Estellés in Manel Garcia Grau: from critical review to poetic presence
The aim of the article is to review the presence and impact Vicent Andrés Estellés has on the literary formation and, above all, on the work written by Manel Garcia Grau. On the one hand, his prose works on Estellés are discussed, which include literary criticism and the study of literature, as well as his journalistic collaborations. On the other hand, the incorporation and presence of the poet born in Burjassot throughout the entire poetic production of Manel Garcia Grau are also studied, of course in both stages of his evolution. The work also notes how the latter, upon discovering Estellés, is influenced by his figure in his early books of poems and also pays tribute to him through some texts. It also examines how he later studied Estellés as a critic and scholar of literature, thus delving into his poetry. Finally, once he is more familiar with Estellés’ work and literary legacy, he includes him in new poems of his mature books through intertextuality and hypertextuality with Estellesian texts. In conclusion, in the first poetic stage of Garcia Grau, the author incorporates Estellés as a literary influence and shows his presence in some poems by means of quotations, epigraphs, dedications, tribute to the poet, etc. In contrast, in the second stage, he uses and integrates Estellés into the configuration of his texts, considering him a reference and a source of borrowings, a textual model, and even a hypotext for the preparation of its hypertexts. This new use of Estellés stems from the study and analysis that Garcia Grau conducted in the meantime on the Estellesian aspects of his prose works, both in journalistic collaborations, and in literary criticism and literature study articles. The young poet from Castellon always had as a point of reference the poetic work of the poet from Burjassot.

This dissertation aims to analyze the illustrated children's album Tao, text by
Manel Ollé and illustrations by Neus Caamaño, a Chinese-inspired work
recently published in Portugal. The purpose of this work is to study an example
of children's literature, published in a Portuguese context, inspired by Chinese
philosophy, contributing to the popularization of its knowledge in Portugal. To
carry out this work, we started by choosing an illustrated book of children's
literature about the philosophy of Chinese culture, Tao. Then, we intend to
analyze the content of the work and the specific philosophical meanings, as
well as the philosophical connotations that Laozi wishes to convey. This study
includes the analysis of the illustrations and their contribution to the child's
understanding of the philosophical content and its significance in modern
Western society, with a view to enlightening children. In addition, the study also
includes introductions of the author, the illustrator and Laozi, as well as Taoism,
not to mention the contribution of elements of traditional Chinese culture in
philosophically-based children's literature.Mestrado em Português Língua Estrangeira/Língua Segund

The proposed approach utilizes GA to represent these systems using simplified single-input/single-output (SISO) models, significantly reducing their mathematical complexity while maintaining accuracy. The framework introduces GA-valued transfer functions (GA-TFs), enabling the extension of well-established multivariable (MIMO) techniques, such as Youla-Kucera parameterization, into the GA domain as an illustrative example. This demonstrates the adaptability of classical tools within the new algebra. The validity and potential of the approach are showcased through numerical examples of balanced and unbalanced systems, as well as physical implementations in a laboratory setup. The results confirm that GA provides a robust and scalable foundation for simplifying the analysis and control of three-phase systems, paving the way for future theoretical and practical advancements.Received 13 June 2024; revised 16 September 2024, 9 December 2024, and 31 January 2025; accepted 8 March 2025. Biochemical Characterization of Coriander Cakes Obtained by Extrusion
This study was designed to examine the effect of operating conditions such as nozzle diameter on fatty acid, sterol, and tocol composition of coriander cakes. Eight fatty acids were identified, with petroselinic acid accounting for 75–77% of the total fatty acids, followed by linoleic, oleic, and palmitic acids, accounting for 12-13%, 5%, and 3%, respectively, of the total fatty acids. β-Sitosterol was the major sterol in all oils with 33–35% of total sterols. The next major sterols in all oils were stigmasterol (24% of total sterols) and Δ7-stigmasterol (15% of total sterols). Coriander cake contained higher amounts of total tocotrienol where γ-tocotrienol was the main compound
An Overview of in Silico Methods for the Prediction of Ionizing Radiation Resistance in Bacteria
International audienceIonizing-radiation-resistant bacteria (IRRB) could be used for biore-mediation of radioactive wastes and in the therapeutic industry. Limited computational works are available for the prediction of bacterial ionizing radiation resistance (IRR). In this chapter, we present some works that study the causes of the high resistance of IRRB to ionizing radiation. Then we focus on presenting in silico approaches that use protein sequences of bacteria in order to predict if an unknown bacterium belongs to IRRB or ionizing-radiation-sensitive bacteria (IRSB). These approaches formulate the problem of predicting bacterial IRR as a multiple instance learning (MIL) problem where bacteria represent the bags and * Corresponding Author: [email protected]. 2 Manel Zoghlami, Sabeur Aridhi, Mondher Maddouri et al. primary structure of basal DNA repair proteins of each bacterium represent the instances inside the bags. We also present a formulation of the problem of MIL in sequence data and explain how it could be used to solve the problem of IRR prediction in bacteria. A brief comparison of the presented approaches is provided

Introduction: The doctorate is the third cycle of official university studies, which, through the defense of the doctoral thesis leads to the acquisition of the title of doctor or PhD from the Anglo-Saxon countries. Royal Decree law 99/2011 regulates doctoral programs, with a wide margin on quality requirements. The objective of this study is to find out if there is this variation in the requirements of the doctorate programs of the different departments of surgery of the Spanish public universities and to establish a quality scale. Methods: Cross-sectional observational study from 2/22/2021 to 3/3/2021, through a survey sent electronically to the professors of the departments of surgery. Results: Thirty-five departments of surgery were consulted, obtaining a response in 29 of them (82.9%). The observed variation regarding requirements has been basically in the quality of the research project, in fact in 25 (86.2%) there are no regulations on this. When it is presented in the form of a compendium of articles, these are required to be original in 15 (51.7%). Regarding the position as author, the doctoral student must be the preferred author, at least in 2 articles in 14 (48.4%) of the programs. In 14 departments (48.4%) there are no regulations on the position of the articles and quartiles of journals. When scoring the different programs according to their requirements, the variability is high, ranging between 2 and 19 points. Funding for the development of the doctorate is meager. Conclusions: There is a wide variability in the requirement of doctoral programs. Homogeneous levels of demand must be defined to promote and protect higher-level doctorates.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Learning & Autonomous Contro
