R3B time projection chamber
No full textWithin the international FAIR project, the R3B collaboration (Reaction studies with Radioactive Relativistic beams) will be in charge of the physics program with secondary beams of energy between 200 and 1500MeV per nucleon. Central to the R3B set-up will be a large-aperture superconducting magnet under construction at CEA-Saclay. An international collaboration has been formed to work on the design of a large time-projection chamber (TPC) to be installed behind this magnet to cover the full phase-space of the charged fragments produced in the target. Within this collaboration, tests of detector prototypes were performed with the heavy-ions beams at GSI Darmstadt. These prototypes were equipped with a gaseous Micromegas detector. Two amplification technologies were tested, either conventional or resistive Micromegas and two construction concepts, bulk-Micromegas or micro-meshes screwed on the PCB. We will present the results of the last beam and the 1m TPC station which will be dedicated to make tests using the real drift distance and compare the performances of micromegas and GEM
Robotic Versus Laparoscopic Gastric Resection for Primary Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors >5 cm: A Size-Matched and Location-Matched Comparison
No full textThis study compared robotic (RR) and laparoscopic resection (LR) for primary gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the stomach >5 cm. Twelve consecutive patients who underwent RR from 2012 to 2015 were matched for tumor size and location with 24 patients who underwent LR from 2000 to 2012. The median tumor size was 7.1 cm (range, 5.5 to 11.5). GISTs were resected by wedge resection (91.7%) or distal gastrectomy. The median RR operative time was longer than that of LR (162.5 vs. 130 min, respectively; P=0.004). Only 1 LR patient required conversion. The time to flatus and hospital stay were similar between groups. Overall, 3 patients developed minor postoperative complications that were medically treated. Mortality was nil. All resections were R0. No difference was observed in the incidence of recurrence. RR was significantly more expensive (+21.6%) than LR. RR appears to be safe and feasible for GISTs>5 cm, but is associated with longer operative times and greater costs

Anatomie comparée de la phonation: morphologie laryngée et phonation
No full textComportement des systèmes auto-oscillants et dynamique non linéaire : applications aux instruments de musique et à la voix; GSAM - Acoustique Musicale: GAP - Voix et ParoleNational audienceCette étude concerne la « phonation comparée » de trois larynx excisés provenant d’un babouin, d’un chimpanzé et d’un humain. En comparant la phonation, mais aussi les paramètres qui la modulent, la présente étude s’inscrit dans une approche d’anatomie comparée, contribuant à l’étude de l’évolution du larynx et de son fonctionnement. Les larynx ont été tous prélevés en suivant la même procédure puis conservés (-20°C) dans les mêmes conditions. Une première particularité est apparue lors du prélèvement avec des sacs vocaux présents chez les deux singes, et très développés dans le cas du chimpanzé. Après décongélation, chaque larynx a été placé sur le banc de test développé initialement pour l’étude de larynx humains (1). Le larynx est placé à l’horizontale et repose sur les bords postérieurs du cartilage thyroïde. Deux paramètres étaient contrôlés: - La configuration glottique grâce à un contrôle mécanisé qui agit sur la bascule cricotyroidienne, et donc les caractéristiques physiques de plis vocaux - Le débit d’air excitateur de la glotte, fourni par l’intermédiaire d’une sonde d’intubation d’anesthésie dont le ballonnet gonflable assure l’étanchéité Les paramètres mesurés étaient la pression sous glottique, la pression acoustique, et le signal electroglottographique. Le plan glottique a été filmé avec une caméra ultra rapide (8000images/s) ainsi qu’avec une caméra champ large (24images/s). Deux types d’essais ont été conduits 1) à débit stable avec une modification dynamique de la configuration glottique, 2) à configuration glottique donnée, et débit d’air variable. Les seuils de pression phonatoires, la résistance laryngée, la fréquence fondamentale de phonation, et la forme du signal glottique seront présentés pour chaque larynx et seront comparés entre les espèces. −− (1) Thierry Legou, Aude Lagier, Fabrice Silva, Nathalie Henrich Bernardoni, P. Patativa do Assaré e a identidade sertaneja: oralidade, memória e religiosidade
No full textPatativa do Assaré stands out as a poet by presenting a significant feature in the literature: steal a memory co school building and, through it, an identity Sertaneja. Through his memory the poet translates parts of northeastern culture, preventing them from falling into oblivion. Moreover, his poetry stands out as a cry for justice that the call not to fight and the social and political involvement. It, therefore, the power to redeem the past, prepare your ears for new ways of the future. On that view, he does a route from within the context of the author whose popular poetic style predominate in your work, and soon after, we analyzed the presence of erudite culture and mass culture in its context of literary production.A poesia de Patativa do Assaré distingue-se por expressar uma situação particular na literatura brasileira: apropriar-se de uma memória coletiva e construir uma identidade sertaneja. Partindo de tal matéria, o poeta gerou e legou os elementos de uma cultura nordestina vivida por dentro, impedindo-os que caíssem no esquecimento. Além disso, sua poesia destaca-se como um grito de alerta que convida os excluídos à luta e ao envolvimento social e político. Comporta, assim, o poder de resgatar o passado, encorajando o seu ouvinte a pensar no futuro. Partindo dessa perspectiva, faço um percurso de contextualização do autor na poética popular cujo estilo pre onderou em sua obra e, logo após, analiso a presença da cultura de massa em sua produção literária
