Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura, Florianópolis, 2010Esta dissertação estuda a escritura do romance A rainha dos cárceres da Grécia de Osman Lins no limiar entre ensaio e ficção, principalmente no livro Guerra sem testemunhas, apontando para um narrador que se apresenta como testemunha para a escrita e que, no entanto, desaparece permanecendo o gesto. O conceito de anacronismo enquanto tensão entre tempos, representados neste livro pela aparição de personagens da história medieval (Maria de França) e pelo uso da quiromancia percorre toda a dissertação. Estes indícios contribuem para uma leitura enviesada feita a partir da ideia da teresa como máquina de leitura para atravessar os tempos do romance-diário. A aparição de personagens arcaicos no romance moderno, revelam as volutas do enredo, a escritura barroca de Osman Lins e a impressão como uma memória que caracteriza o livro como um romance contemporâneo segundo as considerações de Walter Benjamin e Giorgio Agamben <br

KÖK DEĞERLER AÇISINDAN OSMAN ÇEVİKSOY’UN ROMANLARI
No full textOsman Çeviksoy’un romanlarını kök değerler açısından incelemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışmada tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın inceleme materyalini Osman Çeviksoy’un Başıma Dağlar Düştü, Ömrümüz Gurbet ve Bebiha adlı romanları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri betimsel analiz tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda, romanlarda değerlerin 204defa kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. En çok kullanılan kök değer sevgi (f=53) olup onu sorumluluk (f=37), yardımseverlik (f=35), saygı (f=31), dostluk (f=12), dürüstlük (f=11), öz denetim (f=8), vatanseverlik (f=7), sabır (f=6), adalet (f=4) değerleri takip etmiştir. Eserlerde, kök değerlerden en az yer verilenin adalet olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre Osman Çeviksoy’un romanlarının değerler açısından zengin olduğu tespit edilmiş olup bu eserlerin değerler eğitimi açısından da önemli olduğu kanısına varılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda önerilere yer verilmiştir
Guided construction search metaheuristics for the capacitated p-median problem with single source constraint
No full textIn the capacitated p-median problem with single source constraint, also known as the capacitated clustering problem, a given set of n weighted points is to be partitioned into p clusters such that the total weight of the points in each cluster does not exceed a given cluster capacity. The objective is to find a set of p centres that minimizes the total scatter of points allocated to these clusters. In this paper, a (, )-interchange neighbourhood based on the concept of -interchange of points restricted to -adjacent clusters is proposed. Structural properties of centres are identified and exploited to derive special data structures for their efficient evaluations. Different search and selection strategies including the variable neighbourhood search descent with respect to -nearest points are investigated. The most efficient strategies are then embedded in a guided construction search metaheuristic framework based either on a periodic local search procedure or a greedy random adaptive search procedure to solve the problem. Computational experience is reported on a standard set of benchmarks. The computational experience demonstrates the competitive performance of the proposed algorithms when compared to the best-known procedures in the literature in terms of solution quality and computational requirement. © 2007 Operational Research Society Ltd. Effect of high resistive barrier on earthing system
No full textSubstation earthing provides a low impedance path and carries current into ground under normal and fault conditions without adversely affecting continuity of service. Under a fault condition, the ground voltage may rise to a level that may endanger the public outside the vicinity of the substation. In such a case a high resistive barrier can be inserted around the vicinity of the substation to reduce the surface potentials immediately beyond the barrier. In this paper the effect of barrier on the overall performance of the earthing system has been investigated experimentally and computationally based on an earthing system consisted of combined grid and rods in a water tank. The effect of the position and depth of the barrier to the resistance of the earthing system and surface potentials in and around the substation have been examined

Greedy random adaptive memory programming search for the capacitated clustering problem
No full textIn the capacitated clustering problem (CCP), a given set of n weighted points is to be partitioned into p clusters such that, the total weight of the points in each cluster does not exceed a given cluster capacity. The objective is to find a set of p centers that minimises the total scatter of points allocated to these centers. In this paper, we propose a merger of Greedy Random Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) and Adaptive Memory Programming (AMP) into a new GRAMPS framework for the CCP. A learning process is kept in charge of tracking information on the best components in an elite set of GRAMPS solutions. The information are strategically combined with problem-domain data to restart the construction search phase. At early stage of constructions, priorities are given to problem-domain data and progressively shifted towards generated information as the learning increases. GRAMPS is implemented with an efficient local search descent based on a restricted λ-interchange neighbourhood. Extensive experiments are reported on on a standard set of bench-marks from the literature and on a new set of large instances. The results show that GRAMPS has an efficient learning mechanism and is competitive with the existing methods in the literature. © 2003 Elsevier B.V.
