    Brodsky and Rubtsov - the identity contexts of two poems

    No full text
    This paper deals with two poems: “Ты поскачешь во мраке…” by Joseph Brodsky, and “Я буду скакать по следам задремавшей отчизны…” by Nikolay Rubtsov. Analysing some features of these poems and comparing similarities in both poets’ biographies, the author states the significant difference between them. Rubtsov, in his opinion, has an identity typical of pre-modern subjectivity. It is conventional, stereotypical and conservative, full of faith in traditional, idealised Russian values. Brodsky’s self-defining is in this aspect close to late modernity. It is liquid, all the time in movement, never convinced about self-identity

    Objective – to explore the scientific school of the famous landscape architect, dendrologist, doctor of biological sciences professor Leonid Ivanovich Rubtsov. Material and methods. Creative biographies of L.I. Rubtsov’s post graduate students have been analyzed. The historical- scientific method and method of interviews were used. Results. The theoretical scientific developments of L.I. Rubtsov, set out in unique monographs, and his ideas are implemented practically during the construction a number of botanical gardens and parks were investigated. Professor Rubtsov worked fruitfully for 50 years in the field of dendrology and green building. In M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine Leonid Ivanovich was the author and the head of the work on the arboretum creation. In 1972 the Botanical Garden was granted the status of a monument of landscape art of national importance. This became possible thanks to works of L.I. Rubtsov. His knowledge and great experience he passed on to his students, who eventually became good experts in dendrology and landscape architects. Professor L.I. Rubtsov was the head of 8 post graduate students (Candidates of Sciences): namely 3 Candidates of Architecture (I.D. Rodichkin, V.G. Maevskaya, V.I. Meshkova) and 5 Candidates of Biological Sciences (M.I. Orlov, Yu.K. Kirychek, M.F. Kaplunenko, B.K. Gryshko-Bogmenko, N.F. Kolybina). Conclusions. Erudition, a wide range of interests and style of work of Leonid Ivanovich were of decisive importance for attracting young talents and for many years determined their creative ways. Scientific works of L.I. Rubtsov, especially monographs, reference books and manuals are still indispensable benefits for many specialists in the field of landscape architecture and decorative gardening

    Genre Originality of Creativity Nikolay Rubtsov: the Problem of the Interaction of Folklore and Literary Traditions

The article discusses the issue of genre and the specifics of the creative work of Nikolai Rubtsov. The genre is seen by the author as one of the fundamental categories involved in the for-mation of the poet's artistic method. Rubtsov's songs («Winter song», «Farewell song», «Autumn song») and ditties, elegies («Road Elegy», «Elegy (I will Put aside my meager food...»), poems-ballads («Old road», «Visions on the hill») and the poem-fairy tale «Robber Lyalya» are subjected to ideological-figurative, stylistic and phonic analysis. Among the genre features are found both folk and literary elements, resulting in the conclusion about the synthetic nature of genre forms of poetry of Nikolai Rubtsov

    Quantum many-body adiabaticity, topological Thouless pump and driven impurity in a one-dimensional quantum fluid

    The quantum adiabatic theorem states that a driven system can be kept arbitrarily close to the instantaneous eigenstate of its Hamiltonian if the latter varies in time slowly enough. When it comes to applying the adiabatic theorem in practice, the key question to be answered is how slow slowly enough is. This question can be an intricate one, especially for many-body systems, where the limits of slow driving and large system size may not commute. Recently we have shown how the quantum adiabaticity in many-body systems is related to the generalized orthogonality catastrophe [arXiv 1611.00663, to appear in Phys. Rev. Lett.]. We have proven a rigorous inequality relating these two phenomena and applied it to establish conditions for the quantized transport in the topological Thouless pump. In the present contribution we (i) review these developments and (ii) apply the inequality to establish the conditions for adiabaticity in a one-dimensional system consisting of a quantum fluid and an impurity particle pulled through the fluid by an external force. The latter analysis is vital for the correct quantitative description of the phenomenon of quasi-Bloch oscillations in a one-dimensional translation invariant impurity-fluid system.</p

    The Concept of “Genre” in the Scientific Heritage of Feodosy Rubtsov

    Разработка понятия «жанр» и системы жанровых признаков – малоизвестная сторона научного наследия музыковеда-фольклориста, композитора, профессора Ленинградской государственной консерватории, автора исследований «Интонационные связи в песенном творчестве славянских народов» (1962), «Основы ладового строения русской народной песни» (1964) Феодосия Антоновича Рубцова (1904–1986). Изучение стенограмм конференций (доклад «Принципы определения жанров в народной песенности»), неизданных работ «Хрестоматия по народному музыкальному творчеству (1952) и «Народные песни Смоленской области» (1969) показывает, что при исследовании жанров музыкального фольклора ученый высказал ряд актуальных для 1960–1970-х годов позиций, понимая «жанр» как родо-видовое, многоуровневое понятие, ведущим критерием определения которого является функция, а также стилевые признаки и тип художественной формы. Рубцов отмечал, что жанровая система фольклора способна к обновлению, а характерное свойство жанров музыкального фольклора заключается в их способности в определенном контексте выступать в функции другого жанраProfessor of the Leningrad State Conservatory composer Feodosy Antonovich Rubtsov (1904-1986) entered the history of Russian musicology as the author of the original concept of the structure of scales of folk songs. The scientist formulated main positions in monographs “Intonation Relations in the Songs of Slavs” (1962) and “The principles of mode construction in Russian Folk Songs” (1964). Comprehension of the concept of “genre”, the definition of genre features of traditional folk songs is a little-known side of Rubtsov’s scientific heritage. The study of archival documents (in particular, the transcripts of the report “Principles for Determining Genres of Folk Songs”, which was made in 1966 at the Leningrad department of the Union of Composers at the scientific conference “Theoretical Problems of Musical Forms and Genres”) shows that the scientist formulated a number of positions that were relevant for the 1960–1970. “Genre” is a genus and species concept, multi-level concept. The main criterion for determining the genre is the function, the stylistic features and the type of form are important too. Rubtsov noted that the genre system of folklore is capable of renewal, and the characteristic property of the genres of musical folklore lies in their ability in a certain context to act as a function of another genr

Chem.Phys.Reports, 17, 73, (1998)Author Institution: Russia, Institute for Structural Macrokinetics RAS, Moscow regionDichlorosilylenes have been detected in the branching chain reaction of the oxidation of dichlorosilane with O2O_{2} for the first time. The emission spectra of rarified flame were recorded under static and flow conditions over the pressure range 0,550,5-5 Torr and 293393K293-393 K over the following intervals : SiO(A1X1)SiO(A^{1} - X^{1}) in the range 220-280 nm SiCl2(A1B1X1A1)SiCl_{2} (A^{1}B_{1} - X^{1}A_{1}) in the range 300380nmg300-380 nm^{g}; the continious emission caused by the blackbody radiation from the solid particles over 400nm. The intensive absorption in the range of 210-260 nm has been also observed under static conditions. The simultaneous recording of the mentioned intermediates as well as conductivity (revealed recentlybrecently^{b}) during the single ignition has been performed. The peaks of the signals are staggered in time. The first peak in time is SiCl2SiCl_{2} (coincident with SiO), the second is the absorption peak, the third is the visible emission coincident with conductivity peak. 10\% additives (to fuel) of SF6SF_{6} have a decreasing effect only on the absorption, visible emission and conductivity. It means that the absorbing intermediates contain Si-O bonds since SF6SF_{6} has influence mainly on aerosol formationcformation^{c}
