativistic jets in active galactic nuclei (AGN) are among the most powerful astrophysical objects discovered to date. Indeed, jetted AGN studies have been considered a prominent science case for SKA, and were included in several different chapters of the previous SKA Science Book (Carilli & Rawlings 2004). Most of the fundamental questions about the physics of relativistic jets still remain unanswered, and await high-sensitivity radio instruments such as SKA to solve them. These questions will be addressed specially through analysis of the massive data sets arising from the deep, all-sky surveys (both total and polarimetric flux) from SKA1. Wide-field verylong-baseline-interferometric survey observations involving SKA1 will serve as a unique tool for distinguishing between extragalactic relativistic jets and star forming galaxies via brightness temperature measurements. Subsequent SKA1 studies of relativistic jets at different resolutions will allow for unprecedented cosmological studies of AGN jets up to the epoch of re-ionization, enabling detailed characterization of the jet composition, magnetic field, particle populations, and plasma properties on all scales. SKA will enable us to study the dependence of jet power and star formation on other properties of the AGN system. SKA1 will enable such studies for large samples of jets, while VLBI observations involving SKA1 will provide the sensitivity for pc-scale imaging, and SKA2 (with its extraordinary sensitivity and dynamic range) will allow us for the first time to resolve and model the weakest radio structures in the most powerful radio-loud AGN.Space EngineeringAerospace Engineerin
POS-BERT: Point cloud one-stage BERT pre-training[Formula presented]
Recently, the pre-training paradigm combining Transformer and masked language modeling in BERT has achieved tremendous success not only in NLP, but also in images and point clouds. However, directly extending BERT from NLP to point clouds requires first training a discrete Variational AutoEncoder (dVAE) as the tokenizer, which results in a complex two-stage process, as in Point-BERT. Inspired by BERT and MoCo, we propose POS-BERT, a one-stage BERT pre-training method for point clouds. Specifically, we use the masked patch modeling (MPM) task to perform point cloud pre-training, which aims to recover masked patch information under the supervision of a tokenizer's output. Unlike Point-BERT, whose tokenizer is extra-trained and frozen, we propose a momentum tokenizer which is dynamically updated during training the Transformer. Furthermore, in order to better learn high-level semantic representation, we integrate contrastive learning into the proposed framework to maximize the class token consistency between augmented point cloud pairs. Experiments show that POS-BERT achieves the state-of-the-art performance on linear SVM classification of ModelNet40 with fixed feature extractors, and it exceeds Point-BERT by 3.5%. In addition, POS-BERT has significantly improved many downstream tasks, including fine-tuned classification, few-shot classification and part segmentation. Along with the development of communication device which more sophisticated and modern, PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) has to restructure, reform, and transform. Hence, that mail and delivery service through post remains used and preferred by community. There are many things to do by the customers, this is the reason why PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) Kantor Pos II Semarang is always crowded by customers. Therefore, it’s important to analyze queuing system that describe the condition of service line and measures of performance of four types of service counters in PT Pos Persero (Ltd.) Kantor Pos II Semarang, those are Postage counter, Special Delivery, Express, and EMS counter, Money Orders counter, and Tax counter. Base on the observation that has been done, the queuing model at the Postage counter is (M/G/1):(GD/∞/∞), Special Delivery, Express, and EMS counter is (M/M/3):(GD/∞/∞), Money Orders counter is (M/M/2):(GD/∞/∞), and Tax counter is (M/M/2):(GD/∞/∞).
