The Aspects of Smart Education in The World
Get PDFThe author examines smart education and its basic principles in this article. The author also
shows that smart education is a learning process in which technology innovations and Internet
resources are used globally. After all, it allows students to gain professional competence
based on a systematic multivariate vision and study of disciplines, taking into account their
multidimensional and continuous content updating. The author shows the concept of smart
education. It is the creation of an intellectual environment, the continuous development of
competencies of participants in the educational process, including formal and informal
learning processes based on innovative technologies. Thus, the introduction of smart
technologies in education will lead to the transition from the old system of reproductive
knowledge to a new, creative form of learning using innovative methods and will provide the
necessary knowledge and skills which will be necessary for the student in the future. The
author also notes that education based on three educational activities, namely, arithmetic,
reading, and writing, transforms into education which improves the following seven skills:
creativity and innovation; communication; cross-cultural understanding; collaboration and
leadership; critical thinking and problem solving; ICT literacy; career and life skills. These
are seven skills and abilities of smart education in the 21st century. In this case, smart
education assumes that the teacher should use technological innovations and Internet
resources. Thus, smart education provides new opportunities for teachers to share
experiences and ideas, do more research activities, personalize the course of study depending
on its tasks and the competence of the listener, and save time

Get PDFThe author considers the peculiarities of formation and development of the education system in Sweden. The author also shows the main factors which had a great importance in the promotion of democratic education and ways to improve it. At the same time the author analyzes peculiarities of modern development strategy of the Swedish education system, taking into account today’s democratization. Also this country has a medieval history not only of its establishment or development of their culture, but also education, which has come a long way of the recovery. It should be noted that the structure of the Swedish system more rapidly developed as a pluralistic, complex and fragmented, with its own dynamics and mechanisms that ensure homogenization / divergence and cooperation / competition. The system includes a remarkable number of institutions of varying size, profile and traditions that are now competing. All Swedish universities are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education. The exception is the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. Thus, universities and university colleges are in direct contact with the relevant ministry. Of course, this led to the fact that Sweden is called as one of educated countries and this country has the best educational model. For the reason that the higher education system has undergone fundamental changes over the past thirty years. The emphasis has shifted from national planning for greater independence and self-responsibility for the institutions. Former collegiate structure in the organs of decision makers in higher education have been transformed into a managerial structure.У статті автор розглядає особливості формування і розвитку системи освіти у Швеції. Також автор показує основні чинники, що мали вагоме значення при сприянні розвитку демократичної освіти та шляхи її вдосконалення. При цьому аналізується особливості сучасної стратегії розвитку швецької системи освіти з урахуванням сьогоденної демократизації суспільства. Також показано, що історія вищої освіти в Швеції бере початок у XV столітті з існуванням двох університетів: Уппсальський університет і Лундський університет, які були єдиними вищими навчальними закладами у Швеції протягом століть

The article discusses blended learning as an innovative approach that combines traditional face-to-face education with digital technologies. This model provides flexibility, individualisation of the educational process and increased student engagement. The author focuses on the key components of blended learning, its advantages (accessibility, personalisation, efficiency) and the main challenges, including digital inequality, the need for teacher training and low motivation of some students. The article also notes that the combination of the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, will further develop blended learning as a model for the future of education in the digital age

