No full textAfter the crusade of 1100-1101 – led by the archbishop of Milan Anselm IV
from Bovisio and the count Albert from Biandrate and joined by a significant
army of milites led by count Albert II from Parma –, in Parma as in many other
towns, a church and an attached hospice were founded dedicated to the Holy
Sepulchre. This church roses probably when the bishop of Parma was Bernardo
degli Uberti or in the period of passage between the episcopacy of Guido and the
Bernardo’s one (1104-1106). Despite the sparse information around the initial
phase of this foundation, a persuasive hypothesis around the history of the first
century of this Emilian imitatio hierosolymitana can be formulated, whose main
elements are the following: the lay origin of the foundation (due to the crusaders),
the strong relationship with the bishop Bernardo and his reforming pastoral
care, its affiliation to the community of regular canons of Saint Felicola in the
XIIth century, its insertion in the urban context, its ability to polarize the charity
of the population and its politics of property expansion, in competition with
others urban and out-of-towner ecclesiastical corporate bodies

No full textThe imput to this study was given by " Consorzio della Bonifica Parmense " that has to solve many problems linked to landslides happening in the area of Parma, as well in many other areas in Italy. The responsability for these damages is often attribuited to the presence of wild animals, especially Nutria (Myocastor coypus) and its escavation activities along streams banks. Aim of this study is to collect alla information abaut the species in object, from anatomical and physiological knowledge, to reproductive and ethological features. To do that we used, whenever possible, scientifically reliable papers. Then, it has been explained the reason why eradication isn't useful and, finally, we showed and analyzed many different solutions focused on environment and animals management, direct to an environmental regeneration and numerical containment of Nutria population
The Co-Laboratory: a tool for research and education at the University of Parma
No full textCo-Lab proposal at the University of Parma is meant to create a virtual organization, starting from Humanities and Social Science Faculties, to foster quality concerning education and research through a collaborative approach. The problem is not about IT tools, already available to use, but the creation of a mindset and stimulation of the existing infrastructure to improve results. Collaboration and the development of a project
ground for everybody might upgrade learning performances inside the University. Educational frameworks such as Masters and courses have been reinterpreted as collaboration experiences and methods to gather actors have been designed through an experimental environment. Interviews to teachers and students are used to tune up the type of service needed. Organization, technology and knowledge are considered as entangled and all necessary to Co-Lab development
