The Brand of the Celebrity Author and the Bestselling Author: The Case of Jari Tervo
In the 21st century, the celebrity author has begun to interest researchers not only as a marketing phenomenon, but also as the literary institution’s own phenomenon. In my article, I explore the relationship of the celebrity author to the so-called acclaimed authors of modern times.
In Anglo-American research, the celebrity author and the bestselling author are distinguished as separate author types, but in my example author, Jari Tervo, these types combine. For almost 20 years, Jari Tervo has been among both the most sold and the most visible celebrity authors in his in Finland. I examine how the publicity and brand of the Finnish celebrity author are formed. I consider how the brand affects the author’s works on one hand, and the reception of the works on the other. I point out the limiting effect that the brand has, but also examine the way it allows the author mobility on the literary fields while combining the high and the low, as well as the opportunity to influence the society with his production
Distributed human computation framework for linked data co-reference resolution
Distributed Human Computation (DHC) is a technique used to solve computational problems by incorporating the collaborative effort of a large number of humans. It is also a solution to AI-complete problems such as natural language processing. The Semantic Web with its root in AI is envisioned to be a decentralised world-wide information space for sharing machine-readable data with minimal integration costs. There are many research problems in the Semantic Web that are considered as AI-complete problems. An example is co-reference resolution, which involves determining whether different URIs refer to the same entity. This is considered to be a significant hurdle to overcome in the realisation of large-scale Semantic Web applications. In this paper, we propose a framework for building a DHC system on top of the Linked Data Cloud to solve various computational problems. To demonstrate the concept, we are focusing on handling the co-reference resolution in the Semantic Web when integrating distributed datasets. The traditional way to solve this problem is to design machine-learning algorithms. However, they are often computationally expensive, error-prone and do not scale. We designed a DHC system named iamResearcher, which solves the scientific publication author identity co-reference problem when integrating distributed bibliographic datasets. In our system, we aggregated 6 million bibliographic data from various publication repositories. Users can sign up to the system to audit and align their own publications, thus solving the co-reference problem in a distributed manner. The aggregated results are published to the Linked Data Cloud
But no one knows when accident happen in every person. That accident can cause a person to lose a limb, for example a hand. Handless person will find it difficult to carry out their daily activities, for example eating or writing. If the person is also unable to speak fluently, then that person will experience problems with a sign language. Based on these problem, the author wants to make a robot arm with Electromyography (EMG) Techniques. EMG is a technique that used to evaluate nerve and muscle’s function by recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. This robot arm utilizes electromyographic techniques to read myoelectric signals from 5 different forearm muscles namely extensor policis brevis, upper and lower flexor digitorum superficialis, flexor palmaris longus, and flexor carpi ulnaris where each muscle tension in the forearm amplified by an amplifier, then the signal is processed by a microcontroller to move the robot arm. The conclusion of this research is each finger has its own threshold value. Threshold value becomes the parameter of the microcontroller to contract or relax the robot arm. The overall success rate of this research is 94%. Kata kunci: Electromyogram, Fingers movement combination
The Association of Hair Cortisol Concentration (HCC), Stressful Life Events, and Psychosocial Stress Habituation
The analysis of hair glucocorticoid levels became an instrument of particular interest in stress-related psychoneuroendocrine research. In comparison to conventional methods of measuring long-term glucocorticoid levels in humans, the quantification of hair cortisol is feasible, reliable, and time-efficient. Yet, previous research was hardly able to detect a consistent relationship between hair cortisol and perceived (chronic) stress. Specifically, whether and how past life events shape this relationship is still an unresolved question. Almost nothing is known about the potential modulatory role of differences in psychosocial stress reactivity and its habituation across multiple exposures. Thus, the present study is aimed at clarifying the relationship between hair cortisol concentration, stressful life events, and psychosocial stress habituation.