Метою цього дослідження є вивчення переваг та можливостей використання цифрових інструментів навчання та вивчення шляхів їх впровадження в навчальний процес на заняттях з англійської мови професійного спрямування. Для аналізу використання цифрових засобів навчання були використані як традиційні, так і нові методи та принципи. Застосовано принципи системності, цілісності, об'єктивності, історизму та розвитку, які є класичними підходами до наукового пізнання. Крім того, у дослідженні широко використовуються такі загальнонаукові методи, як аналіз, синтез, порівняння, абстрагування та систематизація. Адже цифровізація освіти передбачає впровадження сучасних прийомів, методів і форм фахової підготовки майбутніх фахівців у вищих навчальних закладах. У статті підкреслюється необхідність створення потужної інформаційної інфраструктури у вищих навчальних закладах, а також розвиненого інформаційного навчального середовища. Також підкреслюється важливість використання інтернет-технологій, комунікаційних мереж та електронного навчання. У документі сучасні цифрові інструменти навчання поділяються на три групи: додатки для створення тестів, завдань і вікторин; програми для створення інфографіки та презентацій; онлайн-інструменти для створення ігрових вправ. Кожна група включає відповідні цифрові навчальні інструменти та їх застосування в освітньому середовищі. Використання сучасних цифрових засобів навчання в освітньому середовищі було досліджено автором у цій статті. Зроблено висновок, що більшість цих ресурсів можуть бути успішно впроваджені в освіту завдяки насиченості інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій у сучасному світі. Автор припускає, що використання викладачами сучасних цифрових засобів навчання в онлайн-навчанні може покращити навчальний досвід студентів. Це допомагає викладачам подолати негативний вплив мовної інтерференції та йти в ногу з сучасним технологічним прогресом. Це пов'язано з відсутністю часових обмежень для перегляду навчального матеріалу або його коментування, що неможливо при стандартному очному навчанні. Сучасні цифрові навчальні інструменти оптимізують процес навчання, роблячи його мобільним, індивідуалізованим та диференційованим. examines the practical application of modern digital learning tools in the educational environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the advantages and opportunities of using digital learning tools and explore ways of implementing them in the ELT classroom. Both traditional and new methods and principles were employed to analyse the use of digital learning tools. The principles of consistency, integrity, objectivity, historicity, and development were applied, which are classical approaches to scientific knowledge. Moreover, the study widely uses such general scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, comparison, abstraction, and systematisation. After all, the digitisation of education involves the implementation of modern techniques, methods, and forms of specialized training for future professionals in higher education. The paper highlights the need for a robust information infrastructure in higher education institutions, along with a well-developed information learning environment. It also stresses the importance of utilising internet technologies, communication networks, and e-learning. The paper categorises modern digital learning tools into three groups: applications for creating tests, tasks, and quizzes; programmes for creating infographics and presentations; and online tools for creating game-based exercises. Each group includes relevant digital learning tools and their applications in the educational environment. The use of modern digital learning tools in the educational environment has been studied by the author in this paper. It has been concluded that the majority of these resources can be successfully implemented in education due to the saturation of information and communication technologies in the modern world. The author suggests that the use of modern digital learning tools by teachers in online learning can enhance students' learning experience. It helps teachers to overcome the negative impact of language interference and keep up with modern technological advances. This is due to the absence of time constraints for viewing educational material or commenting on it, which is not possible in standard face-to-face learning. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Ted talks as a digital material in foreign language teaching
No full textThe paper considers the opportunity of practical use of TED Talks as a digital material in the process of foreign language teaching and learning in educational institutions of different types. It has been shown that TED Talks are quite a significant and powerful tool for developing students' speaking skills. The students improve their communication skills in a foreign language; definitely, it provides further professional opportunities for getting and sharing information, experience, ideas and views. The paper illustrates that the spheres of influence of TED Talks materials, which will be used in the educational process, can be conditionally divided into four groups such as socio-cultural dimension, competence dimension, language dimension and psychological dimension. It is emphasized that TED Talks can be multifunctional, satisfying almost any didactic request. However, the teacher should take into account the certain criteria for choosing a video watching. These criteria are: what video is about, the usefulness of the topic video; the appropriateness of the video to the academic environment and the length of the video. All of these criteria help to create the video to be successful and effective. If the teacher neglects these choosing criteria, the teacher will have a negative result after the video watching and during the discussion of this video among students. The paper also highlights that the use of TED Talks during foreign language teaching helps the teacher to solve a number of problems, in particular, to overcome the negative impact of interlanguage interference, and to increase students' motivation to learn a foreign language. Furthermore, it helps to make foreign language teaching more interesting and creative.
У статті розглянуто можливість практичного використання TED Talks як цифрового матеріалу в процесі викладання та вивчення іноземної мови в навчальних закладах різних типів. Показано, що TED Talks є досить значущим і потужним інструментом для розвитку навичок говоріння студентів. Студенти покращують свої комунікативні навички іноземною мовою, що, безумовно, надає подальші професійні можливості для отримання та обміну інформацією, досвідом, ідеями та поглядами. У статті проілюстровано, що сфери впливу матеріалів TED Talks, які будуть використовуватися в освітньому процесі, можна умовно поділити на чотири групи: соціокультурний вимір, компетентнісний вимір, мовний вимір та психологічний вимір. Підкреслюється, що TED Talks можуть бути багатофункціональними, задовольняючи практично будь-який дидактичний запит. Проте вчитель має враховувати певні критерії вибору відео для перегляду. Такими критеріями є: про що відео, корисність теми відео; відповідність відео академічному середовищу та тривалість відео. Всі ці критерії допомагають створити відео, яке буде успішним та ефективним. Якщо викладач нехтує цими критеріями вибору, він матиме негативний результат як після перегляду відео, так і під час обговорення цього відео серед студентів. У статті також підкреслюється, що використання виступів TED Talks під час викладання іноземної мови допомагає викладачеві вирішити низку проблем, зокрема, подолати негативний вплив міжмовної інтерференції, підвищити мотивацію студентів до вивчення іноземної мови. Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
