From useful algorithms for slowly convergent series to physical predictions based on divergent perturbative expansions
This review is focused on the borderline region of theoretical physics and mathematics. First, we describe numerical methods
for the acceleration of the convergence of series. These provide a useful toolbox for theoretical physics which has hitherto not
received the attention it actually deserves. The unifying concept for convergence acceleration methods is that in many cases, one can
reach much faster convergence than by adding a particular series term by term. In some cases, it is even possible to use a divergent
input series, together with a suitable sequence transformation, for the construction of numerical methods that can be applied to the
calculation of special functions. This review both aims to provide some practical guidance as well as a groundwork for the study of
specialized literature. As a second topic, we review some recent developments in the field of Borel resummation, which is generally
recognized as one of the most versatile methods for the summation of factorially divergent (perturbation) series. Here, the focus is
on algorithms which make optimal use of all information contained in a finite set of perturbative coefficients. The unifying concept
for the various aspects of the Borel method investigated here is given by the singularities of the Borel transform, which introduce
ambiguities from a mathematical point of view and lead to different possible physical interpretations. The two most important cases
are: (i) the residues at the singularities correspond to the decay width of a resonance; and (ii) the presence of the singularities
indicates the existence of nonperturbative contributions which cannot be accounted for on the basis of a Borel resummation and
require generalizations toward resurgent expansions. Both of these cases are illustrated by examples

Associations of allelic variants of the β-lactoglobulin (LGB), stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase 1 (SCD), and sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP-1) genes with milk production, composition (fat, protein, and casein content), acidity (pH and titratable acidity), and coagulation properties (rennet coagulation time and curd firmness) were investigated in Brown Swiss cows. In total, 294 animals (progeny of 15 sires) reared in 16 herds were milk-sampled once. The additive effects of LGB (rs109625649:C > T), SCD (ss469414220:C > T), and SREBP-1 (AB355704: g.101_185ins) polymorphisms on the aforementioned traits were analyzed through Bayesian linear models. The LGB genotype affected rennet coagulation time, with TT (or BB) alleles showing longer rennet coagulation time compared with CC (or AA) cows. The SCD gene allelic variants were found to be associated with protein and casein contents and curd firmness: CC animals had the lowest values for the aforementioned traits. An association was found between SREBP-1 alleles and fat content, with the highest values for cows carrying the 84-bp insertion (or L) allele. Results suggest a possible use of these loci in gene-assisted selection programs for the improvement of milk quality traits and coagulation properties in Brown Swiss cattle

Hubungan antara Harga Diri dengan Kompetensi Interpersonal pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke Anik Kabupaten Landak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui signifikansi hubungan antara Harga diri dengan kompetensi interpersonal pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke Anik Kabupaten Landak. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 77 siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Menyuke Anik Kabupaten Landak. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala harga diri yang diadopsi dari teori Coopersmith (1978) yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Ribeca (2011) dengan jumlah 25 item pernyataan, dan skala kompetensi interpersonal yang diadopsi dari Buhrmester, dkk (1998) yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Ribeca (2011) dengan jumlah 30 item pernyataan. Skala harga diri memiliki reliabilitas a=0,792 dengan nilai validitas terendah 0,241 dan tertinggi 0,744.Sedangkan kompetensi interpersonal memiliki reliabilitas a= 0,896 dengan nilai validitas terendah 0,213 dan tertinggi 0,791. Hasil analisis korelasi pearson product moment diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar rxy= 0.385 dan p= 0,00 p<0,01. Kategori korelasi tergolong rendah.Dengan demikian, ada hubungan yang signifikan dengan arah positif antara harga diri dengan kompetensi interpersonal Siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Menyuke Anik Kabupaten Landak, artinya apabila skor interaksi harga diri naik akan di ikuti dengan naiknya skor kompetensi interpersonal. Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence (MPAI) is the first standards organization to develop data coding standards that have artificial intelligence (AI) as their core technology. MPAI believes that universally accessible standards for AI-based data coding can have the same positive effects on AI as standards had on digital media. Elementary components of MPAI standards–AI modules (AIMs)–expose standard interfaces for operation in a standard AI framework (AIF). As their performance may depend on the technologies used, MPAI expects that competing developers providing AIMs will promote horizontal markets of AI solutions that build on and further promote AI innovation. Finally, the MPAI framework licences (FWLs) provide guidelines to intellectual property right (IPR) holders facilitating the availability of compatible licenses to standard users

In 2015, a mass die-off of 48200,000 saiga antelopes in central Kazakhstan was caused by hemorrhagic septicemia attributable to the bacterium Pasteurella multocida serotype B. Previous analyses have indicated that environmental triggers associated with weather conditions, specifically air moisture and temperature in the region of the saiga antelope calving during the 10-day period running up to the event, were critical to the proliferation of latent bacteria and were comparable to conditions accompanying historically similar die-offs in the same areas. We investigated whether additional viral or bacterial pathogens could be detected in samples from affected animals using 3 different high-throughput sequencing approaches. We did not identify pathogens associated with commensal bacterial opportunisms in blood, kidney, or lung samples and thus concluded that P. multocida serotype B was the primary cause of the disease
Networks of Ethereum Non-Fungible Tokens: A graph-based analysis of the ERC-721 ecosystem
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a decentralized proof of ownership represent one of the main reasons why Ethereum is a disruptive technology. This paper presents the first systematic study of the interactions occurring in a number of NFT ecosystems. We illustrate how to retrieve transaction data available on the blockchain and structure it as a graph-based model. Thanks to this methodology, we are able to study for the first time the topological structure of NFT networks and show that their properties (degree distribution and others) are similar to those of interaction graphs in social networks. Time-dependent analysis metrics, useful to characterize market influencers and interactions between different wallets, are also introduced. Based on those, we identify across a number of NFT networks the widespread presence of both investors accumulating NFTs and individuals who make large profits.SCI-STI-M
