The political debate on immigration in the election campaigns in Europe
Migration has become an increasingly pressing topic on the national and European political agendas and in general public debate. The migratory phenomenon, as well as its humanitarian and health implications, are presented nowadays as a challenge for national and supranational governments which requires coordinated responses to ensure citizen security. During the election campaigns in the last three years, right-wing parties have largely depicted the right of freedom of movement as a risk factor, taking advantage of this issue for political propaganda. A significant part of the political debate takes place on social media, which has become the preferred platform for openly expressing political sentiment, including that considered politically incorrect. This study explores the political debate on immigration during the election campaigns of France and Italy over the last three years. More specifically, we perform Emotional Text Mining with the aim of identifying the sentiment surrounding immigration, and how immigrants are portrayed, in the online Twitter debate during the French presidential election (2017), the Italian general election (2018), and the Italian European elections (2019). Results were compared to identify the similarities and differences, and the effect on the election results that characterized two of the European Union’s founding countries
ABSTRACT
Football is a popular sport in the world today. One of the highlights of this sport is the fans who are present in the stadium to support their favorite club on a match. Supporters support the club by singing songs with the aim of encouraging players or intimidating opponents. Persija is one of the biggest football clubs in Indonesia which has supporters called Jakmania. Songs from Jakmania always encourage Persija players when competing.
Through this scription, the Author wants to investigate the representation of Jakmania in the lyrics of Persija football support songs through the semiotic method. The results of the study were: 1) there was a change in the attitude of Jakmania which became more orderly and focused in supporting the pride of Persija team; 2) the song was created to support the Persija team and bring down the opponent's mentality; and 3) some of the song lyrics above have elements of locality, namely the use of Betawi language in the lyrics of the Persija Jakarta song.

Abstract: This work presents a theoretical and compositional reflection on the exploration of aspects of referentiality in electroacoustic music, more specifically in mixed electroacoustic music and acousmatic music. From the definition of the word "referentiality", we presented a brief panorama of the use of different binary distinctions or corresponding dialectical oppositions that point out the meaning inside or outside the musical discourse, based mainly in the semiological and semantic investigations of musical meaning. We then present a concise approach to the historical process that involves aesthetics of music and referentiality, and the elimination of extra-musical associations and source/cause recognition, proposed by Pierre Schaeffer in the early period of electroacoustic music. Completing the historical approach we present the idea of regain of source recognition started by Luc Ferrari in the early 1960s. Following there is the focal point of this research, that is, the investigation of some dialectical pairs related to the internal and external aspects of referentiality in texts by electroacoustic composers, like Denis Smalley, Trevor Wishart, Simon Emmerson, Michel Chion, Jonty Harrison and Natasha Barrett. The investigation of these aspects is followed by a description, by means of an analysis of the pieces, of the main processes and techniques used by the author in the composition of the mixed work Cordamadeira for amplified acoustic guitar and quadraphonic electroacoustic sounds, and in the creation of acousmatic music Hide-and-seek, in which different levels of referentiality are explored
A Model for the Division of Labor Through Network Interactions
abstract: We model communication among social insects as an interacting particle system in which individuals perform one of two tasks and neighboring sites anti-mimic one another. Parameters of our model are a probability of defection 2 (0; 1) and relative cost ci > 0 to the individual performing task i. We examine this process on complete graphs, bipartite graphs, and the integers, answering questions about the relationship between communication, defection rates and the division of labor. Assuming the division of labor is ideal when exactly half of the colony is performing each task, we nd that on some bipartite graphs and the integers it can eventually be made arbitrarily close to optimal if defection rates are sufficiently small. On complete graphs the fraction of individuals performing each task is also closest to one half when there is no defection, but is bounded by a constant dependent on the relative costs of each task
Diagnosis and management of tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) fusion sarcomas: expert recommendations from the World Sarcoma Network
© 2020 The Author(s).Sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of malignancies with mesenchymal lineage differentiation. The discovery of neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase (NTRK) gene fusions as tissue-agnostic oncogenic drivers has led to new personalized therapies for a subset of patients with sarcoma in the form of tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitors. NTRK gene rearrangements and fusion transcripts can be detected with different molecular pathology techniques, while TRK protein expression can be demonstrated with immunohistochemistry. The rarity and diagnostic complexity of NTRK gene fusions raise a number of questions and challenges for clinicians. To address these challenges, the World Sarcoma Network convened two meetings of expert adult oncologists and pathologists and subsequently developed this article to provide practical guidance on the management of patients with sarcoma harboring NTRK gene fusions. We propose a diagnostic strategy that considers disease stage and histologic and molecular subtypes to facilitate routine testing for TRK expression and subsequent testing for NTRK gene fusions.GDD was supported in part by the Ludwig Center at Harvard; the Dr Miriam and Sheldon G. Short, full-dose adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) in high-risk adult soft tissue sarcomas (STS): long-term follow-up of a randomized clinical trial from the Italian Sarcoma Group and the Spanish Sarcoma Group
Background: To report on long-term results of a phase 3 trial comparing three versus five cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) with full-dose epirubicinpifosfamide in high-risk soft tissue sarcomas (STS). Methods: Patients (pts) were randomized to receive three preoperative cycles of epirubicin 120 mg/m2 and ifosfamide 9 g/m2 (Arm A) or to receive the same three preoperative cycles plus two postoperative cycles (Arm B). Radiotherapy could be either delivered in the preoperative or in the postoperative setting. Non-inferiority of the primary end point, OS, was assessed by the confidence interval of the hazard ratio (HR; Arm A/Arm B) derived from Cox model. Results: Between January 2002 and April 2007, 164 pts were assigned to arm A and 164 to arm B. At a median followup (FU) of 117 months (IQ range 103-135 months), 123 deaths were recorded: 58 in Arm A and 65 in Arm B. Ten-year OS was 61% for the entire group of patients: 64% in Arm A and 59% in Arm B. The intention-to-treat analysis confirmed that three cycles were not inferior to five cycles (one-sided 95% upper confidence limit was 1.24). A per protocol analysis was consistent with these results. Pts with leiomyosarcoma and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS) had the lowest, and the highest response rates, respectively. Consistently, Leiomyosarcoma and UPS had the worse and the best prognosis, respectively. Conclusions: At a longer FU, the non-inferiority of three cycles of a full-dose conventional CT in comparison to five is confirmed. Response to therapy is also confirmed to be associated with better survival. This regimen is currently tested within an ongoing international trial against three cycles of a neoadjuvant histology-tailored CT (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01710176). © The Author 2016
The phenomenon of disinformation has been aggravated by the fact that social networks along with other online platforms are used to generate and distribute information to an ideologically biased public. The risk of disinformation on the internet, especially in social networks, underlies the interactivity and permeability of the trinomial receiver, producer and disseminator of content. In this way, the information that feeds the online community is composed, making it almost impossible for those who lack digital, informational, and communicative skills to distinguish between reliable and contrasted information from rumors and disinformation (Romero, 2015).
Taking into account the above premises, this paper aims to study two methods to counter disinformation: verification journalism and informational training. As a result of the study, the author intends to put his knowledge into practice to create a platform for informational training and fact checking with the purpose of providing tools in the discussion of what to do journalism in the era of disinformation.PregradoComunicador Social y PeriodistaIntroducción.....8
