De Foucault à Butler: como a teoria queer contamina os discursos
Get PDFThis resource aims to disseminate the central ideas about gender, sexuality, race and social class discussed in “Foucault and queer theory”. In three distinct moments, this article approaches gender problems, discovers about the daily and post-secular social life marked in the social markers and, finally, traces considerations about the respect for the advancement of the discourses of gender, sexuality and religion based on a discussion line from Michel Foucault to Judith Butler. The dissemination of this theme is of great importance for the deepening and opening of new guidelines on queer studies related to various theories, including in relation to architectural practices and urban knowledge. Cities can and should be inclusive.Esta resenha tem como objetivo divulgar as ideias centrais sobre gênero, sexualidade, raça e classe social discutidas na obra “Foucault e a teoria queer”. Em três momentos distintos, esta obra debruça-se sobre os problemas de gênero, discorre sobre a vida cotidiana e social pós-secular pautada nos marcadores sociais e, por fim, traça considerações a respeito do avanço dos discursos de gênero, sexualidade e religião pautados em uma linha de discussão que vai de Michel Foucault à Judith Butler. A divulgação deste tema é de grande importância para o aprofundamento e para a abertura de novas orientações sobre os estudos queer relacionado à diversas teorias, inclusive em relação as práticas arquitetônicas e saberes urbanos. No full textNeste artigo discuto as relações estabelecidas entre masculinidades e espaço urbano, a partir da prática discursiva intersemiótica (cf. MAINGUENEAU, 2008) de Linn da Quebrada. Pretendo também refletir sobre as novas possibilidades de performar masculinidades diferentes da forma concreta e rígida, inscrita na sociedade pelo poder patriarcal. Estas masculinidades ‘desviantes’, ocupam e ressignificam o espaço urbano de uma forma nunca antes vista, dando-lhe um conteúdo no mínimo diferente quando não subversivo. Para análise, utilizo um recorte do corpus de minha pesquisa: a canção “Enviadescer” – como exemplar de produção discursiva do espaço canônico musical (cf. MAINGUENEAU, 2008). Na análise, utilizo o arcabouço teórico e metodológico da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa com reflexões a respeito do corpo e do espaço vindas da filosofia, da sociologia e também da teoria da arquitetura/urbanismo que me permite realizar reflexões críticas acerca das narrativas contemporâneas. Além dos pressupostos das teorias Queer, para pensar gênero e sexualidade para além das perspectivas cisheteronormativas, historicamente e discursivamente construídas, que orientam (performam) as práticas dos sujeitos.
Espaço urbano e subversão queer: ethos e cenografia na prática discursiva intersemiótica de Linn da Quebrada
Get PDFIn this article, I aim to discuss how the applicable relations between sex, sexuality and urban space, from Linn da Quebrada's intersemiotic discursive practice. I also want to reflect on the places of resistance that depreciated bodies occupy subverting or initial value of urban space that is, re-signifying an architectural/urban status. Therefore, the escape of naturalized patterns of gender and sexuality begins to live a different experience in cities, between centers and peripheries, between places and not places, reinventing a city with characteristics that it never had or never imagined. For this analysis, use a feature of the body of my research: a song "Bomba pra Caralho" - as an example of discursive production of the canonical space of music (cf. MAINGUENEAU, 2006). In the analysis, use or theoretical and methodological framework of French Discourse Analysis, reflections on a relationship between the body and the city from philosophy, sociology and architecture, in addition to assumptions of Queer theories, to think about sex and sexuality beyond the perspective of historically and discursively constructed binaries that guide (perform) as subjects' practices, including in the field of architecture and urbanism.Neste artigo, pretendo discutir as relações estabelecidas entre gênero, sexualidade e espaço urbano, a partir da prática discursiva intersemiótica de Linn da Quebrada. Pretendo, também, refletir sobre os lugares de resistência que corpos considerados desviantes ocupam subvertendo o valor inicial do espaço urbano, ou seja, ressignificando um status arquitetônico/urbanístico. Assim, fugindo dos padrões naturalizados de gênero e sexualidade passam a viver uma experiência diferente nas cidades, entre centro e periferia, entre lugares e não-lugares, reinventando a cidade com características que ela nunca teve ou jamais imaginou ter. No full textNeste artigo discuto as inter-relações estabelecidas entre gênero, sexualidade e espaço urbano. O interesse maior recaí sobre os modos como podemos ler as categorias de corpo, sexo e gênero como dispositivos de mapeamentos de resistências que possam auxiliar em análises e descrições do ‘sujeito-queer’ em nossa sociedade, nas diversas análises possíveis. As identidades dissidentes ou ‘desviantes’, ocupam e ressignificam o espaço urbano de formas diferentes, dotando-os de novos significados e, assim, subvertendo seu valor inicial. Desse modo, trago como objeto de leitura a plataforma colaborativa ‘Queering the Map’ demonstrando como o ciberespaço se insere como um dispositivo de cartografias contemporâneas. Na análise faço gestos de leitura e interpretação entendendo a linguagem como performance a partir dos atos de fala e, também, com outras reflexões vindas da teoria da arquitetura e dos estudos urbanos, além das teorias Queer que colaboram com leitura de práticas não-binárias.  
Linn da Quebrada: o corpo trans na experiência urbana
No full textThis article presents the analysis of the song “Mulher” by the artist Linn da Quebrada, which is part of the audiovisual work blasFêmea, from the theoretical-methodological perspective of the Discourse Analysis of the French line. The theme that crosses the production is the question of being a woman from the experience of the transsexual and peripheral body in relation to the urban space, therefore, social, inhabited by this person. In the light of this contemporary emblem, we bring to the debate the relationship between gender, sexuality and urban space, based on Linn da Quebrada’s intersemiotic discursive practice, in order to rethink the forms of gender identity construction, starting from the deconstruction of cisheteronormativities, these given as natural. We will make a presentation on the key theme, gender and urban space. Here we are interested in discussing the social role that architecture plays in our culture, after that, we will briefly reflect on the used concepts and, then, we will expose our analysis.Este artigo apresenta uma análise da canção “Mulher”, da artista Linn da Quebrada, veiculada na obra audiovisual blasFêmea, a partir da perspectiva teórico-metodológica da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa. O tema que atravessa a produção é a questão do “ser” mulher a partir da vivência do corpo transexual e periférico, em relação ao espaço urbano, portanto, social, habitado por essa persona. Diante desse emblema contemporâneo, trazemos para o debate a relação entre gênero, sexualidade e espaço urbano, a partir da prática discursiva intersemiótica de Linn da Quebrada, a fim de repensar as formas de construção de identidades de gênero, partindo da desconstrução das cisheteronormatividades, essas dadas como naturais. Faremos a exposição do tema chave, gênero e espaço urbano, aqui, já que nos interessa discutir sobre o papel social que a arquitetura desempenha em nossa cultura, e logo depois faremos uma breve reflexão a respeito dos conceitos utilizados para, então, expormos nossa análise
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
