Rovine e macerie.

Ready-to-eat roasted suckling piglet (Porcheddu): An innovative process for a sardinian traditional dish
Roasted piglet (Porcheddu) is one of the most appreciated traditional Sardinian dishes obtained from suckling animals slaughtered at 8-12 kg of body weight (BW). The traditional cooking method is time-consuming; this dish is eaten only when there is enough time for its preparation (cooking time of about 2 h). The Porcheddu is appreciated by both local and foreign consumers and there is also an increasing interest, for this traditional dish, by extra regional consumers and markets. Actually, since the occurrence of African swine fever (ASF), the trade of pigs and pig meat products is not permitted from Sardinia. The Council Directive 2002/99/EC provided a derogation for states member to authorize the production, processing and distribution of products of animal origin when a Heat treatment at a minimum temperature of 80°C, which must be reached throughout the meat is applied. The overall framework of this study was to evaluate an innovative process to obtain a traditional dish the Porcheddu suitable to achieve extra-regional markets and meet the demand of modern consumers and to assess the effect of carcass weight on the processing yield of suckling piglets, thermally treated, to obtain a ready-to-eat roast dish
Validity and reliability of the Palliative Care Transition Measure for Caregivers (PCTM-C)
Objective. Patients suffering from advanced disease face different care transitions. The transition from acute to palliative care is challenging and may lead to the discontinuity of care.
Family caregivers become important sources of information, as patients begin to experience difficulties in coping with emotional transition events. The Care Transition Measure was
developed to evaluate care transitions as experienced by the elderly. It has never been used in palliative care. The aim of this study was to test the validity and reliability of a modified
version of the Palliative Care Transition Measure, specifically the Palliative Care Transition Measure for Caregivers (PCTM-C). Method. The study included two main phases. Phase I focused on the construction of a modified version of the Palliative Care Transition Measure through two focus groups and
by computing the content validity index. Phase II focused on testing the psychometric
properties of the PCTM-C on 272 family caregivers through confirmatory factor analysis.
Result. The content validity index for each of the items was higher than 0.80, whereas that for
the scale was 0.95. The model tested with confirmatory factor analysis fitted the data well and
confirmed that the transition measures referred to communication, integrated care and a
trusting-relationship, and therefore the core dimensions of continuity according to existing
conceptual models. The internal consistency was high (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.94).
Significance of results. The PCTM-C proved to be a suitable measure of the quality of such
transitions. It may be used in clinical practice as a continuity quality indicator and has the
potential to guide interventions to enhance family caregivers’ experience of care continuit

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
BUILDING STORIES FROM BEHIND A SCREEN: MANAGING THE DESIGN OF STORY-BASED STRATEGIES REMOTELY
In the contemporary mediascape, storytelling emerges as a strategic asset in several fields, resulting
in what Fisher [1] defined the ‘narrative paradigm’: the aptitude of people in communicating via
storytelling and comprehending social interaction through a narrative logic. Relying on the ability of
narrative to trigger emotions, memories, engagement and action taking, we have explored the role of
design in developing narrative systems that are capable of creating an impact on real life.
The focus of this article is work conducted by the ImagisLab research group (Department of Design,
Politecnico di Milano) that aimed at activating processes of co-design, participatory video and
collaborative story construction in which the distribution of story-based strategies allows stakeholders
to interpret and participate in the narratives with which we are all surrounded. Throughout the paper
we will refer to the ongoing project ACTS—A Chance Through Sport, that involves a prison inmate
population, prison officers and public audience.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted both research and design practice, we aim to elaborate on
the ongoing project ACTS, offering some reflections on how we should maintain and integrate the
applied processes, tools and platforms within the story-design field, into day-to-day work in the postpandemic
era
