No full textDieses Repository enthält den TEI-XML-Datensatz der historisch-kritischen Hybridedition der "Vorlesungen über die Ästhetik" von Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher (1768-1834) sowie Registerdateien und Schemata. Zudem ist ein SKOS-basierter Thesaurus enthalten sowie Begleittexte zu dessen inhaltlicher und methodischer Erläuterung. Alle enthaltenen Daten sind auf der digitalen Editionsplattform "schleiermacher-digital.de" veröffentlicht. Das Datenset der Druckausgabe wurde im Rahmen des DFG-geförderten Projekts „Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher: Vorlesungen über Ästhetik. Edition im Rahmen der Kritischen Schleiermacher-Gesamtausgabe (KGA, Abt. II, Bd. 14)“ (DFG, 2016-2020, Projektnummer 289633219, Projektleitung: Dr. Holden Kelm) erstellt. Das erweiterte Datenset für die digitale Edition inkl. Thesaurus wurde im Rahmen des von der DFG geförderten Projekts „Schleiermachers Ästhetikvorlesungen im Kontext. Zur Reflexion und Anwendung digitaler Methoden in der Konstellationsforschung“ (DFG, 2021-2024, Projektnummer 448730446, Projektleitung: Dr. Holden Kelm) erstellt. Rezension des „Corpus Oral de Referencia de la Lengua Española Contempóranea“
No full textIn this paper we review the „Corpus Oral de Referencia de la Lengua Española Contempóranea“. This corpus is a carefully compiled text collection of orthographically transcribed recordings of oral conversations. As it was compiled as a reference corpus, it provides texts of different styles and registers and has a considerable size of about 1,100,000 words. CORLEC therefore is an important resource for researchers interested in the field of spoken language. The Corpus is freely available as SGML-based-files or plain-text-files. As both variants are similar in their structure and content, the review addresses the two formats. The review first provides some background information and an overview of the structure of the corpus. Then, the transcription files are described in their structure and content. Eventually, a short overview of the integration of the corpus into other projects and a résumé are given

No full textHier zu finden ist der Datensatz der beiden digitalen Editionen „Lebenswelten, Erfahrungsräume und politische Horizonte der ostpreußischen Adelsfamilie Lehndorff vom 18. bis in das 20. Jahrhundert“ abgeschlossen in 2019 und „Die Spiegelung neuzeitlich-bäuerlicher Lebenswelten in den Akten ostpreußischer Gutsarchive“ abgeschlossen in 2023. Die digitalen Editionen teilen ihre Register Dateien, daher werden alle Dateien unter dem Kollektivnamen „Adlige und bäuerliche Lebenswelten in den Akten ostpreußischer Gutsarchive“ publiziert. Auf der gemeinsamen Webplattform (unter demselben Namen: https://lebenswelten-digital.bbaw.de/index.xql) können Besucher:innen beide Lebenswelten erforschen und vergleichen.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Buying Time with Climate Engineering? An analysis of the buying time framing in favor of climate engineering
Full text linkCan climate engineering help provide more time for an ambitious mitigation program? And if so, is a buying time deployment of climate engineering morally acceptable? The work at hand means to thoroughly scrutinize this specific argument of the climate engineering discourse – the buying time argument (BT-argument). The point of departure of this research is the notion that climate engineering (CE) is not inherently morally wrong. The guiding question is: Is there a possible buying time deployment of a climate engineering technology absent any general moral constraints? This question will be answered in several steps: First, a deductively valid version of the BT-argument is established. In particular, this argument implies that deployment of CE is to be finite and should not interfere with mitigation efforts. Containing a placeholder for a specific climate goal and a placeholder denoting a specific CE technology, the argument can only be fully evaluated, if the placeholders are instantiated. By doing so, this thesis aims at providing a comprehensive discussion of two CE technologies, Sulfate Aerosol Injection (SAI) and Bio-energy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS), and sheding some light on the moral aspects of potential CE deployment. The preliminary conclusion states that a finite and strictly purpose bound deployment of SAI might be morally sound, but the boundary conditions for such a deployment must be guaranteed by political efforts. The work at hand also highlights the importance of further research, especially with respect to negative emission technologies.
