Southern continuation of the Wakeham Group and Robe-Noire mafic suite (eastern Grenville Province) from hydrocarbon-targeted seismic reflection data on Anticosti Island, Quebec, Canada.
No full textHydrocarbon-targeted seismic reflection profiles acquired on eastern Anticosti Island (Quebec) image sub-parallel reflections with significant continuity below the Paleozoic St. Lawrence Platform. These intra-basement reflections define a seismic unit with a relatively simple geometry characterized by broad open folds, an array of sub-parallel markers and ENE-dipping faults. The reflective seismic unit likely corresponds to the southern extension of the Mesoproterozoic Wakeham Group and Robe-Noire mafic sills that are exposed on the nearby north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, in the eastern Grenville Province of Quebec.The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page. Usages gouvernementaux de la participation citoyenne au Chili : mobiliser, contrôler, légitimer (1964-2010)
No full textCet article analyse les représentations qu’ont les gouvernants démocrates chiliens de la participation citoyenne et l’usage qu’ils en font, tant au niveau discursif qu’au niveau des politiques publiques. Leurs rapports ambivalents vis-à-vis de la participation des citoyens qui, tout à la fois, légitime leur pouvoir et peut le remettre en cause sont-ils à attribuer au contexte et au personnel politique, ou, au contraire, à la structuration même de l’institutionnalité démocratique ? Pour répondre, l’analyse porte successivement sur le gouvernement d’Eduardo Frei Montalva (1964-1970), sur celui de Salvador Allende (1970-1973) et sur les gouvernements successifs de la Concertation (1990-2010). On conclut que, malgré des contextes opposés, les gouvernants entretiennent un rapport instrumental similaire à la participation citoyenne, dont ils ont besoin, soit pour mener à bien leur projet politique – dans les deux premiers cas –, soit pour réassurer leur propre légitimité et celle des institutions démocratiques – troisième cas.This article analyzes the Chilean rulers’ representations of public participation through their discursive and public policy uses. Can we explain their ambivalent relations with public participation –being both the source of their legitimacy and a threat to their power– by historical situations and political personalities? Or is it rather a structural effect of democratic institutionnality? To answer, the analysis deals successively with the Eduardo Frei Montalva (1964-1970), Salvador Allende (1970-1973) and Concertation (1990-2010) governments. It appears that, despite opposite situations, the successive rulers share a similarly instrumental relation with public participation as they need it either to achieve their political goals –first and second cases–, or to reassert their own legitimacy, as well as the democratic institutions’ –third case.Este artículo analiza las representaciones de los gobernantes democráticos chilenos sobre la participación ciudadana en relación con su uso, a nivel discursivo tanto como al nivel de las políticas públicas. ¿Es posible explicar sus relaciones ambiguas con la participación ciudadana que, a la vez, legitima su poder y puede amenazarlo como un efecto del contexto o del personal político? ¿O son más bien el efecto de la estructuración misma de la institucionalidad democrática? Para responder, se analiza sucesivamente los casos del gobierno de Eduardo Frei Montalva (1964-1970), Salvador Allende (1970-1973) et de los gobiernos sucesivos de la Concertación (1990-2010). Se concluye que, a pesar de contextos opuestos, los gobernantes tienen el mismo tipo de relación instrumental con la participación ciudadana que les es necesaria para avanzar con su proyecto político –en los 2 primeros casos– o para reasegurar su propia legitimidad y la de las instituciones democráticas –tercer caso

No full textEste estudio recoge datos novedosos sobre la construcción de la Torre del Pinet, una defensa costera prebaluartada. El autor busca paralelos en torres construidas a lo largo del Mediterráneo, enmarca cronológicamente su construcción y aborda los numerosos ataques que recibía la costa desde el s. XIV al XVIII. También se recopila los distintos proyectos de defensa de la costa a lo largo del s. XVI con la consiguiente reparación y reedificación de las construcciones anteriores. Finaliza abordando la situación de la torre durante el s. XVII, también bajo la administración borbónica hasta llegar a las referencias documentales que aparecen sobre la misma en el s. XIX.This study collects new data on the construction of the Torre del Pinet, a pre-bastion coastal defense. The author looks for parallels in towers built along the Mediterranean, chronologically frames their construction and addresses the numerous attacks that the coast received since the s. XIV to XVIII. It also compiles the different coastal defense projects throughout the s. XVI with the consequent repair and rebuilding of the previous buildings. It ends by addressing the situation of the tower during the s. XVII, also under the Bourbon administration until reaching the documentary references that appear in the s. XIX
