Large Language Models (LLMs) are becoming more common in agile software development, helping automate tasks like code generation and documentation. While large enterprises have successfully incorporated these technologies into their workflows, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) still struggle with significant challenges. Limited resources, scattered knowledge management, and a shortage of specialized expertise often make LLM integration more complex. While interest in these tools is increasing, there is still little research on how SMEs can systematically incorporate LLMs into agile work environments. This study explores the challenges and opportunities of LLM integration in agile SMEs through a qualitative case study of tegos GmbH and its partner organizations. Semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders reveal that LLM integration is often limited to ad hoc personal use rather than structured implementation. Key barriers include unstructured documentation, security and compliance risks, customization costs, and varying levels of employee readiness. This study presents a structured approach to integrating LLMs, addressing key challenges related to knowledge management, security measures, hosting options, and technical infrastructure. However, technical solutions alone are not enough. Successful integration also depends on strong leadership, well-planned change management, and comprehensive workforce training to facilitate a smooth transition. A phased implementation, clear governance policies, and continuous performance monitoring are crucial for long-term success. This research provides empirical evidence and practical recommendations by combining theoretical insights with real-world applications. It guides SMEs, helping them integrate LLMs effectively while staying aligned with agile principles and working within their resource constraints

Exploring relationships between changing food environments, food consumption behaviour, attitudes and nutrition outcomes for urban Vietnam

Food systems in Vietnam are transforming due to economic development, urbanisation, increasing disposable incomes and related changes in consumer food purchasing and consumption behaviour. As a result, the food retailing sector in Vietnam has been undergoing a rapid growth in the number of modern food retail outlets, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and mini-markets or convenience stores. Design of effective policy approaches to address potential adverse nutrition outcomes related to these changes requires an understanding of the interrelationships between urban food market environments, food shopping and consumption behaviour, attitudes and concerns about food safety and nutrition, and nutrition outcomes. This thesis attempts to empirically disentangle these relationships for urban Vietnam. The main empirical chapters of this thesis use a novel primary dataset from the Vietnamese Urban Food Consumption and Expenditure Study (VUFCES), which includes individual-level information from 1,700 urban households in the two largest cities of Vietnam: Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City. The VUFCES was conducted in 2016 – 2017 by a team of researchers, including the author of this thesis. Data collection methods included a household survey and 24-hour food diaries of the food and beverages consumed by each household member. The first study explores the relationship between urban households’ choice of food retail format, household income and time constraints, and household food quality and safety concerns. No significant relationship is found between concerns about food safety and food expenditure shares at different retail outlets. Concerns about food prices and freshness are negatively associated with food expenditure shares at modern retail outlets. The second study examines the relationships between three dimensions of food access (affordability, accessibility, acceptability), caloric (energy) intake and share of calories from carbohydrates, protein and fat for individual adults. Increasing disposable income is associated with higher caloric intake; possibly due to a substitution of carbohydrates with protein and fat. Further distance to wet market is associated with a higher share of calories from fat for individuals from lower income households. Greater nutrition concern is associated with lower caloric intake and a lower share of calories from fat. In the third study, we provide insight on the interrelationships between nutrition label use, health concerns, and consumption of food and beverages with added sugars for adults and adolescents. Nutrition label use and health concerns about sugar are significantly associated with a lower share of calories from sugars. Policies aiming to improve food safety through food market modernisation are likely to have heterogenous, and perhaps unintended consequences for different subgroups of the urban Vietnamese population. Rather than encouraging food market modernisation, the Vietnamese Government should focus on improving the market conditions of traditional outlets and increasing their competitive position relative to modern retail outlets. Providing good market access, is necessary to maintain an adequately balanced diet. Finally, nutrition labelling could also be an effective policy mechanism to reduce the negative health impacts of increasing availability and consumption of food and beverages with added sugars.Thesis (Ph.D.) -- University of Adelaide, Center for Global Food and Resources, 202

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

    Residual return reversals: European evidences

    No full text
International audienceThis paper revisits the performance of residual return reversal strategy for European stock markets during the time period 1990-2016. We confirm recent results for US data and find evidences of higher performance of residual return reversal strategy than those of conventional one. The residual return reversal in the EU are robust to market microstructure biases. However, the results are heterogeneous across countries, are robust in France and Germany, but seem to be fragile in smaller countries. We also find a strong significant and positive relation between residual reversal return and market volatility, which supports for the hypothesis that short-term reversal is associated to liquidity provision. Determination of the polarization amplitudes and CP asymmetries in B⁰ → φK*(892)⁰ at LHCb

The LHCb experiment is one of the large experiments installed around the LHC collider. Its aim is the study of CP violation and rare b-hadrons decays. This thesis addresses these two objectives. CP violation was found in 1964 in the decays of neutral kaons by J. H. Christenson, J. W. Cronin, V. L. Fitch, and R. Turlay. It was reconfirmed in 2001 in B meson systems by BaBar and Belle experiments. CP violation can be explained in SM using CKM matrix with three quark generations. The B0->PhiK*(892)0 is a rare flavour changing neutral decay which processes via the gluonic penguin diagram (b -> s transition). In SM, the predicted CP asymmetry is so small for this decay channel and any deviation from the SM value would signal ``New Physics". This decay is a pseudo-scalar decaying to vector mesons with spin-1. Conservation of angular momentum leads to three possible helicity states of the vector mesons which reflects into three amplitudes: these will be unravelled by an angular analysis of the final-state particles, Phi->KK and K* -> Kpi. An angular analysis of the decay B0->PhiK*(892)0 is reported based on data of pp collision at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb^{-1}, with the LHCb detector. The analysis includes both the contribution of Kpi and KK S-waves and a significant contribution from them is found. The measurements of P-wave amplitudes and phases is consistent with the one of BaBar and Belle experiments, but are much more precise. The longitudinal polarization fraction f_L for the P-wave is measured to be 0.499 +- 0.011 +- 0.010. The differences between the polarization amplitudes and phases of the B0->PhiK*(892)0 and bar{B0}->Phibar{K}*(892)0 decays have been derived as well as the triple-product asymmetries. The results show no evidence for direct CP violation

Isekai: Discovering Factors that Contributed to its Success and Diving into the Mentality of Contemporary Japanese Citizens

Isekai, an anime and manga genre where characters are transported to another world, has become popular in recent years. This paper examines the factors contributing to this phenomenon, exploring how isekai works resonate with contemporary Japanese citizens. It argues that the genre\u27s appeal lies in its ability to offer escapism from societal pressures, particularly those stemming from economic hardship and a lack of perceived agency. By analyzing important and known isekai works, including Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken, this paper demonstrates how the genre fulfills a desire of the Japanese for fulfillment and sense of agency. Furthermore, it explores the significant influence of Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs) on isekai, highlighting the incorporation of game-like mechanics and the society\u27s misfit protagonist archetype
