A classification of 20-trinucleotide circular codes
AbstractTrinucleotide comma-free codes and trinucleotide circular codes are two important classes of codes in code theory and theoretical biology. A trinucleotide circular code containing exactly 20 elements is called here a 20-trinucleotide circular code. In this paper, solving a combinatorial problem of hard computational complexity, we extend and improve our results of C.J. Michel, G. Pirillo, and M.A. Pirillo (2008) [14] concerning the small class of 528 self-complementary 20-trinucleotide circular codes, to the complete class of the 20-trinucleotide circular codes which contains 12,964,440 elements. A surprising relation with the symmetric group Σ4 appears but it remains unexplained so far
Il diritto penale nel canone di Mario Romano
This paper deals with the extension and the extraordinary scientific value of the works written by a great Master in Criminal Law, such as Mario Romano. The Author briefly presents some of the most relevant contributions given by Professor Mario Romano to the Criminal Science, first of all his "Commentario sistematico del codice penale" (Systematic Commentary on the penal code), a unique work. Finally, the paper talks about some topics which have been developed inside the work "Studi in onore di Mario Romano" (Studies in Honour of Mario Romano)
L'uno e il molteplice: su Catull. 5
In Catull. 5, the author cleverly works out two ancient topoi (‘let’s love, because the night/death is coming’; ‘kisses are the joy of lovers’), gaining a well balanced structure of the poem. In comparison with contemporary Graeco-Roman poetry (erotic epigrams – such as Philod. AP 9, 570 –, the Epitaph of Bion), both themes are handled with a remarkable taste for originality, especially in their ‘numerical’ aspects, in order to put special emphasis on the basic contrast between nox una and basia mille

Fighting obesity in children from European world health organization member states. Epidemiological data, medical-social aspects, and prevention programs
Childhood obesity is one of the most serious public health chal-lenges of this century. Overweight and obese children are likely to stay obese into adulthood and more likely to develop non-communicable diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases at a younger age.In the WHO European Region one child out of 3, is overweight or obese. Over 60% of children who are overweight before puberty will be overweight in early adulthood. Children and adolescents, aged 5-19 have shown rising obesity rates in almost all nations, including where the situation was far from alarming 40 years ago. Several nations have seen the prevalence almost double: Israel has gone from 5.8% in 1975 to 11.9% in 2016, Andorra from 6.2% to 12.8%, and Malta from 7.4% to 13.4%.Analyzing overweight and obesity, we can see that they follow similar trends and patterns. In 1975 the majority of European countries had a prevalence less than 10% and obesity less than 5%, while no European country had overweight prevalence higher than 30% and obe-sity higher than 10%. In 2016 the trend reversed, showing a worrying increase in the number of European countries with a high prevalence of overweight (over 30%) and obesity (over 10%) (Fig. 1)(29).Starting from the analysis of epidemiological data on obesity in the WHO European Region, the paper analyzes the adopted prevention programs in order to assess their effectiveness and figure out the best strategies to reduce the prevalence of overweight and obesity The WHO European Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative reported that children tend to overeat and not to do enough physical exercise.Different preventive programs have identified different areas of action and corresponding measures: consumption of healthy foods, physical exercise, care before conception and during pregnancy, early childhood, school age children, weight management, monitoring and evaluation.Primary prevention is essential to reduce obesity incidence: it is easier to act on the adoption of healthy eating habits than intervene with diets on children who already have weight issues. Working on pre-vention programs represents an investment for the future of children’s health. By simply acting on prevention, particularly on body weight reduction, it could be possible to tackle the spreading of correlated di-seases. Therefore, prevention programs ought to be prioritized priority at a national and international level

Il teatro greco scoperto a Cirene nel nuovo santuario di Demetra.
The Author presents data about the new Greek Theater found in the Sanctuary of Demeter, in course of excavations by the Archaeological Italian Mission of the Urbino University since 1999.
Mario Luni examines the status of findings after ten years of research: the new Doric hexastyle Temple of Demeter, of the late-Archaic age, the Altar, the Hellenistic Propylaeum, a Porch and numerous shrines cutted into the rock of the same period. This Sanctuary was discovered by the author outside the southern door of Cyrene and a particular attention has been dedicated to the new Greek Theater. It was built in the middle of the Sanctuary, along the route of the processions in honor of Demeter and this monumental structure consists of 22 steps carved into the rock like the orchestra. The excavations are still ongoing in the skené that seems to be of a particular type, in connection with a fountain dedicated to Nymphs, with a shrine carved into the rock and with sacred rites do Demeter