The study consists of one kick-off session and three further appointments scheduled for approximately 1.5 hours at the same time in weekly intervals. At the first appointment, participants are asked to complete questionnaires covering sociodemographic data, recently perceived stress and stressful life events. Additionally, a sample of hair is extracted for glucocorticoid analysis. At the other appointments, participants undergo the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST; Kirschbaum et al., 1993), a well-established method for psychosocial stress inducement. Before, during, and after the TSST of each session, various physiological measures such as salivary cortisol and heart rate as well as self-report data on perceived stress are assessed

LITERATURE REVIEW: APPLICATION OF RELAXATION THERAPY
FIVE-FINGER HYPNOTIC OF ANSIETAS
ABSTRACT
Anxiety is a condition and an individual's subjective experience of objects that are not clear and specific due to the anticipation of danger that allows individuals to take action to deal with threats / dangers. Anxiety that is not treated promptly will cause mental emotional disturbances. One of the treatments to reduce anxiety is by providing relaxation therapy five finger hypnosis. The purpose of this scientific work is to to review the literature, articles and research documents that identify the effects of giving relaxation therapy Five-finger hypnosis reduces anxiety in diabetes mellitus patients. The method used is a literature review by searching for articles from the database. The author uses four databases, namely Google Scholar and Portal Garuda Ristekdikti with a span of years from 2010-2020. Articles are searched using keywords that have been determined by the researcher and then the articles are extracted based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The measuring tool for anxiety level uses a questionnaire with 14 questions and to measure the level of anxiety using the HARS scale (Hamilton Rating Scale For Anxiety). The results of the case study showed that the client's anxiety decreased from moderate anxiety (score 27) to mild anxiety (score 17). Heat equation in a periodic domain with special initial data
We consider the initial-boundary value problem with the Neumann boundary condition for the classical linear heat equation in unbounded domains ohm & subne; Rd which are periodic in all directions of the Cartesian coordinate system. Generalizing the results of a previous paper by the authors, we apply Floquet transform methods to obtain results on the large time decay rates of the solution in the sup-norm. We observe that for a general, integrable initial data, the solution decays at the same rate t-d/2 as in the case of the Cauchy problem in the entire Euclidean space. We also consider special initial data with vanishing x-integral and obtain a faster decay rate. In the main results of the paper we pose for the initial data certain more detailed conditions, which are related to the lowest eigenvalue and eigenfunction of the model problem coming from the Floquet transform. Faster decay rates are obtained for such initial data. (c) 2025 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Inc. Culture and author’s personality in the literary text: A rereading of Abubakar Imam’s Magana <i>jari ce</i>
The article is an attempt to look at the literary text as a manifestation of the author’s personality and cultural background. The analysis concerns the book Magana jari ce ‘Wisdom is an asset’, containing stories from the native Hausa tradition and foreign motifs, adapted by the author, Abubakar Imam, for the Hausa text. The analysis is to demonstrate links between author’s personality and cultural background in creative adaptation of the stories in the book. It is argued here that from the eighty-four stories in Magana jari ce, in most of them the scenery, characters, and the way they are presented are motivated by the author’s personal experiences, which also show the values and moral standards recognized by him. Among cultural values, there is respect for clerics, admiration for the Hausa court, accepting patriarchal model of the society and low social status of women. Abubakar Imam’s sense of humour and his feeling for language complement the features that determine the author’s style and narrative features of the book
Identifying the invisible: The experiences of prostitution among persons with intellectual disabilities: Implications for social work
Summary: This article explores a relatively uncharted research area. The focus of the analysis is on how professionals working in care provision units, specialized prostitution units, the police, social services and special schools detect and deal with prostitution among people with intellectual disabilities. The data were obtained primarily through focus group interviews. The study shows that organizational specialization in different authorities and services makes it difficult to identify and work with this group. Clients with complex problems tend to find themselves in between the jurisdictional fields of different authorities, meaning that many do not receive the support that they need. Findings: In recent decades social work has undergone increasing balkanization and specialization. Each particular organization is regulated by specific legislation, regulations, forms of knowledge and normative assumptions. Professionals working with people with intellectual disabilities have difficulties in detecting prostitution among their clients, whilst those who work with prostitution lack the knowledge and methods to work with intellectual disabilities. At the same time, social work with these individuals is conducted within a field of tension between the client0s right of self-determination and professionals’ responsibilities for their well-being. Applications: The study demonstrates that, with this type of complex problem, it is important to establish different types of collaboration between different organizations. However, due to the risk of increased control being detrimental to clients, collaboration needs to be founded on the client’s needs and right to self-determination.
